Claire,

You need to get your signiture sorted, (so people know whatcha got) and an avatar as well. You will truely part of our gang then :toast:

Ahhh, you wanting to take a peek into what people have, do you? XD Does that mean she lists what she LIKES the best or EVERYTHING :p Because you know, some people have way too much gear laying around :p

I saw this posted in another thread, but since Burnie and I both have this setup I wanted to make sure everyone saw the potential =]

smok epipe clone, Protank 2 clone and BDS60 tip clone, all from FT. Took a few hours and a lot of sand paper. Sanded both the tank and the pipe down to bare brass and polished them up, leaving some chrome parts for accents.

Cant wait for the patina to set in on the brass.

HOW GORGEOUS IS THAT?!?!?!?!??! Will I sand my own? I dunno, but I think the time would be well spent! The Protank looks GORGEOUS on it! Definitely putting a Protank on it when I get home, but my stupid driptip is still sitting without movement :/

They must be getting hit hard or something... 2 packages shipped and no movement while 3 others are still at 'Order Received'... only one item is waiting for restocking, so I have no idea why they haven't been packaged in over a week.

C`mon Ian,

How long does it take you to make a bloody coil ???

God your worse than the Wife for nagging :p

To be honest mate, it's not good news.

Did a lovely micro-coil with cotton and spent a fair bit of time doing it. The standard coil screws are really fiddly, cos their tiny - I used some with a slightly larger head instead. Set it all up and filled it, opened the air screw fully and took a vape. First couple of draws lovely, great flavour and reasonable vapour, but a bit too airy. Tightened up the air a bit and noticed some leakage there, then some leakage at the fill screw, then some leakage at 2 of the tank joints. Two more draws, better this time with the airflow adjusted. Then a mouthful of liquid and it virtually emptied through the leaking areas.

Not happy with it mate, it's in the sink now. The new seals that are coming should improve things, but won't stop the fill screw and air hole leaks. I didn't even use the fill hole to fill it and the fill screw was nipped up tight.

So I've shelved it for now.

Cos it's a crap review, do I not get to know the secret now

Well that is a shame mate, not sure if i am looking forward to it as much now :p

I think out of all the reviews of it on F/T there is only a coule of negatives, so i dunno i will just have to wait and see. Are the ones you got made by the same company as the fasttech one`s mate ?

Well, this AM I pulled the trigger on an EVOD and some eGo blister packs for PIFing smokers I come across... more admit smoking once they know you've smoked and vape. I caught sight of a Phoenix atty and was about to buy it, but I THOUGHT it was a Vision Eternity, which I adore. I left it since it wasn't what I'd thought it was =]

That got me started searching for something that looked like the Vision Eternity but had a larger juice capacity =]

and then...

I went back to see what I had on order from FastTech...

Bliss Genesis Style Rebuildable Atomizer Kit (2.0mL) - glass tank / stainless steel
Oddy Rebuildable Atomizer w/ Stainless Steel Tank - 2.6ohm
Fogger V2 RBA Rebuildable Atomizer (6.0mL) - glass tank
AGA-T2 Genesis Style Rebuildable Atomizer (3.2mL)
ATTY Clear Tank Rebuildable Atomizer Set (2.5mL) - 1*airhole / 1.0

I think I'm good for toppers

Oh god, not looking forward to mine arriving now :(
What are the new seals you've got on the way? I'll order some myself in preparation.

Oh - Terry very nicely sold me his K100 so I'm the proud owner of a mech - they are, come out the cold now :)

And thanks again Terry, super chuffed with it I am :D

Just need to figure my Aga T2 out now - gonna have a go at rip trippers micro coil and cotton auto dripper technique.

If you hear a lot of swearing it's coming from me in Devon cos I'm messing coils up lol!

Cheers Terry, may have to do it tomorrow evening when kids are in bed so I've no interruptions - I'd have a go now but dropped my sleepers already and would wake up with a coil stuck to my cheek or something!

Yeah but I had to move everything up a line to fit it all in

The pipe does look really good Lisa, when it's got a bit of age on it, it will look amazing. Brass is the only metal I know that looks better with a bit of ageing :D

I love the vertical coil set-up to be honest, in an aga or an RSST - especially a cotton vertical wick.

They are the same Rockets from FT Terry & Claire. I got mine in a co-op buy on here though. The O-rings I've got coming are the red ones, they should have been installed at production but they put the thin white ones in by accident. This should improve the leaking at the tank seals.

I may have to fully strip the base down to find out what's going wrong. I can easily sort out the filling hole leak, just by blocking it off. The air-hole leak might be a bit harder to sort out though, but I won't be beaten by it. You know me Terry, all the hassle I had with the ithaka, I got it working great in the end

Another piece of advice, if you use the tiny standard coil screws, make sure you have a magnetic screwdriver, cos if the screws come out of their holes there's not a cat in hells chance of getting them back in by hand. You do get quite a few spares with the Rocket though. I guess I was hoping it would be as good out of the box as my KFL.

Don't worry though, the bugger won't beat me ;)

Is that the one with the knackered threads, that kept on shorting out batteries

Don't worry, just kidding. The k100 is a great mod to start with. If I remember correctly Terry sanded down the contacts on it too - makes a big difference.

If you get the aga sussed out, can you give Cody a few pointers

I have got every faith in you Ian,

Maybe it is something as simple as the seals though, cos if one or two are leaking surely it will cause problems with all the tank, ie juice going to where it shoudn`t go
