Bloody hell mate, that's what I call being organised - breakfast, dinner and supper vapes

Must admit, I've only had one excellent capp/coffee vape myself - the one from Vapology. Even my DIY stuff was just vapable, so I've given up trying to get a decent coffee now. I think the two hardest juices to get right are coffee and chocolate. I've perfected the coffee one with my choco/caramel, so I'm happy with that.

Any sign of your kayfun from FT yet mate ??

LOL, no mate it has been in the air since the 9th, I think they are sending this order in a hot air balloon with the wind blowing the wrong way.

On a seperate subject ian, how do you find the draw on your fogger ?? mine is a bit tight even fully open !

You'll probably have the kayfun for your summer hols then :p

The draw on my Fogger is pretty good Terry, I did take the base apart though and trim some of the plastic seal off that sits behind the airflow holes. Saw a vid on you-tube about this. There's a full size plastic seal in the base that's supposed to be notched out to allow airflow. When the base is screwed back together sometimes this notch rotates and partially blocks the airflow holes. Mine had the notch in it, but I trimmed it even more, for extra air. You can't remove the plastic fully though, it's there to stop the pos pin shorting out. Also it's a pain in the behind to put it all back together again, took me about an hour to get it all back together :(

Hmm, i am wondering if i heated a pin up or something similar and burned through the 4 airholes; what do you think ?

Don't think it would work mate to be honest. The plastic is pretty thick, it's soft enough to be cut with scissors really easy though. Maybe try partly unscrewing the base and then if you can see the white plastic seal behind the airholes, see if you can rotate it a bit, so the notch lines up with the airholes. The plastic has the positive post running through the centre of it, so it does rotate pretty easily.

Have you tried blowing through the airholes just to see if there's a blockage, might just have some gunk in there.

You'll need a couple of pairs of mole grips, one on the base and one on the body - make sure their padded out so you don't mark anything. I think, it's reverse threaded too, but I'd have to double check. It's a pain to get back together though, if you take it apart fully. There's a small o-ring on the positive post, that's a pain to get back in correctly. Just do a search for Fogger V2 shorting or airflow problems, there's a couple of vids on you-tube about it :)

I know what you mean mate, nothing worse than alarms going off for no reason. To be honest, it's not a really old system. Luckily it's got all the motion sensors rather than vibration sensors, so no wind problems

I know why it went haywire. When the light in the kitchen tripped the fusebox, it tripped the 100A master fuse rather than the separate fuse for the downstairs lights, so half the electrics in the house went out. When I reset the master fuse, it must have caused a power surge, popping the small 3A fuse inside the alarm. Took me more time to reset everything afterwards, cos the system thought it was being tampered with. Luckily, I had the full installation manual from when it was originally fitted :)

Well that's lucky and I'm glad that you got it fixed. :)

On a slightly sinister note, though - I wonder about this thread sometimes.

It's as if it's all about drilling holes, using steel mesh, should it be vertical or not, has anyone got replacement screws...

I thought that it was all about sitting in a comfy chair and vaping your head off!

Mind you, I am roughly 1.000.000 years old.

That would explain it, then. :)

We're just a bunch of tinkerers, or should that be old tinkers ;)

Must admit, I love taking things apart, that's why I enjoy re-buildables. It's great when you try something new on a build and it works out. But it's also great to relax and vape after all the tinkering

-------------------------------

Anyway, I'm gonna call it a night now. Night all.

Even I wind a coil sometimes. But I do it less often when they're cheap from FT and already done. :)

Just vape that thang! :)

Well I've been busy today :

Re-wicked the KFL with a cotton nano coil @ 1.2 ohms.

Re-wicked the aga with SS rope, managed to get a 2mm ekowool sleeve on it, took a fair bit of torching, but it's on there. @ 2.8 ohms (I put too many wraps on it) it's a bit higher than I wanted, but it's on the Vamo so I can still get 9.0 watts.

Re-wicked the RSST with (drumroll please) SS rope and cotton @ 1.4 ohms. Used a 2.5 mm drillbit, so it took a while to get the rope/cotton through it, but it was worth it. Terry you were right, amazing vape

Also redid a couple of Novas with silica - for when I fancy some GVC.

I was gonna do the Fogger and Taifun too, but got side tracked with other stuff.

Yep mate it was an amazing vape until 2 minutes ago. Now it's showing LoV on the Vamo, so it's probably shorted. Oh well, it was amazing for an hour or so

Can't be bothered playing with it now, I'll leave it til tomorrow.

I know you said you can`t be bothered right now mate, but a 2 minute fix would be to just take around 4 wraps from the top of the coil; re-connect it and job done (with lower ohm`s)

Took the top cap off and the coil's popped mate. I'll redo it tomorrow, I prefer natural light when I'm recoiling. I've still got 6 other set-ups on the go, so it's not too bad ;)

Yep it's a cracking vape mate, cotton on the rope :)

Which caravela did you go for Daz ?? I've had my eye on the bronze one with all the tube sizes included - not that I need another mod
