I love double glazing phone calls, I'd chat to them for hours then when it gets to the nitty gritty, I'd have to tell then to contact the council :banana:

Good one mate  Must admit half of the time I can't understand what their saying anyway and they can never pronounce my surname properly

-------------

I'm pretty certain Ron's postcode is TS3.

Well I've been having a play and swapping stuff around.

Rewicked the Reo/Rm2 with a new twisted coil, the old one was really gunked up - my coffee mix is tasting lovely again. Trimmed the wick tails on the kayfun that I've got the QOP in. One side was a little too thick, so that's lovely too. Finally did a dual coil build on one of the Foggers, comes in at 1.0 ohm, filled up with Fluffy Nuts and popped it on the IPV2 - another yummy success :D

They always get my name wrong as well, Walker instead of Waller - drives me nuts - even the hospital got it wrong last month up on the board for all to see.

Thought that might be it, put his name into Google and found the TS3 bit on 192.com :) and that is in an area very close to JCUH, maybe when they said they couldn't find him, they might have meant that he was no longer in Hospital, although i gave them the 2 dates I had and would have thought they would have looked back.

On another note RE F1 on TV it has one that likes it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_4st8VeUT8
 I imagine a lot of cats would love the rapid movements in F1 - our dogs rarely take any notice.
They both did the thing that all puppies do when they first encounter a TV ...peer around the back to find the rest of the person! :)

I never answer unknown numbers, most of the time their trying to sell double glazing
Our phone actually speaks the caller or the number. We had intended turning that feature off, but it's useful if you aren't near a phone and hear 'call from international' or 'call from withheld'. No need to rush and we just pick it up and put it straight back down.

If I don't talk to her before bed, she'll only start chatting when I'm trying to go to sleep
Silence as they say, is golden! ;)

I think they should be paid more  Seriously though, their facing possible death or serious injury at every turn. Their some of the fittest sports people you could ever meet. Lightning fast reflexes, amazing car control and their at the pinnacle of motorsport. They get journalists interviewing them on the grid, 5 minutes before the start of a race, you wouldn't see football players with a microphone in their face 5 minutes before kick off. On the hottest race days, they can lose up to 3kg in body weight during a race. Similar g-forces to the fastest fighter jet pilots and they don't wear compression suits. A huge amount of safety and performance devices that we now enjoy in our family cars were originally developed by F1 engineers. Have I managed to convert you yet ??
...Er, no  They do it because they're good at it and have lightning fast reflexes ..and they choose to do it.
On the whole, they're self assured and likely to be buoyed by pre-race interviews - it'll drive up the adrenalin rush they need to get off the start line fast and fearless.
Football players? ..they wouldn't dare stick a microphone in their face before a match ..they'd likely swear, pick their nose and spit

I know, bit of a rant, but very highly paid sports prevents 'the man in the street' taking his children to matches and races due to the huge costs.

That really is weird Bob. Even if they couldn't give any info about his condition, they would still be able to tell you if he'd been admitted or discharged. Getting quite strange now. Maybe Ron is really working for MI5, he's been deep undercover posing as a coach driver, trying to infiltrate the hard core vaping community  I do hope he's ok though.
I agree, it is odd. If he was ill again, surely Tom would have let us know, and if he's off recuperating, again, he'd let us know.

I had two 'Microsoft' calls a week ago - first one was a man who said he needed to fix the Trojan on my computer. When I told him my computer was perfectly protected and had no virus, he rang off. A few hours later, it was a lady who said she was from Microsoft computer security ...I just laughed, said "of course you are" - and hung up :)

RE: RON Well now this is getting weird, I called the James Cook Uni Hospital, which is the biggest in the area, and they checked and have not had him in, there is a smaller one in Stockton, so I tried that as well, and they have had nobody by the name I was given either between the 23/09 when Tom said he was admitted and 16/10 last time he was on here.

If you have sent him stuff Terry and the addy is either TS3 or TS5 then both are very close to the JCUH, maybe if you have his addy, might be worth sending him a note if you can.

It is indeed TS3 bob, I can send you his full Address if you wan`t to pop a letter in the post mate, i am just too busy at the minute.

To be honest most people that know me tend to get my surname wrong too  Although Terry did spell it correctly last time he sent me a parcel

Hopefully that's the explanation Bob. You tried checking, that's the main thing :)

Dont you just love it when 3 plans come together

Certainly do mate  Normally it's 2 work and 1 doesn't

I'd get tons of ear-ache if I didn't talk to her at some point during the day

Ok, so you'll never be an F1 fan then  I don't just watch it for the racing though, I'm a bit of an F1 geek too. I love all the technical side just as much as the racing. Like I said, a lot of F1 innovations do filter down to our every day road cars :D

I remember a few years back, one of the drivers in one of the smaller teams was still working part time because the team he drove for couldn't afford to pay him a living wage. While at the same time Michael Schumacher was earning a million dollars per race

If they'd have rung me about a Trojan on my computer, I would have put them on hold......for an hour

Well i got my new toys today :headbang::banana: After opening the package the first mod i went for was the i-stick, turned it on and it was fully charged. Put my kayfun with the coffee and cream in, set it @ 15w and had a blast :D I gotta say for such a small box it can certainly put the power out, notched it back down to 11w and it is bloody perfect for the 1.5 ohm coil.

Trish/Bob, thanks for recommending it, even with a 22 mm kayfun sitting on it there is only a touch of hang over on the edge, and i am well chuffed with it.:D

Okay on to the IPV, unpacked it and i thought, wow what a light mod, hardly any weight to it :) A quick look at the instructions on charging etc, set it up and put it on charge. 5 clicks to power it up and have a quick look at the screen etc. Nope, it wasn`t having any of it, so i walked away for an hour or so then went back to it. Nope still nowt

Stood there scrattin me melon, then a light came on, the reason i thought it was so light in weight ??? No pigging battery in it. What a bloody swizz, 63 quid and you don`t even get a sodding battery with it. Sooo as i gave my 650`s to ian, i am stumped till i order some :( Ian flat top or nipple mate, before i get some ?

:lol::laugh: Sorry mate, good job I wasn't drinking a brew, it would have ended up on my laptop :laugh:

As far as I know mate, you can use either battery in it. I've just used a flat top VTC3 and a flat top Panny in mine so far. There's a fair amount of compression in the spring, so you should be ok with flat top or nipple top. Do you want your Torchy batteries back then  I honestly thought you still had an odd 650 lying around, I don't feel bad about recommending the mod though :p It's still fairly light, even when it's got a battery in it

It might be a better idea to go for a higher output lower mAh battery mate, especially if you gonna use the mod at higher watts - if possible 20+ amps batteries. Not sure of the rating of the 3100 mAh batts from Torchy, but it's something to check. The Sony VTC batts are generally 35 amps, so better for higher wattage mods.

Don't worry mate, we all have blonde moments

Flat top is better and preferably Sony VTC4 or 5 if you can get them otherwise Samsung INR18650-25R which seem to be available (got 4 on there way to me tomorrow from Amazon) that way it will handle the higher watts if needed.

:headbang::w00t:And like Ian I nearly fell off my chair with laughter:laugh::laugh::laugh:

The Efest 20 Amp purple batts should be ok too, shouldn't they Bob. I've just had a look at Torchy's site and he has those in stock too.

So does this mean anything to you mate ?
Internal Resistance mΩ Actual Capacity(mAh) Length (mm) Diamater (mm) Weight (g)
Torchy 3100mAh flat top 25 3088 65.4 18.3 45
The internal resistance is 25 ?

Just caught your post before I logged off.

As far as I know, most Panny batts are about 10 Amps, they'll be fine as long as you don't push the limits. I wouldn't want to go to maximum watts on the IPV with one though just to be on the safe side. The purple efest batts that Torchy has would be better at 20 Amps, or the Sony VTC's at about 30 Amps better still. Hope that helps mate :)

Right, off to make some bubbles

Not sure about the 20A efests but the 35A Purples are only 20A continuous 35A pulse, so would expect those to be 10A continuous with 20A pulse, I usually google the battery name+review e.g: Purple Efest 20A review and see if anyone has done a test of them. These Battery markings really need to be regulated so that they show the Type of battery ICR (LiCo) the bad one, IMR (LiMn) or INR (Hybrid) the mAh & more importantly the C rating
