Ian - i have just noticed that you have a kayfun V3.1 AND a Taifun in the post, is the kayfun a clone? and if not your other half must be either very tolerant or kept somewhat in the dark as regards the price of these items :p

The kayfun 3.1 is the FT cheapy clone, but my Kayfun Lite is the real deal. The Taifun is a genuine one too.

The Missus doesn't have a clue what I spend, the credit card is in my name and the bill is on-line only ;) I tell her about the $20 FT orders, but that's it.

I've still saved money over my spending on ciggies. As my Dad used to say "what the Wife doesn't know about, can't be used against you in the divorce court"

You should still get the Fogger mate, my order said 10 days, but it was at the packaging stage within about 6 days. Just waiting for the Kayfun to finish off the package now
:rickroll:  :D thats funny Ian, it was either the i atty or the brass nemi said ships in 5 days, yet the full order shipped in 1 day:p

Even if I mess up a coil, I reuse the wire, Luv. As long as it's not crimped you can recoil it. And our AGA, she's a moody old girl, but when she's firing right, she's lovely =] I use a bit heavier wire on her and just replace the wick, the coil stays in shape so I don't have to recoil for her each time. Some mechs won't fire her up properly, so I keep her on a kicked Poldiac now, any lower hitting mech and the vape is weak. I think my K101 hits much harder than my other mechs, so I will test her today on the K101 unkicked.

EDIT: Yes, AGA T2's got a lovely vape on the K101. I'm glad you mentioned it, I've been using her with a kicked mech because I can't get her to fire up on a VV/VW and heat her up properly =]
Cheers Lisa, that's good to know, got lots of duff coils to play with now! I'm waiting on Torchy batts for the mech as the ones I've got are crud and some 30ga wire as i only had 32, so grabbed my old vamo off my Mam as she doesn't use and was vaping lush.

Did u try the aga with the Pre-made FT coils Lisa? I had a go with one, but the resistance was too high so i need to unwrap a couple of coils on it and try again. Getting the wire trapped under the nuts drives me crazy though!
What's doing my nut in is the deck moving when I take the cap off, having to wrap a new coil everytime I fill it up :(
The other half is a mechanical design engineer, told him to find me a fix.
While you are having a little looky claire,

Check out the I ATTY as well they have got some rave reviews. I`m going to get one later, just in case the rocket is crap.:)
Will do Terry, was gonna ask for people's opinions on other FT RBA's - got the bug lol.
Most of us provari lovers see it as a bit of a joke and a wind-up really, but yep there are some people who take it very seriously indeed and there are also provari haters who take their hate very seriously indeed. It serves to amuse me though, which is the main thing!

Speaking of getting coils sussed, thanks to Lisa mentioning that she thought the inferior silica and thinner wire on the FT pre-made coils were the reason she didnt bother with them on the aga, i gave it another go tonight using 3mm ekowool and thicker wire... not sure what gauge it was but it said 0.4 on the ream, stuck it on the trident platform to test for resistance and came out at 2.2 (not bad - i was looking for anything between 1.5 - 2.5) then gave it a bash on the trident. It tasted a little funny at first, but i think thats because i neither scorched it beforehand and nor did i pulse it.Anyhow, the flavour improved after a little while and it's pretty much the best flavour i have got out of these kinds of tanks (certainly better than protanks & vivis too).

It's been on and vaped for a few hours now and still registering as 2.2ohms despite getting scrunched up a bit in there so its another step in the right direction :)
The flavour is sooo much better ain't it? Worth all the messing IMO.

Do you actually wrap the tails around a screw, so not just trying to trap a bit of the wire, but say wrapping it right around the screw before you tighten down? I was thinking of trying that but thought it might cause a hotspot.
I wrap it around it like a U shape and screw right down.

I want one. And enough stuff to fill it!

Hahaha, I always knock whatever I've spent on FT or any vape gear for that matter to about half - when he has a whinge I tell him I'll just start smoking again then ey? An he shuts up.

Yay! Trident back in stock on FT, me gonna grab that and one of those I ATTY's I think.
Might grab some plastic drip tips too, I've only got metal and they're bloody cold on my lips now when out and about!

claire, get prepared to be blown away The trident really is a beast of a dripper; i use mine in the evening whilst relaxing with a cold one.

3mm ekowool, 5 wraps of .5 ribbon wire gives around 1.5 ohms And some lovely juicy clouds.:toast:

I've been curious about ekowool for a while, just cos I think it's probably less of a fiddle than cotton balls, I do like the clean taste cotton gives though - I'll get some and compare.
My 30ga kanthal came this morning, I can't get over how much easier it is to work with! I also discovered couple high drain 18350's in my vape kit so am happily chuffing away on k100 with the aga at 1.2 ohms :)

My third order which was placed on the 11th has already been accepted at sing post, I am really pleased that F/T have gone back to using this shipping company.:)
Hurrah!

I havent tried cotton yet but the ekowool is a lot better than silica IMO. Terry is right about the trident, it gives a lovely vape, but you will need a new drip tip for it... the one it comes with is a big wide heavy monster - i tried a couple of puffs with it and replaced it. It actually looks ok, just too wide for my liking.

Ah, was gonna chuck some drip tips in anyway, hopefully they'll fit it. Just waiting on dd going out tomoz so I know how much I can give to FT lol.
Where do you get your ekowool from Codz and Terry? I'll give it a try, the cotton balls ain't bad Codz, just a bit fiddly to get through the coil but after a bit you get it right 1st go.
Have any of you tried alchemist cupboard for juice? I've got 5 10ml bottles on order from there, wanted to try vapists but my iPad played up when I tried to purchase, had a look at GG and couldn't see anything but the apple and pear torte that grabbed my fancy, was thinking of getting a few TH to make me feel better about the postage but wanted to try something different.

Claire, try putting a bit of ejuice on the seals before you put the top cap back on it, makes it easier to remove when you need to fill it.

Terry recommends the iAtty, I'd also recommend the Fogger.

The Wife hardly asks the price of stuff these days, as long as I pay for the mortgage each month, that's all she's worried about. Don't think I'd get away with "sorry love, I can't do the mortgage this month, I've seen 2 chi-you's, a Paps X and a new Provari that I must buy instead"

They just need to get the tracking page sorted on Sing Post now mate. The number of times I have to refresh the page is a joke.

Ekowool is a 100% better than silica mate (you just need to torch the ends so it doesn't fray). But I reckon cotton is 100% better than ekowool.

I did a side by side comparison when I first got the ekowool in. Re-wicked 3 novas with silica, eko and cotton. All at 1.7 ohms using 30g kanthal. The cotton wick won hands down. The way I see it, silica is fish and chips, eko is a fine 3 course meal and cotton is the full monty at a Michelin star restaurant that you have to book 3 months in advance

I got my ekowool as part of a special bundle pack for a tenner from here (recommended by terry)

The Mesh Company (Warrington) Ltd Single Spiral (Metal Mesh Curtain) Coloured Wire

I also got 5 10ml bottles from alchemists cupboard last week so they are still steeping at the moment, but i have had a quick try of them...

Egg custard tart - seems nice, i can definitely taste custard in there but needs longer to steep
Treacle tart - cant tell yet
Santas Xmas cake - cant tell yet
Sherbert Lemon - Nice, fizzy and fresh tasting, just what you would expect from sherbert lemon and i am gonna try mixing it with a bit of mentholyptus concentrate & honey.
Chocolate Limes - Excellent, really enjoying this one. The Lime isnt too strong and the chocolate is a nice smooth milk chocolate flavour. You get a nice burst of lime with the Throat hit, and the smooth chocolate taste on the exhale

I'll have to get myself some of that organic cotton stuff from boots. Someone (could well have been you!) said it's the best stuff to use and one bag for about £4 will last you forever.
