Well the birthday boy's back

Happy birthday to you to e-pipe :bday:

Internet is still playing up, it's been up and down more than a yo-yo.

But I've managed to get my e-reader, from my lovely Wife, all set up and downloaded a couple of "Andy McNab" books for it. She got me the "kobo glo" which has a built in backlight for reading in bed, great piece of kit. I'm really chuffed with it.

My 3 outstanding orders from FT are all in the post somewhere.

Lisa, when you get chance to do a review of the Fogger, I'll be very interested - I've got one on the way.

Hiya mate, hope you`ve had a good day. Todds review of the fogger is very good in case you aint seen it.

Glad you have had a good un Ian,

I got the 18350 caravela as i seem to prefer my mods that sort of size, nice and comfy in the hand. I have the chi you kicked at 18350 and it is perfect; but 650 size is just a bit too big imo.

I don`t mind 650 if i am going out for the day, or working; but 350/500 size is for me really.

It's a nice looing mod that one Terry. You will need another o-ring for the switch though mate, it looks the same as the chi-you. Even the 3 tube set looks a good price too.

I've added a few more bits to my wishlist for next year :

Mainly tips, but I've also got the caravela 3 tube set in there too.

To be honest mate, I know their all random serial numbers, I'm subscribed to a FT thread - serial numbers checking in. Everyone posts their numbers on the thread.

Mine is number 7949, what's yours ??

Lisa, when you get chance to do a review of the Fogger, I'll be very interested - I've got one on the way.

FastTech Fogger V2 SKU 1511800 - 1.29 oHm on mesh after removing 6mm of wire I put her on the oHm tester and got a 1.8oHm, but the coils were large and loose and the legs stuck out under the screws. I pulled out 6mm of wire tightening her up and got an oHm reading of 0.8, moved her coils around a bit and it rose until I settled at 1.29oHm.

FastTech Fogger V2 SKU 1511800 - on FastTech Pisces

The Fogger V2 is quite a bit heavier than most toppers that I own. I looked over her with magnification and very good lighting. No odd threads, no scrapes, no chips, the glass is pristine and the metal threads and body are clean. Todd reviewed and showed his had flat screws, mine has rounder top screws at the fill hole as well as the bottom that comes into contact with the firing pin. Todd mentioned some issue with the distance and leaking, but I tried the Fogger on 3 MVPs, eVic, Vamo, Bolt, Pisces, Woolston Magneto, Smok Magneto, K100/101, AND a 650mAh eGo. She fired on them ALL. She's a hard hitter, the menthol in my Legend tobacco juice from HHV comes through and tastes sweet on my tongue... the first time I've experienced THAT! I only filled her up 1/2 way because I expected issues with the mesh, but I'll keep on vaping her on my thin walled aluminum Pisces to see if she over heats the battery or if something goes wrong. Is the great taste from the mesh or the Fogger? One or the other, but a 650mAh eGo battery puts out the same flavor as a MVP on 9 watts, so my belief system is a bit unhinged :/ Is the best vape from the juice, the battery, or the topper? This Fogger V2 just showed me that it may not be a combination of all three.

FastTech Oddy SKU 1442708 - 2.48oHm with installed silica wick

The threads on the two bottom pieces are hinky... Black grease and metal shavings are inside this piece. Screws taken out and gunk in the threads. She'll need a thorough cleaning before I do more with her.

No probs Terry - glad that it's sorted.

Cheers pipe-O,

I can`t believe i forgot about not letting these sort of tanks run too low, sign of old age i guess (I am about 13 weeks behind you) LOL. And to be honest, since i got this rocket i have hardly put it down, It really is that good.

Problem is i like the key lime from jj, and the hypertank is the only glass i have FOR NOW; so i vape it in that one.

I'm getting itchy to buy something new :p

I stupidly started looking at ecig vendors again this morning and i am now fancying a semovar mod and for atomizers i've been looking at the the stattcalm squape & the rocketscience doodlebug. Has anyone on here got a squape or know if FT do anything similar?

It's daft really, those 3 would cost me somewhere approx £450+

I really have to stop looking at these things! I'm sure in years to come things like this are going to become antique collectors items that are worth a fortune... especially some of the bespoke mech mods as they are the ones that could well still be working.

Here ya go terry;

Smoe Vesto Semovar VV/VW mod: SvoeMesto SM V3 Semovar Extended Kit - Cloud 9 Vaping
Stattcalm Squape Atomiser: StattQualm SQuape Atomiser Kit - Cloud 9 Vaping
Rocket Science Doodlebug Special Edition Atomiser: RocketScienceMods

Give it a couple of weeks and Ian will have bought them all so he can tell us about them :D

To be honest with you cody,

I would save your pennies, and just work with clones for now; at least untill your coil building is up to scratch. What i am trying to say is, you could fork out all that dosh on a couple of tanks which you can`t perfect.

It is only my opinion mate, and tell me to do one if you want; but i would definately just get a couple more clones to practice on for now. FT has got some crackers in atm :toast:

Oh and i nearly forgot- fogger was shipped today :)

Yep, there is no way i can justify buying them atm. They look nice, but there really isnt much point - I am getting better with the aga and the KFL, but the KFL in particular as Ian said is quite unforgiving if you dont get it spot on. If and when i can build coils and get them on with no hassle every time then i will look at getting some more goodies.

The trident you recommended is a lovely piece of kit, especially for a clone and i find it so much easier to use than the aga or the kfl - it was a good buy, that :)

I've been recoiling heads for my T4s https://www.fasttech.com/p/1395100 =] Doing good on them!!! 1.6oHm to 2.4oHm =] This really makes me feel better and KNOW that I won't have to be buying heads anymore =]

I was up late/early to catch a sale with my favorite juice vendor. I got a 236ml of Blue Moo, which is what I am tearing into and mixing with tobacco now. I also got a few of their tobaccos [which are said to be pretty sad attempts XD] and some flavoring for a special DIY I am attempting.

My first attempt to copy this juice, Conundrum, ended up being comparable to a Newport that I really love, but a bit better tasting because my menthol is cleaner tasting somehow.

I've vaped the Fogger through the night and again this AM and it's never overheated the battery, so I've placed it in my Bolt. It's just too heavy for my Pisces. The air hole adjustment at the top is handy, but I tend to fiddle with it a bit too much. I may be inadvertently moving it when I pick it up and vape or something.

I've got a $9.99 F-16 glass carto tank on my Pisces now and actually all week and it's been vaping great on one carto. I'm considering picking up a couple more with the 20% sale, but I'm still thinking about it :/

Wow, I've missed lots!
Ian, happy birthday!
Epipeman, happy birthday!
My, American friends, happy thanksgiving!
Lisa, thank you muchly - plenty of spares to keep my Aga running for years :D - let me know the damage when your about so I can square you up! Scrap that, just emailed you! Thanks Lisa :)
That aftershave you fellas was on about, I remember picking old spice for my Dad when I were about 5 one Christmas - nowadays his taste (or should I say my Mum's :p) is a little more expensive in slappy chop chops, Joop these days - might have get him old spice this year for a laugh!
Codz, I've had my eye on the doodlebug for months - before I even knew what RBA meant! I've gotta get one now I'm satisfied I can comfortably coil, I've not done loads, but what I have done is consistently good and working great - the only reason I change my coils is cos I like doing them, I'd happily take the challenge of getting that sweet, it's a beautiful looking mod and the few reviews I found on RSM are really good - I'm happy to fork out on this one and report back, let Ian buy some other shiny to guinea pig lol :)
I've had an awful week, got took to hospital the other night and came home this lunchtime, I've got a mental illness and withdrawals off a med that me and my doctor both agreed I should stop and I did a quick taper. Unfortunately I got withdrawals in the form of psychosis, I also spent the last few days smoking stinkies when allowed outside :( Fine now though, longer taper, no psychosis and as normal as I'm ever gonna get :p. So, mothers picked the kids up now they're happy mama's alright so I can chill a bit over weekend, aka, perfectly recoil aga with microcoil and cotton, vape some Aunty Flo's pear drops from AC and probably order a Fogger from FT!
Also put the remaining stinkies in the lock tin and be grateful I'm not in a state of psychosis all the time!
