I've got a small order still outstanding for juices. Ordered almost a month ago, still no sign of it yet.

I'm not too worried though, it's only for about $15 worth. I'll give it another couple of weeks, then get onto FT.

I'm still waiting for mine too. Ordered on the 13th i think and so far i havent been able to track it at all - seems like the code they gave me just doesnt work. Anyway, its only £10 of liquid so it's no big deal if i dont get it. If i reach a month with no updates though then i'll at least ask if they know the score. To fast tech's credit i like that they take a photo of your shipment showing your address on it.

Well how about an update, not done one for a while. Ahem, here goes :

1). Ordered 3 RSST's from a co-op buy on here - they're now in the post.

2). Paid for 3 new kayfun clone attys (1 silver, 1 red, 1 blue) from another co-op on here.

3). Got my rebate points with FT converted to a gift certificate of $11.03 - so used it to order the new Astro mod from them. With the gift certificate knocked off it's only costing me £8.31. It was a toss up between the Astro and the Nemesis, but the Astro was in stock so went for that :D

Have you used the Kayfun clones before? how do they compare to the real thing?

I'm going to get a KFL at some point... anyone who has used them seems to recommend them, so as long as i get on alright with my coil wrapping for the aga I'll get one before the end of the year :)

I've not used the clones before mate, but I've seen some good reviews for both the RSST's and the Arrow (kayfun clone). The aga is a lot easier to build the coil for (novas are easier still). The KFL does need a perfect coil to work right though. The gap between the coil and the airhole has to be just right and you have to be careful the coil wires don't touch the chimney section of the atty. Once you've mastered the aga, you should be fine coiling anything else though Cody :D

Just had a confirmation that my Astro has shipped already. That's really quick for FT, 6 hours from ordering to shipping

6 hours!! You should have it on your doorstep by Monday :p

I think my wire and wick should be here tomorrow, so that will be most of my saturday sorted! Battery arrived today, so i popped it in the ba gua to give it a try - had to play around with the firing pin a little to get it working and to reduce any battery rattle. feels so small after using the evic! feels really solid with the lock on too, and the workmanship on it is fantastic - nicest threads i have seen on anything.

It seemed to take half a dozen puffs or so to get warmed up then went great guns :) I tried it with the carto tank, but that was a bit of a pain because when i came to take it off, the bloody carto kept trying to stay put whilst the tank was coming off! sorted it eventually and then tried the DDA and that worked a treat. I think i am going to really enjoy it and once i start making my own coils i hope to use something like 1.2 - 1.6ohms. i dont want to go lower than that - i know it can produce more vapour, etc, but i dont want to stress the batteries and risk problems - maybe in 6 months time or something, but i am more than happy for now :)

That's one thing I've found with the higher end mods - more features, so they're not an out of the box use. You have to play around with them to get everything set right, but I love tinkering so it's all good.

I've never vaped anything below 1 ohm myself, to be honest I don't see the point. I get plumes of vapour, great taste and throat hit from coils over 1 ohm. If you make your coil right and set it up correctly, there's no need to act like a smoke machine ;) I can get just as much vape satisfaction from my Vmod using 2 ohm attys as my KFL using a 1.2 ohm coil.

Have fun with the coil building mate, are you gonna use a drill bit or a toothpick for your builds or coil straight onto the wick (using a needle for support) ??

I've only really looked at videos for building coils for the aga so far, and it looks like using a needle for support is the easiest method. I've pinched my dad's gerber multi-tool and got myself a mini screwdriver set so hopefully i'll have everything i need, although i could really do with one of these....

Haha! ;)

I bet you get more satisfaction vaping when it's from a coil you built yourself too.

Earlier on i was looking on the new members forum and some guy from the UK had a AW IMR battery blow up in his bag. You've got to be so careful with these things! I tried to read up as much as i could so my batteries will only ever be in one of 3 places...

In the device when i am using it (if its an evic or something with short circuit protection then they stay in there and get charged in there)
In the charger - the one i got has short protection and shows the Volts so i should be covered for not letting them overcharge / discharge
In a plastic case - to be honest i havent been storing my batteries in a plastic case so far, but after reading that i will. I've ordered some panasonic 18650s from amazon (as they are exactly the same and half the price of totally wicked!) and they come with a little plastic case too.

I've got a safe charging bag aswell, just to be sure... it was only £5 and i figure better safe than sorry where batts are concerned :)

LOL As long as you don`t get the ones from f/t mate, THEY are crap.

I got my ekowool through the post today, bloody hell the 3 mm is thick; more like 5 mm. I like to double my wicks into a loop for my drippers, no chance with this.

So i just did a single strand, with 5 wraps of .5 ribbon; and it gives a really nice clean vape. One thing i have noticed with the drippers, when you build a new coil is that; the vape is a bit harsh until you have run a few mil through them. so i reckon in about an hours time i wil be experiencing a lucious vape of liqua apple, or tirimasu. Or both.

LOL, no mate i got some for building coils, and they are useless.

You have to hold whatever you are looking at (right up to) the glass to get any magnification, which means it would be nigh on impossible; to build a coil.

I think i will pass them up this time then! My eyesight is ok though, it's my sausage fingers that are gonna be the problem ;)

Anyhow, I'm off to watch a bit of crap TV and hopefully building coils tomorrow! If i dont speak to you before, then have a good weekend mate :)

Oh lisa,

where art thou ?

One is lonesome

Sorry, Terry - I was exceptionally busy at work, today. Many new tasks have been assigned and not the kind that others spend weeks doing that I can knock out in a day :p I am glad to have the work and be at a desk instead of at the front for 9 hours a day, dealing with patrons that everyone runs from :X

I do come by and catch up when I am able, but for the last few days I haven't been commenting much as I am still waiting on FT orders to come in, rotating my earlier FT purchases. and testing the bunch out =] I did find that my newly purchased FT Sentinel had an issue with the center pin that threads into atty :'( I had a Boge carto tank on it and noticed that it was crooked at one point. Ah well, the center pin moves about :'( I think I'll Gorilla Glue it tomorrow - once I have it in the exact position that I want it, of course :p

The coil does seem to taste a little better when you've built it yourself ;)

Decided to watch a film last night, that's why I went off early. Zero Dark Thirty, about the search for Bin Laden. Not a bad film.

With batteries as long as you don't carry them around in your pocket with anything metallic (coins, keys etc) you'll be fine. The plastic cases are a good idea. Once I've charged mine, I let them stand for an hour or so and put them back in the cases until I need them. As long as you're careful you should be fine. Don't leave them in a hot car either. Most problems are caused by user error.

Yep the ekowool does expand a lot mate. To be honest, I've not used the 3mm yet because of this - mainly the 1 and 2mm.

It will be a while before I get them mate, all the money for the co-op hasn't been collected yet. So it will probably be a month or so before they get to me.

Leave it with me though Terry, I should be able to sort one out for you. Not sure on price yet, cos the postage charge hasn't been finalised yet. I'll let you know though mate. If you want to have a look at the reviews, it's called the Rocket.

I went to the mailbox yesterday after work and saw a large package! Excitement thinking that it was FASTTECH! Unfortunately it was Wizard Labs nicotine and flavoring LOL

In addition, I received another email stating ANOTHER order would be split, so that makes 6 orders floating around. Oh well, by the time they come it'll be a magnificent surprise :p Luckily, I told my friend that her eGos would be coming from China, so they'd be taking awhile!
