There is some sony 30 amp on e bay as well bob the vtc ones. what do you reckon ?

Sony VTC3 1600 VTC4 2100 VTC5 2600 NC1 3.7v 18650 Battery VW MOD iTaste MVP 134 | eBay

He has a good positive feedback, and the batteries are good as well, just been looking at the steam-engine site and to be honest unless you start going below 1 ohm coils then any decent battery will do, it's when you go below that problems might occur with low C rated batteries at higher wattages, e.g: for a 10A rated battery you can vape at 50w but only something higher than 0.5 ohm (not like my 0.26 build in my Doge) but at 20w you can go lower down to 0.2 ohm, for a 20A rated battery you could halve those resistance figures, but don't forget those are maximums, and you would be pushing the battery a lot.

My Doge build could put out 104w and still have room for more on a 30A battery, might get a bit warm, but would probably vent with a 20A one.

EDIT: just looked again and when you go to select anything he doesn't actually have any VTC batteries,
but as long as you build above 1 ohm then those 20A Efests that torchy has should be okay up to 100w

Right thanks very much for that bob, i will order a couple. :toast: I am not really in to subbing and my lowest build will be around the 1 ohm mark, especially in my kayfuns. Always nice to have the option of going lower with the trident if i choose to. :D

I wouldn't recommend the 20a purple e fests. They are actually only 6a ish or something. I'll find the link for you to read in a sec.

The 30a purple efests are ok as they are apparently just re wrapped vtc4s and last time I looked torchy had some. Myepack do as well i think.

I'd get tons of ear-ache if I didn't talk to her at some point during the day
You want to try making the right noises at the right time when you're trying to do or read something!

Ok, so you'll never be an F1 fan then  I don't just watch it for the racing though, I'm a bit of an F1 geek too. I love all the technical side just as much as the racing. Like I said, a lot of F1 innovations do filter down to our every day road cars :D
I like seeing the garage stuff, and some of the tech info is interesting too.

I remember a few years back, one of the drivers in one of the smaller teams was still working part time because the team he drove for couldn't afford to pay him a living wage. While at the same time Michael Schumacher was earning a million dollars per race
Doesn't seem fair when they can't totally concentrate on it for doing another job too! When Schumacher was racing, it was usually a foregone conclusion as to who would win! (See, I haven't been totally deaf to it all! ;))

If they'd have rung me about a Trojan on my computer, I would have put them on hold......for an hour
I was trying to get work finished in time so it just made me annoyed I have been known to string them along a bit and then suddenly ask "who did you say you are?" ..."oh, mine won't be Microsoft will it?" ....why? "I've got a Mac"

Well i got my new toys today :headbang::banana: After opening the package the first mod i went for was the i-stick, turned it on and it was fully charged. Put my kayfun with the coffee and cream in, set it @ 15w and had a blast :D I gotta say for such a small box it can certainly put the power out, notched it back down to 11w and it is bloody perfect for the 1.5 ohm coil.

Trish/Bob, thanks for recommending it, even with a 22 mm kayfun sitting on it there is only a touch of hang over on the edge, and i am well chuffed with it.:D
So glad you like it - all mine came fully charged. Try and check the charge level now and then and re-charge it when on the bottom black line ...they charge up a lot faster if they don't totally run out. If it does run out you'll see 'lock' - it doesn't need anything doing to it apart from re-charging it.
Nice things to use and I'm glad I have mine.

Okay on to the IPV, unpacked it and i thought, wow what a light mod, hardly any weight to it :) A quick look at the instructions on charging etc, set it up and put it on charge. 5 clicks to power it up and have a quick look at the screen etc. Nope, it wasn`t having any of it, so i walked away for an hour or so then went back to it. Nope still nowt
I was shouting 'get a battery' here!

Stood there scrattin me melon, then a light came on, the reason i thought it was so light in weight ??? No pigging battery in it. What a bloody swizz, 63 quid and you don`t even get a sodding battery with it. Sooo as i gave my 650`s to ian, i am stumped till i order some :( Ian flat top or nipple mate, before i get some ?
Terry you do surprise me! ...empty vessels are very light!

 I know mate, I know. Another one of them blonde moments :p:
What's that ...you're blonde? :2cool:

My cat is stoopid, try and show him things on the TV and he just looks the other way, totally uninterested in the Telly.
Obviously not the right programmes for his taste! :D

Wind up time, "Yes hold on, I'll just switch my computer on.......yes now what do i do.....no that didn't work can we try something else.....Oh hold on the computer just burst into flames.....can you repair it from there???"
I used to feel mean, but realised they deserve all the flack they get! :(

You Pair of expletives
Aren't they just!

Just checked he doesn't have them in stock but myepack do. The 2100 mah 30a ones.

As bob says those you've linked are only 20a continuous so depends on your build.

The world of 18650 batteries is getting pretty rubbish at the moment. Lots coming out where the pulse current limit is the more or only mentioned number.

Cheers, as i said earlier i won`t really be going below 1 ohm, so should be fine with them. :)

Indeed, i learned how to do that many moons ago

So not much difference then between 20 A and 35 A ?

Quite a difference really, those Purple Efests that are marked 35A are not 35A continuous only 20A this is where the marking is all going to ....., they are putting the Pulse Amperage on them instead of the Continuous Amperage, and it is confusing a lot of people.

With a 20A continuous battery @ 50W you can build down to 0.15 ohm but with a 30A it would be 0.07 ohm almost half the resistance again

BUT with those 20A marked Purple efests @ 50w you would not be able to use anything lower than about 1.5 ohm and even then they might get a bit warm.

Yes it can get a bit confusing, i got the 20 amp effests from torchy as i have used him for ages now, and as i say i won`t be going much lower than 1 ohm, and i certainly won`t be pushing the 50 w limit, so all should be good. :)

1 ohm don't go above 30w and at 1.4 ohm you can go as high as 50w if you wanted to with those batteries.

Brilliant bob, as i usually do my builds between 1~1.5 ohm. I was actually thinking about it earlier, and it makes sense that the higher resistance the coil is the higher you can go with the watts etc. Good looking mods what you are getting as well mate, must be costing a pretty penny.
