Actually, i think i'd enjoy that... might have to give it a whirl once i have got through the vast supply i have amassed recently. I keep thinking i should try a tobacco juice as i know some must be good. I've only tried one and it was a really basic dekang one plus it was in an awful tank i got from totally wicked ages ago so its worth a try :)
It is nice! I also like a couple form LT - the Kent is a nice caramel/honey taste, and one called Nangka too.

Anyway, 'nite :)

Yes, most things seem more complex at first! I hate getting to know something different! :D

Thanks Cody - I understand now on the buttons :)
I'll leave the wattage at 8 where it was? ...and then look at the voltage if necessary. Is it hit and miss whether it'll need more than 3.7v, or less?
The coil in my Genuine Kanger is as it should be: 2.2 according to the MVP, but the one I have the Fluffy Nut in shows 2.7! It's not a stamped 'Kanger' one though, and has a shorter stem coil in it than those in the genuine stamped ones.
Perhaps I'd be better off changing the coil in unstamped ones to the branded coils? I have mostly 2.2, but a few 1.8 too.

There was a Kanger Unitank supplied with the MVP and I'll use that soon.

In general trish the higher resistance the coil is, you will have to inrease the output on your device. If you don`t mind reading back a few pages, Ian posted a chart which gives guide lines. It is also on the forum somewhere if you search for say - conversion chart.

I found this that Terry posted:

The MVP2 is a great one to get going with Trisha, people rave about that one. I'd recommend using the wattage setting on it. Basically you can put a 1.8 ohm atty on it or a 3.0 ohm atty on it and the MVP will automatically adjust the power so you get a consistent vape. So if you set it to 6 watts, you'll get a 6 watt vape no matter what atty you put on it - hope that makes sense.

That suggests that the wattage is the easiest to use?

@pictor, which one did you get Trish, I recently got the wood effect Energy Light one, and have to admit it is a very good little mod, I usually find that setting the Wattage to somewhere between 6 and 8 gives the best vape for normal atties, although I sometime bump it up to 9, it also does depend a lot on the type of juice you use as well, I prefer lower watts with plain clear fruit juices and higher for the thicker darker ones. Nice to see you getting away from the eGo type batteries, stay with us and we'll soon have you onto the bigger mods

Smart looking piece that bob :D Is that the second hand one you got ??

Yes, that's it, and a lovely vape from it as well.

Trish - the grandmas cinnamon Danish and snickerdoodle are both from Nicoticket, so they won't be high VG, sorry.

Terry - fat on meat, yuck. If I have bacon, it's literally cremated. There's black smoke in the kitchen and the smoke alarm goes off. It's that burnt, you touch it with a knife and it crumbles

Bob - lovely mod mate, hope you enjoy using it.

Couldn't leave it alone yesterday, went through 2 sets of batteries

Those billet boxes are niiiice - did you have to wait a while to get yours, ive heard they are hard to get? I was looking at one a while back, but got put off because of the need to stack batts in them (plus i dont use my current mech much, so no need to get another)

A couple of days, it is 2nd hand from a member on AAEC, so I got a few odds and ends thrown in like the billet bridge, Aspire heads, cartos, a couple of extra tanks and 4 batteries, so it was good to go straight away, took a few minutes to work out how to use the billet bridge, didn't think of looking to see if there was a video, but I did it exactly the same :), also had slight problem in that after chugging away for 30 minutes it suddenly stopped, couldn't work out what the problem was, took it all apart, cleaned all contacts made sure everything ok, put it all back together, nothing. Now before I used it I had checked the 4 batteries, 2 needed charging the other 2 had 4.15v on them, you can guess what I did, idiot had put the wrong set in.

EDIT: It's not exactly a Mech mod as it has VV

If my speiling is terable today, it's cos I can't sea straight

Could really do with an afternoon nap after today.

Trisha, just leave the MVP in wattage mode, that's what I do with my Vamo and the SVD. As others have said, you should be ok around the 8 watts mark. But I do find some juices I need to go down to 6 or 7 watts, while others can cope with 9 watts or more. Bob is right you just need to play around and see what works best. Maybe start at 6 watts with a juice and slowly increase the wattage until you start to get a burnt taste, then decrease it a little to find the sweet spot.

Terry, I love corned beef hash, without the corned beef  My Dad used to make 2 batches at a time, one without corned dog but with onions - another with corned dog but without onions. I ate the one with onions, my Dad ate the one with corned beef - everyone was happy :D

I've just been watching a vid from Riptrippers on doing a Tricro coil, that's one I'm gonna try next. He built it for a dripper, but I think I might try it in a Kayfun see what happens. It's basically a triple coil. Two nano coils linked up with a central micro coil in the middle. The wick goes through the two nano coils and then wraps around the outside of the micro coil. His was running at about 1.7 ohms, but the vapour and flavour was even more than my super duper dual nano coils. Imagine a disco smoke machine and you'll get the idea

I'm gonna try one of these, when I can see properly again

It's a black MVP 2 and came with a Kanger Unitank.
No way though will you get me using anything bigger :D ...this is more than big enough for me, and I do have some difficulty holding/using it. It's a bit awkward pressing the button and it's also quite heavy ...and I don't have tiny hands either! But, I do have arthritis in my thumb and wrist joints ...had it since my 30's, and that can be a bit restrictive for holding onto anything requiring grip or pressure.
It seems to be working fine for me though! :)

It was the wattage button that I last looked at, so no doubt that's what setting it's using:8.
I haven't used the tank that was reading 2.7ohms since getting that unpleasant taste, and only used an Evod with 2.2 on it. I have a few with different flavours in them so changed them over to see, and they all taste excellent, so if I stay away from the one(s) with 2.7ohms, I should be fine leaving it as it is :)

I like the MVP - a lot less attention needed as far as charging is concerned! It is a bit clumsy/heavy though, but I'll get used to it for everyday desk use :)

I've been using a glass Evod today - seems to easily change from one flavour to another after short use, so it's been nice to try a few different ones!
I notice that the glass Evods have a 1.6ohm dual coil in them (2 tufts of thread on each side?) - why is that, and can I just use a single coil when it needs changing?

I like black mods, but have enough for now, mine came with a matching iClear 16b, arthritis is not nice especially in the hands, I've got a touch of osteoarthritis in the hips.

Not saying it will work for you, but try holding it between thumb and forefinger, with either on button.

You'll soon get used to the size and weight Trisha. I was the same when I first got my Vamo, I was like, God it's huge. But after a short time you forget about it and just appreciate the quality of the vape and the battery life.

As long as the coil heads look the same (same threading, height etc) there shouldn't be a problem swapping from one to another. You'll probably notice one of the X9s I sent you has a coil head with a longer chimney in it than the others :D

My arthritis came along with psoriasis after a nasty shock I had back in the 70's ...never goes away!
Doubly awkward having it in my thumbs/wrists as I need to hold & manipulate a brush for long hours every day. Never mind, it could be worse!

I just tried holding it with thumb and forefinger ...seemed OK ..I'll try it for longer! :)

Sounds good! Is there any particular reason they do the glass ones dual coil?
So, it's a chimney! Something else new I've learned! :) I only took one of the X9's apart :)

I've noticed on Evods, that the ones with a Kanger stamp have the long one, the ones without a stamp have short, and the longer ones won't fit into the ones with a short one ......what's the difference?
