Just built the Rainbow Heaven Killer 705 SS Clone after watching a video on another style of Killer clone. My oHm reading wear from 0.1 to 5.8 as I tightened it on or off of the oHm reader :/ I can't get a reading on the eVic. put it in 3 different mech and one heated up pretty quick, before I pulled it off. I'll be rebuilding it this weekend until I get it right =]

It sounds like you've got a short somewhere if the reading is bouncing around like that on the meter. Plus a short will make a mech heat up pretty quickly too.

I like the way you've modded the FT stand for your box mods, did Hubby do that for you ??

I'm just dripping the rest of my JJ juices now. Tried the Maple syrup first, it's pretty good, not as sweet as I thought it would be, but I reckon it will go well with my Belgian waffle. I'm on the cinnamon now, quite a kick with this one, it will be great if I ever get a head cold. I've only got the Cherry left to try now.

So on to todays update.

Cleaned out the Kayfun clone and had a proper look at it with my new helping hands magnifier (that arrived today from Amazon). It looked like there was a problem with the juice filling port on the Kayfun, almost as if it hadn't been machined properly and I couldn't see a fill screw in it, even under the magnifier. So I took a tiny spare screw from the Rocket box and managed to jam that in the fill hole. Checked it by filling the tank with water - no leaks. Later when I checked on the FT website the picture on there shows the fill port exactly the same as mine, so now I'm not sure if it's a mistake or it's supposed to be like that. But I couldn't get an allen key or anything else into the hole. Anyway, the tiny Rocket screw filled the hole - job done. Also I haven't got a screwdriver small enough for the tiny air adjustment screw.

By this stage, I'm getting a bit ....... I can't fill it by the fill hole and I can't adjust the airflow. So I just threw the free coil that came with it on the deck. Filled it using the Rocket filling method, fully expecting it to leak everywhere - used some old juice that I wasn't too bothered about losing. Left it for 5 minutes, no leaks. Couple of primer puffs, expecting no airflow - airflow was just great. Put it on the Vamo at 8.0 watts and fired it, expecting to get a mouthful of juice and loads of gurgling. Nothing of the sort, plumes of vapour and even the crappy juice tastes ok.

At the moment, I'm quite impressed. The only problem is, I didn't rinse it properly, so it still tastes a bit of washing up liquid

So if it's this good with a crappy silica wick, crappy juice and a bodged up fill port, once I get a decent micro coil with cotton in it and some good juice, I reckon this thing will be superb, almost as good as the genuine article even

Glad to hear that mate, I'm not a fan of menthol - so it should be a good juice then. I'm impressed with this cinnamon though, not too hot, just right

I have been playing with the taifun today, (not set up yet) but the build looks a bit crappy to me. The threads on the pc tank are very mushy, and the raised section of the deck comes completely out of the deck unlike the original. so it is hard to tell how far to pull it back up, after i have coiled it.

I have been playing with the taifun today, (not set up yet) but the build looks a bit crappy to me. The threads on the pc tank are very mushy, and the raised section of the deck comes completely out of the deck unlike the original. so it is hard to tell how far to pull it back up, after i have coiled it.

That's another reason why I got the magnifier mate, so I can check the threading on FT stuff.

As long as you don't pull the deck up too far and choke the wick, I honestly don't think it will matter mate. You just need to make sure the wick fills the slots fully when it's all put back together - it's pretty similar to the Fogger and the Kayfun in this area.

I hope it works out as well as the FT Kayfun has for me mate

So now, I've not got anything outstanding from FT. But the wishlist keeps getting bigger every day

Speaking of the Berry mix, you've just reminded me what the new juice I got from Nicoticket tastes like. You know the green one I posted about - Gravity. It does taste like berry mix but a lot better. It's a deeper, richer, stronger taste than berry mix. I'm gonna try the other USA juices I got soon too.

Forgot to mention, GVC in the Vmod tastes totally different. To be honest, I've got to feed the Vmod more so the GVC doesn't taste burnt, it must be one of those flavours that doesn't cope well with too much heat.

I'm going to see the Hobbit part 2 a week on Monday also. Looks really good on the trailers, a lot better than the 1st one.

It does taste like berry mix but a lot better. It's a deeper, richer, stronger taste than berry mix. I'm gonna try the other USA juices I got soon too.

Yes mate finished the painting this afternoon, so i can have a bit of a chill out tomorrow. the hobbit 11 does look a bit more interesting than the firsrt doesn`t it, but i think i will wait for the dvd to come out.

I reckon it should be a bit quieter on a Monday at the cinema, plus it's the day before xmas eve. I'm not really into packed cinemas, too many people coughing spoiling the film

Yeah the rocket is a great bit of kit, i use mine most of the day...everyday lol. Also the fogger is a beast, and i have yet to set up my taifun.

Take a deep breath Lisa and stay relaxed - have a quick stealth vape If you need any pointers for sorting out the short in the fogger just let me know, I've got a fix or two for it.

I get the same thing myself Daz. I have to open up the Vmod, to show people how it works

Having said that, most vape shops tend to sell mostly the cheaper CE4 type toppers. So show them an aios and they wouldn't have a clue. It's only us hard-core pros that now about the better kit

My GVC tastes a lot better today in the Vmod. Not sure if it's because the voltage on my battery has dropped a bit or because the atty has a good coating of juice on the coil now - either way it tastes a lot better.

I've now got some of the triphammer "Trip 20" in the dripper - nice stuff, this one tastes a bit like Vimto too. I'm going to put some in the Vmod mini to try tomorrow at work.
