I love my Eva - and I think that she's taken to me and the missus. Which is nice...:)
Not surprised - they know when they're loved! :)
These creatures are wonderful with unconditional love - haven't been without at least one for 47 years! ...still think fondly of them all too.

Oh dear, the last email I got on 03/07 said it would be here within 24/48 hours, I've given it an extra work day, and now this, will put in a dispute tomorrow with Paypal.
I'm at the 'send' stage with it - just wanted to hear that you didn't get yours yet before I do that. I'm doubting anything will arrive now!
I got no reply at all to my message.

Thats good news then trish, as doctor terence said before, stay well away from pg for a looong time and see if the problem goes away.:)

Yes they are usually on the ball when it comes to enquiries trish, as long as you aren`t stuck thats the main thing.
Yes, I'll steer clear of it and also stuff like strawberry, cinnamon etc.
I turned the voltage down on the batteries too - not much noticeable difference either as they weren't very high anyway on the spinner and twist. The MVP's were used at 800w but I changed to using them at around 3.2v instead.

I mainly placed the order at FT for the tips so that I can get rid of the nasty metal ones on the Protanks and hopefully the iClear 30S. Those have now been despatched along with the other things, but not the 30S coils which aren't urgent anyway.
The flow thing is to hopefully stop the odd leak on the 30S.

FT are great with queries, might take them a while to reply, but they always do get back to you. Good result with them splitting the order too Trisha :)
They replied very quickly actually - sent the despatch notice only a few hours later too. Really happy with that.

Crikey, you lot have been getting into deep discussions on here!
Ah, proper deep think tank!

Anyway, i eventually found something that i really liked the look of and have put an order in... whoop whoop, havent had any vapemail for ages, although its going to take some time before it arrives!
Will it arrive in time for your birthday? :)

Push that button trish, paypal the hell out of them.
Did that! ...seems I'm expected to correspond with them! I can escalate it to a next level as long as I do it before 27th - and I will!
If I get nowhere with that, I actually paid Paypal using a CC rather than a debit card, so I have that to fall back on perhaps too. I often change to my CC if it's a reasonable amount with an unknown or newish company, and this order was for £45.

So, looks like no more Waves of Vapour orders for me! doubt I'd order again even if that site does re-open. I do like the Frappucino though...pity, but I'll survive!

I've put my dispute in asking for my money to be refunded, luckily mine is a lot less than yours, only £17.50, I'll give it a couple of days to let her respond, and then escalate it, when and if all is sorted, I will be putting out a warning on all the forums - and while I was typing this the postie came with some VapeMail - I'll post a piccy once I have it set up.

I can't understand why you are getting leaks at all, I have had no problem at all with my 2 30s or any of other iClears ones that I have, and I have 4 x 30, 2 x 30b and 4 x X.I, one thought that just came to mind, check the threading, you may have cross threaded it at some point when putting it back together, it is quite easy to do, that's why I prefer the X.I it's a glass tank, so not threaded, but you have to be careful with them as the glass is fairly thin.

I present to you the latest addition to my collection which arrived this morning "The KATO Square" it's almost as wide as a VTR but about 20mm shorter and can take 22mm tanks, shown here with a Russian installed:

I've put the VTR behind so you can see the difference in size

almost forgot the lovely zipper pouch it came in...

EDIT: weird how the lettering came out white on the top piccy, it's actually laser engraved into the aluminium like in the bottom piccy, top and bottom pieces are made of steel

Bloody hell thats some serious dosh mate  I think the vapesafe is what our friends over the water call a 2 cent fuse. If i ever bought a pipe at them prices, it would have to be an unregulated one, less to go wrong etc.

I thought it must be just a little fuse! It was one of those things i just had to have, and ive spent next to nothing for a couple of months now, plus its my 40th in September so why not!

Trish - my birthday is 18th September, so i am hoping to have it by then :) they say 6 - 7 weeks after paying the deposit, then of course another week or two delivery to the UK, then customs holding me to ransom so may just get it in time!

Well Codz, if the bowl is a plateau briar it might be worth that amount of cash. If you were going to smoke good baccy in it.

But you're vaping! You've got away from all that nonsense. Why not just settle down with a nice box mod?

I know I do! :)

I did think about the unregulated mech pipes for precisely that reason, but the ones i liked were unkickable, which i really would have wanted if i bought one, plus i was reassured by the write-ups freight train mods were getting, and they also have a 1 year warranty, plus a repair service after the warranty expires so fingers crossed it will be ok (or i'll be sending it to ian for repairs, he loves that kinda stuff hehe;) )

Well I've been home for a while now, but fell asleep for a couple of hours  Only managed to get about 3 hours sleep last night :(

My last ebay purchase came in today, for a Kayfun lite plus, managed to bag it at auction for 16 quid, the seller had them on a buy it now at £20.99, so I think I did well there. Not sure who makes it, but it's identical to the one I got before with the Maraxus mod. Lovely deep wicking channels, so should work great with Rayon, seems better quality than most of the FT clones :)

When I got home, the cat greeted me and showed me the lovely big poo she'd done in the litter tray - that's a job for the Wife to sort out when she gets home tonight

-----------------------------

We've always had dogs in years past. But after we had to have our last one put down 4 years back, we agreed not to have any more pets. Whilst we loved having dogs, it stopped us going on holiday for years - I'm not a fan of kennels. Our last pooch was a Doberman Rotweiller cross that weighed about 9 stone - he was like a donkey  Had a problem with his ears though, used to get lots of infections. Came down one morning, he'd been scratching his ears and shaking his head, caught one ear and split the main blood vessel in his ear - the kitchen looked like a horror film, blood everywhere, almost lost him. After that, we said no more pets. Now we get a holiday every year.

--------------------------------

Cody, if you're pipe does go wrong, send it this way for me to look at - you might not get it back though

--------------------------------

Just put in an order with FT, battery heat shrink (for my salvaged batteries from the laptop power pack), another drip tip and a couple of the Stillare RDA's. Was just gonna get one Stillare, but the order wouldn't qualify for free postage

I'm going to colour code all my batteries, so I've ordered a few different colours in the heat shrink. Got too many green batts at the moment, that all have different mAh's - so colour coding will help :D

Here's the order :

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1697900
https://www.fasttech.com/p/1754800
the two RDA's, one silver, one brass

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1774202
drip tip splits in two, so 2 tips for the price of 1.

https://www.fasttech.com/p/1323903
ordered this heat shrink in purple, black, blue, orange and yellow.

Just noticed that I'm up to 9.09 rebate points too, so I'll soon have another $10 voucher :D

You need a new route!

Yes, like thick wallpaper paste! ...well, you asked!
Thing is though, when I smoked, I had terrible sinus problems, and that brought it's own version of gunk! So this is nothing I can't easily deal with, and I don't have the sinus pain anymore.
I get a sort of choked up cough mainly in the mornings, but again, not the kind of deep chesty cough one gets with smoking, and it does clear usually after a nice hot cup of tea. Just a bit of congestion build-up ...and perhaps why overdoing even VG can cause me the minor wheezes.
Seems we can't give up smoking without exchanging one set of problems for another :)

Yes those were the original car phones! I recall the MD's where I worked walking around full of self importance with these black cases!

Couldn't send you a heap of sticky coils! - soaked them overnight, rinsed them and let them dry. Been ready to send you for some days, but I'll send you a few bottles of liquid that has PG in it, so I'll get them packaged and sent soon! :)

My Dad was always the one with an affinity for animals etc. We had a vicious parrot many years back, but if Dad came to the house, it would sidle along the arm of his specs and gently take a sweet from between his teeth! She was cute in her own way.
Cats are fickle creatures! :)

Did a couple of different routes today, not good, had to take money from passengers and speak to them  Normally they get on, scan their free passes and I just grunt at them

Wallpaper paste sounds exactly right  Mine could probably only stick a stamp to the wall though, so not too bad, at least it's not enough to do the full living room

Animals always seem to be drawn to me (must be the fishy smell Terry ;)), I don't mind, as long as it's not a snake. I hate snakes, evil looking, slithery things, YUCK !!!!

Never had a queen, all my cats have been Toms, Fred my one, is quite vocal and likes lots of attention and soon tells you if he's not getting it, luckily he's a shorthair so it doesn't get in my drip tips

This cat is supposed to be short haired too, but those bloody hairs seem to be everywhere :(

At the moment, she's in the kitchen, on the windowsill, trying to catch raindrops as they run down the outside of the window - might be a bit easier if she was actually outside

Very nice mate, I love the way the topper is recessed into the mod, that's a really great touch.

I thought it must be just a little fuse! It was one of those things i just had to have, and ive spent next to nothing for a couple of months now, plus its my 40th in September so why not!

Send it this way mate :D Looks similar to a Meersham (don't know if that's spelt right), like the type Sherlock Holmes used to smoke. The only possible drawback I can see is if anything does go wrong, fingers crossed it doesn't, who pays for the postage if you have to send it back under warranty ?? But with a DNA30 in it, should be a cracking vape mate. FT do a cloned DNA30 chip, that gets pretty good reviews, so I'll sort it out for you mate no problem after the warranty runs out. I'm planning on getting the FT chip after my hols, for my box mod project.

From the description it sounds more or less the same as the infinite, but the pics don't do it justice in traditional fasttech style lol. For £15 this is a steal IMO, didn't expect to see this so soon!

$25.70 Stingray X Style Stainless Steel + Copper Mechanical Mod - 18350 / 18500 / 18650 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Looks good mate. I did see that one earlier, I'll wait to see if they do a brass and copper one or even an updated version 2. But it does look like a great piece of kit, especially with the hybrid adaptor.

Animals always seem to be drawn to me (must be the fishy smell Terry ;)), I don't mind, as long as it's not a snake. I hate snakes, evil looking, slithery things, YUCK !!!!

Snakes and insects (apart from butterflies, ladybirds & money spiders) give me the creeps.

They do moult a lot in the Summer, I'm forever brushing down the sofabed in the front room, and they can be quite amusing, I can just envisage her trying to catch the raindrops :)

Very nice mate, I love the way the topper is recessed into the mod, that's a really great touch.

It's a lovely piece of kit, made by the same people that makes the original Astro, and I'm trying to increase my ratio of Originals to Clones

Send it this way mate :D Looks similar to a Meersham (don't know if that's spelt right)

Haven't checked it but I think it is Meerschaum (a german word after the makers name)

I'm planning on getting the FT chip after my hols, for my box mod project.

If it turns out good, would you be planning on making more, might be interested in buying one if it looks nice :vapor:

I had a look at that, would go nice with the mixed and black copper versions that I have

I only chat up the ones I know are loaded Bob :laugh:

With me it's just snakes, I've always had a fear of them. When I was a kid, I couldn't even watch one on the TV, had to leave the room. Not as bad now though, but I definitely wouldn't touch one

Was quite funny watching her paw away at the window. Would have thought after 5 minutes she would have realised it was pointless

The originals I've got do perform better than the clones, but with some modding, ranging from slight to major surgery, the clones I've got are almost as good as the originals :D

You're probably right about the spelling too mate, didn't do very well with German at school

The box mod is still in the planning stages at the moment. I've sourced the boxes (in various colours), the wires, the chipset, buttons and connectors. Planning on installing an led into the switch circuit, but I'll be doing one that takes 18650s only - single or possibly double, not sure yet. Even sourced a decent soldering iron for the detail work. The first one for me, I'm planning on giving it a steampunk/gothic design - been trying to find some suitable additions for this, but so far nothing really catches my fancy. I still need to do a bit more research on MOSFET too, see if it will be needed or not.

Well, I was getting gurgles and leaks with something and that gizmo was suggested and linked to at FT from this thread by someone ..think it was Terry or Ian. Not even sure what I'm supposed to do with it.
I haven't used a 30S since putting in a new coil. I thoroughly washed/dried the old one but not sure if it'll work.

See, that's why I'm sat in my studio ...can keep away from people! ...mostly!
Was in a phone shop today with younger son when his wife phoned him needing a friendly voice ...had a row with her boss! Some chauvinist twirp apparently. Bosses! who needs em ...or, come to that, customers!

Wallpaper paste sounds exactly right  Mine could probably only stick a stamp to the wall though, so not too bad, at least it's not enough to do the full living room
If wallpaper paste was my only problem I'd be laughing! We were in a hurry today and rushing back to the car so son could go and collect his little monsters, I was wheezy! Hadn't taken anything though, so I've just taken an anti histamine.

Animals always seem to be drawn to me (must be the fishy smell Terry ;)), I don't mind, as long as it's not a snake. I hate snakes, evil looking, slithery things, YUCK !!!!
Yes, we hate the things too! Not keen on earwigs or those spiders with faces!!!
Apart from that though, animals are far better company - know where you are with them mostly :)

At the moment, she's in the kitchen, on the windowsill, trying to catch raindrops as they run down the outside of the window - might be a bit easier if she was actually outside
...and the solution is ......?

I'm only anti-social when I'm working

I actually let the cat out later on, first time she's been out without her lead on. Watched her for 10 minutes, she had a good snoop around the back garden, popped her head around the kitchen door to make sure I was still there, then went for a wander round the front. She came back after about 20 minutes, had a clean then curled up on the dining table

You sound just like my Wife with new technology  She's currently trying to add a printer to her laptop, it's taken me 5 minutes just to type one line, I keep getting "it's just done this" :(

The Meerschaum thing I think means sea-foam - whatever, it's a very light clay-type bowl for those who smoke baccy. When you have "coloured" a Meerschaum you've broken it in. Basically the tar and nic penetrate to give it their own colour. They're great - but even more than a Vamo - don't drop them! Blimey. now you've got me thinking about pipes again, and baccy - Ogdens 12-inch flake (scented) from either Taylor and Breedon or Thorburn and Clarke. Oh no - let me love my vape instead (ever seen a really dirty pipe-cleaner? I used to inhale that). :)

You're probably right about the spelling too mate, didn't do very well with German at school

I have quite a good vocabulary of words, just find it hard conversing in German, although it gets easier once I have been over there for a few days, I was born in an RAF hospital, due to my parents being in married quarters in Minden at the time.

The box mod is still in the planning stages at the moment. I've sourced the boxes (in various colours), the wires, the chipset, buttons and connectors. SteamPunk I like, have got my name on the list for "The Slug", but haven't heard anything yet.

I followed what they said and sent her a message requesting a refund - haven't heard anything. If I get nothing tomorrow, I'll escalate it to the next step.

Still nothing received here either - on another note I managed to get an order in with NT for some Frenilla & Strawnilla, just 15ml to try

Is the gizmo the "airflow control", if so it screws onto the 510 connector on the battery, then the 30s screws into that, a. it will save wear and tear on the battery and b. you could end up with a better connection which could be a cause of the leaks, as for the gurgles, what I normally do if I get those, is to take the 30s off the battery and holding a scrunched up piece of kitchen roll over the connector blow through the mouthpiece, that should clear any juice that is in the way, then re-attach it, press the power button for a second or two, then start vaping again.

So, took the Nokia 625 Windows phone back to CPhW - they accepted it without even opening the box! Manager at EE/Orange said he thinks they gave me an EE/Three mobile phone instead of an Orange one and that's why two sim cards wouldn't work (he'd tried putting a new one in it yesterday)!

Most of their employees are paid peanuts - guess what you get  Glad to hear you got an Android, it's a bit of a learning curve, but doesn't take long, sure the son will get you going.

Is she a regular round at your place, because I'm amazed she didn't run off and get lost

Yes, I looked it up afterwards on Wikipedia, did try a pipe myself many years ago, but couldn't get on with it and went back to the fags, glad I'm rid of them now :D

I used to have a couple of Meerschaums - very nice, but no match for a plateau briar!

Whatever - we vape now and we're saving the world/whale/money/health of the nation...something like that. :)
