Hi Tom here well I went and sat at the hospital and waited and waited and waited and then Ron woke up I told him everyone on here is sending there wishes he smiled acknowledged I was there and went back to sleep just couldn't believe it I don't think he was awake 90 seconds the Doctor said it is normal and at least he knows who I was
the doctor said he should now wake up 5-10 times today each time only for minutes getting longer as the day goes on
Brilliant news Tom! You must be so very relieved.
I imagine Ron won't have any idea of what he's come through yet - can only get better from now! :)
Happy news!

they are going to move him to a room of his own and the best news is the doctors have told me to vape in it as the flavours will help him wake up and they have said Ron can vape as well when he wakes up
don't know what to take him though but looking through his gear I think I will take him
2 X vamos
2 X kayfuns
2 X Russians
a battery charger 4 batteries and a shoe box with it all in and top the box up with juice
think that should do for now

That's great news Tom and fantastic that they have specifically told you to vape in his room. Hope you're both blowing clouds together in no time.

Just to let you guys know that I placed an order with Fastech on 23/9

and it was delivered today with no problems whatsoever

Thanks again to the members who helped me out

What did you go for vince? We're always interested in gear people are buying here.

Well i thought my MBV order would have arrived today :( It has been 9 days now, and i have never waited this long before. Sooo i have dropped them an e-mail and wait for their response. On a positive note, the customer service is supposed to be second to none. :)
I hate it when things don't turn up when expected!

VapeRus are out of stock of the Eleaf iStick, but expect stock in the coming week - she says she'll send a replacement as soon as they arrive.

I just saw that Vape Escape have the Alien Visions ones (100% VG) so I ordered some Boba's Bounty - sounds nice!
I almost ordered the Caramel one, and also their RY one, but thought better of it - I can get the good RY from CV, and in a zero nicotine if I want it (for mixing with the PG/VG NT ones!), and the caramel was again for mixing with others. They only come as low as .6, so I'll stick with CV.
I actually have a zero nicotine VG caramel one somewhere!

My CV order was despatched today!

Also, an order I placed with NT was despatched today and one 30ml bottle of Got Cookie was upgraded to 50ml as a bonus! Nice :)

Yes it is very frustrating isn`t it. I got a reply from the owner himself, who has told me that international orders can take up to 20 days in transit, and for me to wait a couple more days. If i still don`t have it in a couple of days, to get in touch with usps and get a case number, they will then re-send the order free of charge. :)

You did well there with your brucie bonus trish.

If you're anything like me, you want everything yesterday! I do hate waiting for things! I have another Eleaf iStick, but want my blue one

Hey, if that twirp had anything to do with it I'd run in the opposite direction!
Seriously though, it's nice to get an unexpected thank you. I think it would be my fifth order, I got a 30ml bottle of strawberry instead of the 15ml ordered.
All the orders come with a Zotz too!

Tom - Great news, think it will take a couple of days before he starts chatting normally though, and at least the doctors know what's good for him [clouds of vapour]

Trish - spoke too soon this morning - my blue one has shipped so should get it by end of week instead of Wednesday, knowing RM - although you keep quoting AP Ireland the tracking info is coming from RMs awful system, thought you might have got it today, but it looks like some idiot really has put it in the wrong bag and it's ended up somewhere else.

My last order from MBV took 15 days from the date they actually told me it shipped - which in my mind is good, means no steeping needed :)

Great news! I'm sure you'll like it - I think they're terrific. Charged the silver one today (not quite flat) and it charged in less than 90 minutes. The battery symbol flashes a 'flash' and then goes off once fully charged. I used a 1000mah mains charger.

The tracking info was all shown on the AP website, obviously, the UK entries would be picked up from the RM system.
When I saw 'delivered on 2nd at 10.22am' it looked pretty conclusive to me that it had been sent to the wrong address.
VapeRus thinks the lady who does the post did put the right tracking number on my invoice details, but stuck it on a completely different package! Still doesn't sound quite right though because even by non tracked methods, it would have arrived by now - My red one did ...did you see me sneak that one in ......

Thanks bob. I said to the owner ( joe ) That i will give it till the end of this week before i talk to usps. :)

I just watched a vid on you tube, it was super x drifter, a member on this forum. He was showing how to wick using rayon, and it`s totally different than how ian told me to do it.

Ian hope you are reading this mate, but the way he did it was to put just enough wick in that you have a tiny bit of resistance when pulling the wick through the coil, and not stuff as much as you can through as you suggested

I am now wondering if it was putting too much in what was causing the problems i was having, with my coils gunking up so damn quickly. I replaced another one today, and put cotton in, and the same had happened, what happened a short while ago, in that the coil had burnt through the wick. I blame that on stuffing the rayon through, so it is effecting the wicking.

So in future it will be less rayon rather than more. :)

I agree, as soon as he starts nodding off again, start vaping his GVC, that will keep him on his toes.

Trisha - I think it's just a case of trial and error at first, finding out which wick works best with which liquid. Everything will fall into place eventually - that's what I love about this vaping lark - all the fine tuning and tinkering that's needed  As I said, once you find out which ones is best, I'll redo the wicks for you :D

--------------------

Terry - I've seen SuperX's videos too mate. To be honest I went off JeremyR's original instructions about the rayon, he was the one that did all the groundwork and research with rayon originally. Must admit, I've never had a rayon wick burn through yet. Every used wick I've taken out has been rinsed out and it's as good as the day I put it in. I think the difference might be the density of the wick before it's inserted into the coil. I just sort of pat mine together before I pass it through the coil, rather than pack it tightly together. Hope that makes sense  It's always a tight squeeze to get it through the coil at first. But as the rayon shrinks as it gets wet, if it's not too dense in the first place, the fibres have room to shrink, but they'll still stay in contact with the inside of the coil. If the rayon is densely packed when it's dry, there's no space for the fibres to shrink, so it won't wick properly and you'll probably get the wick burning through - very technical

I bet we'll get our MBV orders this week some time mate. We can have a postage race if you want

-----------------------------------------

Bob, glad to hear your getting back to being ambidextrous mate  As promised, I'll be sending your bits off soon :)

-----------------------------------

Tom, excellent news about Ron. You never know, you might be able to convert some of the medical staff over to vaping. Will make the hospital smell better too, some nice clouds of GVC wafting around the wards

-----------------------------------

Adam, nice set up mate. They go really well together :D

-----------------------------------

Been another long day today for me. 13 hours again. The tax man is loving me at the moment, bet I'll get a thankyou card from him

I reckon that is where i have been going wrong then mate, really packing it in. I did suspect doing it that way would impact on the coil, and not allow the rayon to wick proper.

I will do another kayfun tomorrow drifters way, and note any difference. :)

The way my order is going at the minute, you will win  Never know though it may turn up tomorrow.

I read somewhere, the best description for wicking with rayon is "wait for the squeak". When you pull the rayon through, it should be dense enough that you hear or feel a small squeak. I still have to hold the coil with my fingernail at first, but I can still move the rayon backwards and forwards once it's in place. It doesn't need to be as dense as silica, but denser than cotton. Bit strange I know

Remember I said at first, rayon has a learning curve ;)

I was hoping my MBV would arrive today, but no such luck - unless the Wife has hidden it

-------------------------

Short stay again for me I'm afraid. Need an early night again, I'm knackered.

See you all tomorrow :)
