The 5 Protanks broken in shipment - I was given a replacement of 4 Protanks added to my next order. Fair trade since I had one in good shape and I keep all of the parts. Someone else posted that their package had been returned to fasttech according to the Hong Kong Post and then it went to sorted through facility... Maybe they are greasing someone hands to get things through, I don't know. I've got juice heading towards Hong Kong or already there, we'll just wait and see what happens.

I want what I ordered to arrive safely and then I'll be relaxing with my MVP2 and perfecting my coil building. I did a twisted wire coil before work today, but it read as a short. it may be low oHm, but I have no way of knowing.

What do you think about using this as a coil :p

Looks like your coil building is getting better Lisa, with the help of your coil building rig. Have you not got any regulated mods that can tell you the resistance. My SVD or Vamo will still tell me if I build a coil less than 1.2 ohms, they just won't fire a coil that low. If I get a maximum reading of 9.9 ohms on the Vamo or SVD - then I know that's a short.

I reckon you should buy some of those ebay coils  might need a car battery to fire them up though

The rig certainly helps... I like to use my eVic to check my coil oHm =] That's all I do with her :'( So, you all think the ebay coils have no resistance? I've found a little bag of them on Amazon - I'll check them out =]

Remember Lisa, no pictures of the ebay coils vaping means it didn't happen :p

GOOD NEWS The Provari has finally landed in the UK  It's been all around the world

Hopefully, I should have it in my sweaty hands very soon.

Going by the posts, on fasttech deliveries, it might be best, if Father Christmas delivers it, along with the kids pressies.

Ah but which Christmas, this one or 2014

Seriously though, I think my next order from FT will only be a small one, until they get the issues sorted out.

Glad to know it's arrived! I hope it was the shipping company that sent it around the world and not the address I put XD I will CERTAINLY see what happens with these little crimp fasteners =] I have a co-worker that does some beading and she uses them, so if they are worthless to me, I'll give them to her.

I've got to find a good topper for my MVP and then I'll be done. At home I'm rotating my eGos with CE4s and a couple of stronger mods, including the MVP2, for my hardier toppers. The problem is, everything is so huge on the MVP that it takes away from the 'stealth' aspect of it :/

I've got $15.99 ATTY Clear Tank Rebuildable Atomizer Set (2.5mL) - 1*airhole / 1.0 and https://www.fasttech.com/products/1494700 on the way from Fasttech, but I have no idea what the PMMA is... and do you notice they come right out and say Kayfun v3.1? Out the side door again? :p

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1494700
PACKAGE CONTENTS 1*Kayfun v3.1 ES Styled RBA
MATERIAL Stainless Steel + PMMA

'PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) isa versatile polymeric material that is well suited
for many imaging and non-imaging microelectronic applications. PMMA is most
commonly used as a high resolution positive resist for direct write e-beam as well as
x-ray and deep UV microlithographic processes. PMMA is also used as a protective
coating for wafer thinning, as a bonding adhesive and as a sacrificial layer.'

BUT can it hold harsh juices?

I can't believe that the real thing is made from Makrolon® (Polycarbonate) :/

I think it's USPS that made the boo-boo :( On the PM you sent me, the address was 100% correct, so it has to be down to USPS.

PMMA won't stand up to tank crackers Lisa, it will last a bit longer than the usual plastics, but will eventually crack. The genuine Kayfun Lite that I have comes with a metal sleeve as well as the plastic one, so tank crackers can be used in it - it's a bit more expensive than the FT offering though. Also the aga t2 has a glass tank.

If you want something similar to the Kayfun, the Russian and Russian 91% come with the metal tank too. Another option is the new Aspire bottom coil tank, some of them come with a glass tank.

So there's a few different options for you

Well more bad luck for me today  I had to fit a new light fitting in the bathroom today, Had all my tools alongside my private v2 on the landing window cill.

I got down from the stepladder to get a little screwdriver, Knocked over the mod; which fell onto the floor. So i picked it up and had a vape no problem. continued what i was doing, It was only when i had packed up and went downstairs that i noticed the mod was rattling.

So i tightened everything down thinking it had just come loose cos of the knock it had taken, And noticed my V5 was loose, tried to tighten it and...nothing. Threads are shot on the private, bleeding gutted.:grr:

Fasttech says it has a 'Removable PMMA ring', so I don't have to use it =] I just asked Fasttech to start carrying spare parts like knurled nuts, screws, and anything else we'd be losing out of these toppers... I took a screw from one topper for my AGA T2 and it's too large :/ I put the loose one at the bottom and the tighter one at the top, but I REALLY need some of those screws and nuts... they fall into the carpet and my eyesight is so bad I will never find them :/

The pin is loose? Can it be glued back into place?

You're not having much luck with threads mate :( Are you gonna get the coil wire out again to fix it ??

The PMMA is removable, meaning you can swap it out for another PMMA ring or a metal ring (like the original one has). But you won't be able to use the tank without the PMMA ring or a metal ring because the chimney section inside the tank wouldn't fit inside. So the tank would be too short without the PMMA ring. Hope that makes sense.

The Aspire glassomizers that I mentioned are pretty cheap Lisa, their selling them for about £9 here in the UK, so they should be about $15 in the USA, have a look at the reviews on you-tube by Phil he really rates them :)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Okay, I understand! It's removable, but it is an essential piece :'( Sux... Yes, the Aspires have been getting CRAZY MAGNIFICENT REVIEWS in the Old Folks thread. They are always ranting about the Aspires....

Aspires look like Vivi Novas to me and all Vivi Novas have leaked on me EXCEPT the free Vivi Nova tanks I get from HealthCabin :p Those are actually magnificent =] Anyway, I don't like the way they look... like cheap Vivi Novas :/

No it`s not the pin Ian that is fine,

I think when it hit the floor it must have landed on the V5 knocking it scew, and damaged the threads of the private. No i won`t bother trying to fix it up mate, It is just too much faffing about eg when i want to clean the top cap etc.

Looking at it i think the threading maybe aluminium ( same as the sentinel ) and therefore crap

The Aspire's come in other styles too, there's some that are similar to the Evod, plus I think there's a larger one like the Davide (not sure if it's glass though).

Nothing wrong with novas, I still use mine with a nice cotton wick. They are the genuine Vision branded ones though, I had loads of leaks with the Smok novas I got at first.
