That wasn't a very nice story, good job you were there, will definitely think about taking my own if it ever happens again, trouble is next time will probably not be a day case, the staff at King's are very good, being a teaching hospital they have a variety of cultures working there, the guy who was doing the Catheter was a Roman called Roberto, the chap moving the Ultrasound Imaging Scanner around was a Kiwi, don't know where the Surgeon in charge was from but definitely not here, and we had nurses from France, Poland and various other places, and there was always at least one nurse in the recovery room to look after a max of 8 people in different stages of recovery. Can't see any bruising to the wrist today, just got to keep the puncture wound covered and not use the wrist for the first 48 hours, but it looks like it is healing better than 10 years ago when they went in through the groin.
True it wasn't a good thing to happen, and I don't mean to alarm anyone, but just be aware of how many times they give drugs when possible - it's always OK to question it or check.
As for food, perhaps different hospitals may vary, but they don't seem too hot on keeping people nourished, and it is part of a recovery process.
I'd imagine Kings has a very good reputation, and will do a very good job.
That department is a good deal removed from one that fixes hernias and similar on day cases :)

Most of the tobacco type juices I have found vile, I have the RY from CV and one I picked up over in Latvia "BioFumo" (italian made) but have run out of that one and doubt I'll get it again.
I like the ones I have from NT (just wish they were available in VG) H1N1 Virus is very nice ..no tobacco taste, Wakonda is rather special too - it gets a hint of dark coffee as it steeps. There's a new SR on Tuesday: DarkSide which may have more tobacco taste to it and perhaps be quite earthy. All of those plus a few more such as the Got Cookie are ones I rely on using at 15-20% in the CV Confusion!

My pal over in Antwerp has a partial, with the little metal clips and he swears by them - but pay the extra to get a good one made probably save you 3K or more.
That sounds good with clips!

Let me know what they say about the Confusion, I have enough to last a while, but it is one of my v.good ones, CV, MBV and Strix seem to be my mainstay juices these days, with the odd other one thrown in now and again, even going off a lot of the NT ones.
Yes, I will - there's no concentrate on the list either though :( CV is probably where I buy the most when it comes to quantity. They have four that I use almost daily one way or another, and a few more that I use a fair bit.
Nicoticket often lets people know on the forum when stock is running down or due to disappear for good.
I do know a couple of places to get VG Crème Brulee from, including Nicoticket. There's something about the CV ones - perhaps a slightly different brand of VG, but it seems to give me less trouble. I use zero nicotine with the ABC & Confusion or I'd think it was the nicotine they use because when they sell it, it's in a VG base.
I also see that Highbrow Vapor has CB too ...it's just that it's another that involves higher postage costs being in the US!

Had a reply from Lew - he says they decided to drop the least popular from the site, but will be happy to make them for anyone on request, so you'll still be able to get it Bob.
That's good to know! I have around 200ml of Confusion, but wouldn't be happy if I had to go off to find another brand!

He says that the Queen of Puddings has taken Karl a year to get right. I've ordered a small bottle, so will soon see what it's like! I ordered the new PMP too :)

I'm wondering if the PMP is the result of the Tropical Trifle that Terry was told may be made ...perhaps the custard & cream part didn't work out. Whatever, I already know I'll be trying it with some ABC as well as on it's own. Nice for me that it has no pineapple in it - or banana!

Sounds like a good plan - can always change your mind at some later date.
Nitey-nite! :)

Yes i think i will go down that route trish :)

Cake with Blackcurrant Jam and Meringue.

Mmm, now that does sound like a nice one to try.:D

Cheers bob i think i know the ones you mean, as my dad had them for years. Yep i will get some of them i think. The practice i am using now is a private one which offers many alternatives, so i will give him a ring on monday - Cheers for the tip mate.

Well good news all round then eh and panic over . Could well be a replacement for the Caribbean trifle trish, i did keep wondering what had happened with that one.

Anyhoo all this talk of puddings is making me hungry, so off i pop to make some steak with fried onions garlic mushrooms, and chunky chips  see you later.

Yes, glad they'll still make it!
I'm looking forward to trying those two new ones!

Sounds very nice ....what sort of chunky chips? I like chips and miss the 'bad for you' kind, but can't find any low fat versions that are anything but rather dry and uninteresting!

Hi all, hope everyone is well :)

I'm still waiting for my pipe - they emailed and said they were running behind, so it would be approx a month late, which meant late sep/early oct. Hopefully i should get it soon. I've been trying a few of the juices i bought and some i'll get again. The Grizzly Vapes kokobear from Spiritus is nice - kind of a chocolate flavour to it, but not like any others i've tried, possibly a mild mint choc, hard to tell. The other i am enjoying at the moment is nanas dessert from Trip Hammer - like a blackurrant / blueberry cake (jam slice style) but with more emphasis on the pastry and a nice subtle fruit flavour mixed in. The Betelgeuse from NT was good too, not as nice as Gravity IMO, but worth getting again at some point. Once i've run down my current stock i'm gonna order some from MBV.

Sorry about your pipe Cody! It'll be a rather late birthday present!

Funny you mentioning the Kokobear - I was just talking about it earlier. It's supposed to have a banana flavour in it along with the chocolate and that put me off - I don't care for the banana flavoured ones. Did you not find much of a banana taste?

Did you see the new ones from CV? Queen of Puddings: a bread/cake with blackcurrant jam & meringue. I ordered some last night along with their other new one PMP Papaya, Mango & Passion Fruit.

Yes i will give them a try next time i order trish :) Unfortunately the chips are the bad for you kind  Done in oil in the deep fat fryer. I love chips done in beef dripping, but she stopped me doing them like that, cos it stunk the house out. :(

No doubt they'll be here around Tuesday, so I'll be able to give you some first impressions!

Those chips in a deep fryer done in beef dripping are exactly how my Mum & Dad cooked chips! Never had chips like them since some time in the 80's.
We had a deep fryer, but it was the most hated job in the house to clean it, so one day, into the bin it went! Even using an oil in it, and with a charcoal filter in the lid, it steamed the windows up and made the house smell!
Naturally, once there was high cholesterol to deal with, we didn't buy another one!
Think I may have to visit the fish & chip shop soon!

Yes do trish, i am guessing they will be very nice. Our fryer does that as well, and nobody seems to go anywhere near it to clean it  I reckon in the near future this one will also go to the bin, and i will get a good old fashioned chip pan.

Went to our corner shop today to stock up on my guinness, and they are selling evod`s ( knock off`s ) at £2.50, so i got one for my youngest son. It read 2,4 ohms on the meter, and he is vaping it right now. Not too bad a price that.

That's the sort my Mum & Dad had most of the time. They got an electric one eventually.
We had an old fashioned one back in the 70's - kept it in the under sink cupboard, and it had that stuff that sort of solidified when it got cold again .....walked into the hallway one day to see a trail of the stuff right along the carpet - youngest was just a tot and thought it fun to take the pan 'for a walk' ..dragging it by the handle, sadly upside down! :( Think we used a whole bottle of washing up liquid just to dissolve the grease! Ugh!
Fact remains ...I want some chips!!! :D

That's almost a throw-away price! :) In fact, a disposable cigarette size small one costs more than that!

 Yes that would be the good old beef dripping trish, as it does go hard when cold. I haven`t looked at fasttech prices for the evods but i wouldn`t be surprised if they originated from there. :D

If you ever want me to send you any, just give me a shout. I am a good customer of his and i bet i could knock the price down a bit. :toast:

Ours wasn't ...it was some sort of solid oil - bought it in large wrapped 'bricks' at the supermarket. Can't remember the brand but it was a popular one at the time. It never went totally solid, so slopped along the floor quite nicely! :(

I'm using the ones I have, and think I have around 6 unused. Thanks for the offer though :)

Very tempted by that new CV Queen of puddings juice. One of my favourite desserts that, and sounds interesting that it took them so long to get it right.

Made up some inawera concentrates today and once I've judged the strength of them I'll be experimenting with some more complex flavour creations of my own. I was thinking a choc/caramel / hazelnut one, chocolate orange, some fruity mixes and adding extra fruit flavours to the pinacolada concentrate (which is meant to taste great on its own anyway).

No probs, the offer stands if you ever get stuck. :) The one i got i have filled with the moo juice, as our liam loves anything strawberry. Just a bit too overpowering strawberry for me, but may be ok with one or no extra shots. He had been using joose juices citric punch which i haven`t had for ages, so i filled a kayfun with it and it is lovely.

Not touched this one for about 9 months, and it is indeed very citrus. it`s like lemon lime and tangerine to me. :)

Lew said the stages it went through before Karl got it to his satisfaction were nice enough! I'm hoping it's as good as it sounds ...I didn't get much flavour from the Fluffy Nuts one for some reason.

Getting adventurous!
I've got two flavours to make some Caramel Butterscotch when I get more time to mess around with such things.(Ssh, don't tell Terry - he even hates the sound of the stuff!)

Also beef dripping chips... Mmmm. Would you vape that as a flavour?
Er ...no! Belgian waffles are as close as I'll get to chips!

Mmm sounds nice
Ick!

I'll remember that you can get them! Despite all the sophisticated tanks available now, the Evod is still very effective and simple. I'm using two at the moment.
I just remembered that I have a Steamgunk citrus one - Sunshine. I'll have to try it again - didn't have a lot of flavour when it first arrived.
I'm thinking I'll have to use a bit of the Jamaican Ginger again - I do like that but need to be prepared for it to ruin a coil in a day!
