Ok, so I am cheap. I know sterile saline isn't expensive, but I would think it would be basically the same if I used 9grams of non-iodized salt per 1 liter of distilled water. Anyone make their own or have ideas? Thanks.
You can find recipes on the net. The question is...."what do you use it for?" and I don't need an answer....lol. But, the danger is contamination, and not mixing well. Easiest/safest to buy it. Hard to keep stuff sterile once opened and even harder reused. I suppose you could investigate home canning methods for sterilization procedures. And you'd be buying distilled water anyway if you want to do it properly.
If it's for vaping, it's less of a concern since you breath "normal" air all the time. But it's not a good idea for e-juice use, IMHO.
I have, but not for Juice, really not much to it. You can Google DIY Saline for OK directions. Amazon has some really small saline packs which would be pretty nice for juice.
I use a saline solution for a nasal sinus rinse. 500ml of distilled water, 2tsp. canning & pickling salt, 1 tsp. baking soda. Make sure you get the canning & pickling salt or something where the only ingredient is salt. Hope this helps!!!
****Correction*** 1000ml of distilled water. The rest of the ingredients were correct.
