Disappointed with FT.
I ordered a King II Style Mechanical Mod...
LINK
Ordered on May 21'st, been waiting patiently, was gonna ship in five days. It was more like ten days actually.
It shows up today, looks beautiful, smooth threads, really nice but there is no way to isolate the battery from the firing switch. No delrin ring, no rubber o-ring, nothin. Screw it together with a battery and an atty and your on auto fire.
How on earth do they not notice something like that. Who does that?
There is no way to put this thing together safely. I'm pretty handy figuring stuff like this out but this is just stupid.
I'm hoping there's a missing part or some fix but this is no bueno as is.

Mike, the original chi you is exactly the same as is the chi you clone. You just need to use a battery that has the wrap that extends around the bottom of the negative pole. But, if like me, you generally have batteries where the wrap stops at the bottom of the battery body, just get a basic rubber o-ring to fit in the switch. As long as the o-ring sits slightly higher in the switch than the firing pin and doesn't impede the switch action, you'll be fine. That's what I did in my chi-you clone, works a treat. If you can find a delrin washer to fit, better still. When I first got my chi-you, I had the same auto-firing issue. Until I popped a washer in there, I had to keep unscrewing the switch between vapes.
I won't worry about tasting them - just hoping I end up with something worth using!
FT gave me the rest of the credit for the batteries they didn't send, so that's good
I'm sure it will work out for you Trisha, there's plenty of info on flavour percentages out there.
Glad to hear FT updated the credit too. Their pretty good with CS problems normally.
Been busy spending again as well, so have I ordered 2 4nines and the Brass/gold Astro along with a couple of tips and some magnets from FT then went on to MechMode and bought a 69, GUS and Poldiac, got to increase my collection

, I got a cheapy dremel lookalike from JML a few years ago, works okay for what I need although I had to widen the smallest one of the drill bit holders to take the bits I had, the others were too big.
My dremmel clone arrived today, quite impressed with it. The kit I ordered was supposed to have 88 pieces, the one I received had 192 - that's a bonus

They upgraded the order for free as they'd run out of the smaller kit. Came in it's own carrying case, with all the bits, cutters, wheels, polishers, spare chucks and even a flexible shaft for engraving work. Plus this one has a better variable speed range too and a higher wattage motor - really impressed with it

Cost me a third of the price of the similar dremmel version, plus I got a lot more extras.
I pick up my information quick Ian as I get it form the master keep up your good work mate I may end up a master 1 day
One day the student may become the master
Oh! I use mine in public all the time, even on the trains and planes (stealthily though on the latter), but not on buses, too many cameras these days on those, so far no problems, out in the local street once, some weird woman waved her hands thinking I was smoking, I just gave her a real funny look as though to say "W T F".
I vape everywhere and anywhere. Vape loud and vape proud

The only exception is, I wouldn't vape next to someone in a restaurant that was eating - even when smoking was allowed anywhere, I would never do this, I do have some morals

So it is possible to manage stealth!
I think I'd be more comfortable with things like an eGo outside if we hadn't had all the silly fuss about not using them in public places - it's obvious that we still have people who have been led to believe that they're not safe or not good to use. Very ignorant and misinformed yes, but I can be easily intimidated by such people. Hopefully, in time, things will quieten down and they'll be accepted easier.
I suppose with me working at home and not needing to go out every day, I don't ever see other people using them ...can't say I've seen anyone when walking the dog either.
If I worked in town then I'd probably see more people using them and not feel self conscious about it.
As Bob said double inhale - that's what I do in the Cinema and on the plane. Just take a reasonable draw and inhale deep into the lungs, wait a second or two and inhale again, so you completely fill your lungs. Hold this for a few seconds and exhale slowly. I can do this and produce no vapour at all. Or vape as normal and either blow it down your baggy jumper or into a hot cup of coffee
Guess I'm lucky, I see loads of people vaping. Still get the odd idiot that gives the fake cough, sometimes I'll offer them a try at my Vmod, cos their smokers cough sounds really bad, or I'll blow out an even bigger cloud to give them something else to "cough" at
