Cheers Terry. I'll get myself some of that soon :)

To be honest, i'm a bit daunted by the Aga... i just took it out of the packet to have a look at and all these tiny little nuts were falling out of it... i can roughly see where they are supposed to be, but it looks a really delicate steady-handed job to get it back together again! Seems a world away from the protanks and vivi novas where you do pretty much sod all.

I got a little direct dripping atomiser that i like though... so simple just dripping a couple of drops in for such a nice flavour and big vapour - I'm surpised these arent more popular with people new to vaping as they seem the simplest thing going and great for trying new flavours.

I'm enjoying the wait for my ba gua now... like being a kid at christmas again! :)

Did you manage to get your x9 tanks sorted or have you given up on them? I was reading that a few people drill out the airhole on the aga aswell, but some of those people cocked it up and broke the tank so there will be no meddling from me!

no i just binned the x9`s cody,

just to much faffing about.

Nope, no joking... i just noticed it on vapist last night and thought it looked a lot nicer in gold and as the price difference was £25 i went for it and it made it that bit more sweet that it was the last one :)

I think i spent a bit much on the charger though... £35 but i think its a safe bet and i have a feeling i might be getting a few batteries for more mods soon too ;)

That's one sexy looking mod mate, well done getting the last one. You'll have to wear cotton gloves when you use it - no fingerprints allowed

I guess the good thing about fast tech is that it doesnt hurt too much to bin stuff :)

It's going to be a 100% 'at home' mod. The evic is getting demoted to my out and about vape, and I'm going to stick one of the vgos in my car with a megacart filled up in case of emergency!

Vape Escape was actually closed today when i arrived :( and there was a sign above the shop saying that it was to let?? Anyway, i did as you suggested and popped round to Liberty Flights... really nice friendly staff there and took the time (20 mins or so) to go through the bits that i wanted and even gave up the sale of a battery and charger as they werent 100% sure on whether an 18500 battery would be ok, when it should be 18490.

It's not sounding like goobledygook any more so that's progress for me! I'll order that wire terry pointed me towards and some ekowool either tonight or tomorrow and hopefully i can then have a good crack at getting at least one coil sorted before the end of the week.

Does this look ok as a multimeter or am i better off going for something more expensive?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/DT830B-Digi...F8&qid=1380141195&sr=8-15&keywords=multimeter

I have got absolutely no clue how to use these things so if some of the more expensive ones make it easier then i dont mind paying up to £20.

And a big thank you to you and Terry for all the invaluable advice you have given :)

no problem cody, If you get stuck just give us a shout. Have you got a vamo ??? thats all i use for checking resistance mate.

oh, and by the way Ian, you were right about the carto tank needing time to settle in... after a couple of refills it is now vaping like a dream, although I'm sure its going to be better on a mech as i feel the need to take longer puffs than the 10 second limit on the evic and the carto tank is the only atty / carto / tank ive used so far that i enjoy when dialling up the voltage.

No vamo, but i have got my trusty evic, which seems very accurate with it's readings. I cant remember what the reason was now, but i'm sure someone told me something that made getting a multimeter seem like a good idea.

Just stick with it mate, it will be worth it. I left mine in the box for a month before I started playing with it. First couple of coils were rubbish, but after that they got better and better.

That multimeter will be fine. The one I use cost me about a tenner from a car spares shop, you don't need anything too fancy. You will need to zero the ohm range before you use it though. Some meters have a zeroing in switch, mine doesn't. All I do with mine is set it to ohms on the dial switch, touch the two probes together - I usually get a reading of 0.5-0.6 - so when I check a coil if it comes out at 3.3 ohms I need to deduct 0.5 ohms off. So I get a 2.8 ohm coil.

If the multimeter has a zeroing function that's easier still. There's a few vids out there on checking coils with a multimeter. :)

I know which shop you went to Cody, that's their old shop that's to let. The new one is further down the road, heading towards Rochdale. It's on the corner of Green Lane at the traffic lights, just after the car wash place. I made the same mistake the first time I went there

Glad you got the carto tank sorted.

With the multimeter you can check your batteries too (essential with a mech mod), plus check voltage drop (if you sand down battery contacts on a mod). Plus you can use it to check car electrics and batteries too - well worth buying.

I was just checking out a picture guide on the TW forum... seems straightforward enough :) It's about time TW did something useful for me, the Tornado RCS i bought is not good to say the least. Firstly, the tank kept gurgling and flooding. As it was my first tank, i thought it was my fault... it wasnt, my other tanks dont do this. Next thing i noticed was that the tank was hazing over, then a tiny crack appeared. I'm presuming it's a PC tank, but i bought citrus-type liquids with it and nobody warned me.

Then there is the actual device - it fits my vivi nova ok, but i cant get the battery point to touch because the tube comes up to far and restricts what tanks you can put on it. Then there is the problem that it is supposed to be VV (regulated 3.3 and unregulated 4.2) I really cant tell the difference and it seems to fade whichever setting it's on. I first thought that there maybe wasnt much difference between 3.3 and 4.2 until i bought the evic. I know a lot of ppl rate TW highly, but their prices are a bit steep and i wouldnt want to spend on another of their own brand devices.

D'oh!! perhaps its a good thing... i could well have ended up buying a ba gua and a provari in one morning and that's just daft!

That's why i got the best charger i could find... it tells you how many volts in each battery on a little led screen

Ordered the starter pack of wire and wick from the site terry posted so it will give me a bit of a chance to see the differences and see whats good and whats not :)

Hopefully, my vape escape order will be here tomorrow and then maybe the wire and wick on saturday so i can have a crack at building a coil. Ba gua arrived today and looks amazing... its so tiny & light compared to my evic, cant wait to get the battery now so i can give it a whirl

I'm about to order from them tomorrow since they just got EVOD's in for under 4$

I have heard good things and cant beat free shipping internationally

They don't sell the Evod's they sell a clone of the Evod. They don't sell the Joytech C-twist but they sure make it look as if they do. They do sell the Kanger Protank coils, but you can get them cheaper in the USA. They should just be honest and say they are clones.

Sounds like a pretty funky charger mate.

A multimeter is still a good idea though for coil building, you can use it to check the coil before mounting on your atty. That way if the resistance is out, it's easier to add a coil wrap or take one off - without having to take it off the atty each time
