Had a trip to my local b&m and they have started to stock alchemist so just had to try one.
Egg custard tart very nice in the trident reminds me of vanilla custard from mega vape but smoother although i only tried that in the protank.
Also picked up the soft efest battery case for a couple of quid holds 3 18650's.
Then today i finally got around to making a simple stand to tidy things up and stop em falling over.

View attachment 311514

On the ft front i got fedup waiting for the nemesis to ship counted down to one day then back to seven.
Cancelled that and ordered the brass chi to go with the brass kraken top cap that i have coming.

Update on the dual coil and ecowool in the kraken i have now pulled them out and gone back to single micro at 1.3 ohm with cotton as this works best for me.
Had some dry hits from the ecowool it just couldn't keep up.

Daz, how is the russian performing mate ? I have just been reading some reviews, and some are saying that the juice channels are too shallow. Have you had any probs with the wicking ??

Had a gander on their back when I first started. Similar blinding reviews to Vapology.

What put me off at the time was the prices, but it seems they've been reduced. £11.25 not too bad for 30ml, think it used to be something like £14.99

Will definitely be placing an order on their some point soon. Caramel Cappuccino.. Yum.

Yes i am looking at the 5 x 10 ml samplers, decent price for 50 ml. I will try them out when my stock starts running down a bit.

Glad you have found a topper that suits you cody. so how does the extended tank work with carto`s ? i don`t understand that bit.

The sophia looks exactly like a carto (i think its the same size as an XL carto so 45mm). The little tank i got with it is just a tiny wee carto tank really - it's shorter because the top inch or so of the sophia has to stick out of the top so that you can twist it (to control the juice flow). You can buy an extended body for the sophia which then makes it big enough to put in a normal carto tank, but you do need to swap out the top o-ring for a silicone one instead of rubber (it's a tiny bit bigger too so you can twist the top of the sophia).

both my orders shipped today, yipee do dah. Now let the game of patience begin.

Good luck with em Terry! The last of my order arrived today. I was really looking forward to trying the berry mix - unfortunately, they have sent me vanilla :( The absolute worst thing they could have sent me!! I am sick of rubbish vanilla flavours, but i have found 2 or 3 vanilla custard type flavours, which cost a lot more but are worth it. If i get to keep them, then i'll give it a try, but if i dont like it then there will be 59ml of unwanted 18mg Liqua Vanilla going spare ;)

The offers there Cody, if you want another topper for your growing collection.

Glad to hear the Sophia is working well for you mate. Do you think it will be easy enough to recoil it when the time comes ??

There is a difference between the clones and the genuine stuff Cody. The original gear tends to work great straight out of the box, whereas the clones tend to need a bit of tinkering to get the best out of them - either by playing around with seals or drilling out airholes. I'd give the clones I've got 9 out of 10, whereas the genuine stuff gets 9.5 out of 10. But having said that, if you can build a decent coil on a clone it's still a bloody great vape. The machining or finish on a clone will never be as good as the genuine article, but some of them are pretty close.

I think if you gave me your iclear 30 bits they would just be cluttering up my shelf mate, but cheers for the offer! :) I now have 1 KFL, 1 AGA T2, 1 TW Atomiser w/5 slim cartridges, 1 mini protank, 2 protanks2s, 1 evod, 1 trident clone, 1 306 dripper, 1 901 crystal tank, 5 901 megacarts, 1 big boaby, 2 IBT carto tanks, 1 iclear 30 & the sophia.

It's the carto tanks and the sophia that are going to get the regular use now, trident too for a bit of home dripping :)

I may just keep ordering packs of pre made wick & coils, but saying that it looks really easy to get a coil on it. It's placed on a ceramic cup with slots to balance the wick on, so nowhere for it to short out, and you dont have to get the legs tied down under screws - they just have to be in contact with certain metal parts of the atty, which looks simple enough.

That's pretty impressive to know that the clones are only 5% weaker than the genuine articles - especially when they are at generally 70% or more cheaper.

My MVP just arrived from myepack.

Straight away I can tell it's a well built device, some nice weight to it. Got no 'premium' liquids really to vape with ATM as they're steeping, so stuck some Berry Mix into the iClear 30 that came with it.. crikey it's got a tight draw!

Also got 3x Evods and a Kanger Aerotank. Will wait till my juices are ready before I use the Aerotank though.

________

Oh, that coil I built the other day - Couldn't check the ohms has I had no ohm checker to find out, so had no clue if it was safe and what not.. First thing I did with the MVP, checked the resistance of the built coil. 2.1, quite proud of that TBH :D

Iclear 30 - tight draw? Something not right there. When I use mine on either my Vamo or my v2 MVP the draw is neither tight nor airy - just right. You are refilling it by unscrewing the mouthpiece, aren't you? Can't think what else the problem could be.

Indeed I am.

Might just be cause I've been using the Protank 2 so often that I'm used to the more airy draw.

Ah i understand about the sophia now cody. Shame they got your juice order wrong mate, I never even got my 100 ml order delivered. Opened a ticket with them, after 2 months of waiting and after a bit of humming and ah-ing (basically giving me the run around) They have now offered me a full refund via paypal.

I have decided that i am going to start getting juices with good reputations from now on, as i am getting a bit tired of the cheap ones. I don`t mind paying more if i am REALLY going to enjoy them.:)

nice coil that daz, how many wraps have you done and what diameter ? what ohm`s does it read ? Oh and what gauge wire ? Looks like a little cracker mate.

I find 1.3 ohms good about 7 or 8 wraps around a tig rod that i got from work 1.6mm rod.
The wire is .3 canthal keeping it at 1.3 ohm means i can also use the kick if i want.
All i do is change the cotton every few tanks with a quick coil clean.

I seriously suggest you try Black Cat mate. It's one of Grizwalds juices, they describe it as a smooth creamy tobacco, with a hint of licuorice. Can't say I get much of a tobacco taste from it, I suppose thats where the creamy part comes in.

But my god, the smell, let alone the taste, is gorgeous.
Hmm I will give it a miss if it`s got liquorice in mate, can`t stand the stuff.

Yeah i have been doing a 6 wrap around a 2 mm bit, and i get around 1.4-1.5 ohms. next time i build a coil, i will do 7 or 8 round a 1.5 bit. I use the .3 myself, so should be good.

This place looks really interesting. Two professional chefs, and some really nice looking flavours which are well priced IMO.

Chefs Vapour

Good find Terry, I've added that one to my favourites too. In fact I've got that many juice and mod suppliers in favs now I've had to give them separate folders - UK juices, UK mods, USA & EU juices, USA & EU mods and China stuff

Gutted for you mate, vanilla is nothing like berry mix. Can't believe they mixed the two up :(

The Sophia sounds a similar set-up to the ithaka I got from FT. That has a ceramic cup too, but cos of the length of the coil legs I have to use no res/res/no res coils on it. On the ithaka the legs extend down about an inch each side - their huge

I also decided i needed some new juices and wanted to stay with higher quality ones, so ordered these from spiritus;

Epic - Wake 'n' Vape
Nickoticket - Gravity
Suicide Bunny - Sucker Punch

I really wanted to get some Mothers Milk from the suicide bunny range, but they were out of stock so maybe next time

The Gravity is lovely mate. Plus it's green, looks really funky in a tank. If you like the Gravity, I'd recommend Betelguese for next order.

The iClear30 has the airholes in the 510 connector. If the draws too tight you may need to use an airflow controller so air can get to the base of the 510 connector. Might be an idea to get a pin, to make sure there's no crap stuck in the airflow holes mate. Or maybe try it in another mod that has airflow channels cut into the topcap. If there's no air getting to the airholes it will be golf ball through a straw syndrome

You want to try a 1mm nano coil Daz. I've got a large paperclip that I use - exactly 1mm in diameter. About 8 or 9 wraps gives me 1.1-1.3 ohms. Means my cotton supply will last twice as long

It heats up really quickly, almost immediately :D

I can believe it with you mate :D Yeah i saw that site on another thread on here, and their juices are supposed to be top notch. Changing topic, i an getting fed up with these vertical coil set ups, even with the rope the bleeding wick keeps burning lol, and if i use a higher resistance coil the vapour production is crap.:(
