To be honest I think I was chain vaping a bit too much and probably overdid it on the current draw. Protected batts don't really cope well with high amp draw, so it probably blew the protection circuit. Not a great loss, I've still got another 3 of those batts. At least it shows they do cut out when their supposed to :)

Yes imho it is always best to get some decent batteries mate, that is - if you value your fingers and face. I thought you would have been out to get some cotton balls by now mate, It works wonderfull on the rope and knowing how much you like your cotton.:)

Been doing my Housewifely chores today mate :p

Managed to clean out some tanks and charge up some batts too though, not been out of the house today at all.

I'm gonna pop to B&Q tomorrow though, I want to get some thin hollow metal rod to extend the gaps on the FT storage rack. That way I can move it without everything falling over ;) Plus I need some halogen bulbs for the kitchen (3 of the 8 bulbs have blown in 2 days). Plus I need to do some plumbing in the downstairs loo - been promising the Missus I'd sort out a small leak in there for ages, guess I'd better get it done

Very nice mate, so the dragon battery is exactly the same height as the SVD :)
Yep, but lots lighter

Is the wood varnished or is it just plain, it's a bit hard to tell from the photos ??
Just plain. I might coat it with something to protect the wood. Have to think about it.

I'm pretty sure you can get replacement switch components for the SVD, or it may just be a loose connection - hope you get it sorted Burnie
Don't think it is the switch. Can't turn it on if the switch is bad. He said he drilled an air hole in the 510 connection, I think it is a short in the connection, which is an easy fix. But a full SVD kit for $15 shipped, I'll take a chance. Also gives me the long tube which I don't have, not that I would use it, and a 30 topper, less the coil. Hey, It's only money. :)

I nice clear yacht varnish will last for years, but it will darken the wood a little.

That's a good price mate, even if you only use it for spares. 510 connectors can be picked up pretty cheaply too, not seen the insides of an SVD, but I guess it would be pretty simple to re-solder a new connection. I've taken a few mods apart myself, but not an SVD. Most mods are pretty straightforward with minimal connections when you take them apart.

That reminds me, I need some new cushion floor for the upstairs bathroom - cheers mate ;)

It's gonna be red hot in June mate - plenty of factor 30  I fancy Lanzarote myself, but I don't think we'll get a holiday this year, we can't get the same dates off work me and the Missus. Looks like I'll be finishing off the garden this year instead - need to lay a better patio, do a little brickwork and build a couple of raised veggy plots, as well as some other bits and pieces. That's my summer hols all taken up

Where in Lanzarote are you going mate ??

I thought you went there last year mate, or was it potugal ? Hotter the better for me mate i love it. If i remember correctly it is just outside puerto del carmen, not checked on the maps yet, but it is only a small island.

I think our 2nd or 3rd holiday abroad was puerto rico (gran canaria) what a beautiful place that was, i didn`t wanna come home.

It was Albufeira in Portugal mate :)

My Step daughter worked in Gran Canaria for about 6 months a few years back in the Clubs over there. She said the same, she didn't want to come home, but it was only seasonal work, so it did dry up.

I like it hot myself, quick dip in the pool to cool off. You can't beat it

Did you book a package deal or flights and stuff separately Terry ??

Funnily enough thats where we were looking at Ian, and lazerote was our 2nd choice. but after doing a bit of research on trip advisor i found just what we want in lazerote. All inc not to rowdy, but plenty to do. 10 minutes from the airport. Yep got a package mate @ just under £400 each.:)

That's a great price Terry for all inclusive.

I'd recommend Albufeira if you fancy going in the future mate, but be prepared for a lot of steep hills ;)

The place we stayed at was due for a bit of TLC. But to be honest it didn't really bother us. Some of the reviews on Trip Advisor were pretty whiny, complaining about the odd cracked tile. Some people have to moan about everything ;)

For me, as long as it's clean, quiet at night and close to local features - that's all I'm bothered about :)

Yep you are right about the whingers mate you always get them. It is the same where we are going, the odd 1 or 2 moaning about stuff but out of around 200 reviews i have read they are definately the minority. It really is supposed to be top notch for food, entertainment, booze etc. Also the staff are supposed to be really kind and helpful, with a fantastic manager-ess who will go out of her way to make sure your holiday goes well.

Can`t really ask for any more mate.:) Lets get cody and claire back and we will soon have it up to 1000 pages :D

To be honest on the reviews I saw on Trip advisor for our hotel, the new Manageress had replied to all the posts (both good and bad). She'd only taken over that same season we went there. She told us that the place was closing down over Chrimbo to get all the rooms refurbished. I'd like to go there again to see the differences, bet there'll still be whingers though :(

I'm pretty sure we can chat junk for another 500 pages though mate

---------------------------------

Had to fix the house alarm today. Another bulb blew in the kitchen and tripped out the fusebox. When I reset it, the alarm box was showing "tamper" and wouldn't set or do anything. Had to take off the front panel, replace one of the internal fuses (which had blown). Then do a master reset and re-programme it all with our new code and re-enter all the alarm zones. It's taken me about 2 hours to do it all and check all the zones are working properly. The neighbours must be well peed off with me, with it keep going off as I check each zone  Funny thing is, not one of them came over to check everything was ok. There was a lot of curtain twitching though

All that hassle for a bloody blown light bulb :grr:

Now that's bad luck. The problem with domestic alarms (especially older ones) is that "stuff" sets them off - heavy lorries, the wind. End result is that people often ignore them.

You would have liked the state my alarm was in when I moved here back in 2000. The previous incumbent thought that it was smart to fit vibration sensors to the window frames - so they went off in the wind, if a heavy lorry went past, if they felt like it.

All replaced now with pet motion sensors. Much more practical. :)

That is one reason i refuse to have them flush fitting halogen bulbs mate, if they haven`t got enough air circulation in the ceiling space they pop for fun. brother in law has the same problem.

I just ordered another 5 x 10 ml samplers from LT.

Grapefruit
cappuccino
fresh sampila
555 (tobacco)
desert ship (tobacco)

I just love trying new flavours out, and will continue until i have found around 5-10 which i would happily vape all day everyday.

I know what you mean mate, nothing worse than alarms going off for no reason. To be honest, it's not a really old system. Luckily it's got all the motion sensors rather than vibration sensors, so no wind problems

I know why it went haywire. When the light in the kitchen tripped the fusebox, it tripped the 100A master fuse rather than the separate fuse for the downstairs lights, so half the electrics in the house went out. When I reset the master fuse, it must have caused a power surge, popping the small 3A fuse inside the alarm. Took me more time to reset everything afterwards, cos the system thought it was being tampered with. Luckily, I had the full installation manual from when it was originally fitted :)

Not too bad really mate, the bulbs tend to last about a year, but whenever one pops it trips the fusebox. They do tend to pop in 2s or 3s though - give off a good amount of heat too, you can get a suntan from them ;)

The grapefruit, cappuccino and fresh sampila sound interesting Terry. You'll probably have them by Saturday :)

The sampila is supposed to be very fruity mainly blackcurrant, i was a bit iffy about the cappacinno as i had a bad experience with the one i tried from jj, bleeding disgusting that one along with the mocha, and another coffee one i tried from him.

But hopefully it will be ok from LT, The cappacinno and the grapefruit will be my AM vapes, then the rest through the day and tobacco`s in the evening.:)

Bloody hell mate, that's what I call being organised - breakfast, dinner and supper vapes

Must admit, I've only had one excellent capp/coffee vape myself - the one from Vapology. Even my DIY stuff was just vapable, so I've given up trying to get a decent coffee now. I think the two hardest juices to get right are coffee and chocolate. I've perfected the coffee one with my choco/caramel, so I'm happy with that.

Any sign of your Kayfun from FT yet mate ??
