Hey! nice work with the 'QUOTE' stuff Terry! :)

Only a few CV I haven't liked: the blueberry ones, Red hot Pear, Orange custard Creams, and not fussed on the Jungle. Green eyed Monster had me thinking it wasn't agreeing with me ..may give it another cautious try at some point though. Haven't tried the Comp whatever it is, nor the Disciple. Fluffy Nuts and the Strawberry/Elderflower nice but not interesting enough for me.
I like all the rest, but they like me in varying degrees!

The Disciple not too bad 8/10 but not one you can spend too long vaping, it's in my occasional use pile.

Just reminded me that I have a Dandelion & Burdock from LT eCigs - it's rather nice too ...must try it again!
I like sparkling soda water for spritzers :)
Don't drink much or often, but do like a glass of merlot with a meal!

Not keen on Soda water - I like sweet things, when I was in Austria last year the hotel I stayed at used Soda water, then found out I had to ask for a Sweet Spritzer for Lemonade, although most of the time I just had a beer with my meals.

Absolute Disaster Time

Had to take a trip up to PC World (spit) earlier, just after I posted my 1st message this morning, the Computer died, it's been playing up recently, only this time it wouldn't restart, had to buy a new PSU, then spend ages disconnecting all the power cables taking the old PSU out, new one in and connecting all the cables back up - what a nightmare, but at least it's back up and running, don't know how long this one is going to last as PC World only sell the basic model of the one I wanted.

Of course I've ended up missing 4 hours of the Tour de France

I like a positive flavour but not an in your face one! The reason I haven't tried Disciple yet is that I've found cinnamon is another irritant for me, so I'm wary of anything strongly flavoured - don't know if this one has it in though.

I don't like sweet fizzy drinks - probably the artificial sweetener. I used to like the original Schweppes Dry Ginger Ale (not the modern one), Bitter Lemon now and then, Lucozade and a few others. Since artificial sweeteners, they all taste awful to me.

I absolutely hate it when anything happens to the computer! I had this one built by Chillblast 3 years ago (Photo Fusion) and just as I asked, it has been a rock solid workhorse with large capacity and plenty of power ...but, I do know that everything has a life span, and I do worry in case something causes a big problem. They do have an engineer that can poke around in it by remote access though.

2011 had been my best year ever work-wise which is why I decided to get a really good computer, as my work relies heavily on it, but the past two years have been much quieter at the galleries, so I certainly don't want to buy another.
I did get a notebook as a back-up but wouldn't like to rely on it for long as the screen is only 17" and not good for image work/processing.

Glad you at least got yours working again! :)

I'll try it again - can always add a bit of the LT peach to it!
I'll need to try the LMP again too - didn't like it much when it first arrived.

Been using some of the special edition NT Absolut CB - lovely! Lots of caramel & cream, barely a hint of tobacco. Glad I got 2x30ml bottles.
Wish they did all their liquids with a MaxVG option!

Normally I'm not a fan of lemon desserts, but the LMP is lovely, I got a large bottle myself this time too :D

I've never really been a fan of tobacco vapes. Tery sent me a couple (similar to Absolut CB), they were very nice vapes but not really ones that I could vape constantly - just a couple of draws then I had to change to something else.

That's bad news mate, will you be able to catch up with the Tour de France on-line at some point ??

As long as your PC is working now, that's the main thing I guess.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Today's update:

All my atties bar 2 are now rayoned up, my cotton pads are now feeling unloved at the back of the vape cupboard

Decided to try a new wick that I've never used before. A friend of mine (the lovely Terry) kindly sent me a few feet of ribbon wire that he's not using any more, so I thought I'd try "Mundy's Magic Ribbon". What an absolute pain in the rear to do. Ribbon kept on kinking up as I was twisting it, finally after about an hour, I had a few foot lengths of single twisted wire and a single foot length of double twisted wire. I didn't want to go for triple twisted wire, cos it would be too wide to fit in any of my toppers.

Managed to get a 5 wrap vertical coil in the iAtty, doesn't quite touch the sides. After a lot of playing around to get it to glow evenly, I tried getting some rayon through it - took about 15 minutes. I'm just glad it's working after all that hassle. To be perfectly honest, it's not that much better than a decent micro coil with rayon, but it can stay put for at least a year

------------------------------------
On the plus side though, Lewis Hamilton won the F1 race, could any of you hear me cheering  Also means I'm £33.00 up as well, had a small wager on him to win :D

Disciple is Absinthe, Aniseed & Citrus - no cinnamon, I can definitely taste the Aniseed, not so much the citrus, there is another flavour as well, but seeing as I have never tasted Absinthe, I don't know

Mine is quite a monster, the case alone is 21" x 22.5" x 9.5" with with i7 quad core cpu, 16GB ram, 3GB Radeon Video Card, a SSD for Windows 7, a 2GB data drive & a 2GB Media drive, and 2GB spare, had it made to order from PC Specialist about 2 years ago and seeing as it is on 24/7 (runs SETI in the background) I suppose the PSU was just about done in, I also have a Samsung laptop but don't really like using it, keep it downstairs for looking up things on IMDB when I can't remember someone's name.

What a nightmare afternoon i had with the dodgy kayfun. I ripped the coil out with the silica wick, and made a nice new micro 1.3 ohm, still a bit low but good enough. Tried to fire it and it tried then died :( Wouldn`t fire on anything. Buggered it up taking it out, cos the screw came out with it

Okay build another, with a few more extra wraps 2.2, installed it and same again nothing, dead as a dodo. Poked about around the dodgy screw and it fired. i very carefully got some rayon in. Filled up with GVC, gave it a blast and it was crap, hardly any vapour at all. New battery put in, and it was just the same, crap. 2.2 ohms, nope, not for me.

Well i had been at this for about 90 minutes now  to far in to give up, so i made another coil with 3 or 4 less wraps, and couldn`t even get a meter reading, jumping all over the shop. Time to make a brew now, as i was getting a bit ticked off. Went back to it, and ripped the coil out, and inspected the screw. I then realized it must be the ptfe tape what i put around the screw last time, got that off with a pin, and this time i rolled a tiny ball of ptfe up and stuffed it in the hole.

BIG SIGH...Made my umteenth coil, got the screw in till it started to bite, installed the coil 1.8 ohms-just what i was aiming for :D Test fire, and wonderful ! lighting up like a xmas tree. Rayoned the hell out of it  filled up and Mmm Mmm Mmm, well worth the three hours it took me.

As long as your PC is working now, that's the main thing I guess.

I saw the last couple of hours so wasn't too bad, some of the crowds watching were so big that there was only room for 1 cycle to go past in certain points, they should have put more barriers up.

Took me a while to get it back working, don't know what I would have done if it gone kaput altogether, I rely on it so much, should really see about getting one of those small profile ones and using my drives externally for all the data etc.

Well it sounds like most of us have had hassles today :(

But tomorrow is another day, fresh coils to build, new juices to vape and large PC's to dust

I've been dripping the banana pudding from NT today too. Bloody lovely, Trisha, you're right I can taste fresh banana, plus loads of fresh cream, a lovely cake base, nom, nom, nom :D

Sorry about the computer thing. My laptop is off at the menders on a psu issue as well. Boots in to safe mode - fine for ages. Boots into Win7 - fine for about a minute (crashes). So it will be psu or video chip. This kind of thing is annoying when it's a laptop. Might have to get a desktop again in future. At least then when things fry you can replace them. :)

Last laptop we had die on us, I took apart to see what I could salvage. Only managed to get the batteries out of the battery pack. But the fan had that much crud in it, it was probably stuck solid - probably the reason it died in the first place - was getting a bit warm before it's demise

Couldn't use any other parts unfortunately.

Hey Terry, Looks like you have been having fun NOT :laugh:, that's why I haven't really gone over to RBAs, too much faffing about, I prefer the easy life even though it might cost a bit more.

Ahh, don`t listen to me babbling on bob, i love tinkering about really. I only had to faff, coz the kayfun i was working on has got a dodgy negative block. If it would have been any others, i would have it done in 10 minutes mate. RBA`S are fantastic bob, when set up correctly.

That's why I prefer a Desktop, you can normally tell what has failed, unfortunately this time round the PSU didn't go bang like others before them have, so when it kept shutting down and restarting I couldn't pin it down until today, when it firmly refused to start.

Bob, excuse my ignorance, but is SETI the Extra Terrestrial site ??

Or is it something completely different ??

Yup, Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, during the winter I can do quite a bit, but have to cut back in the Summer due to overheating

I'll taste the LMP again soon!
If you like CV's RY, you'd like the ACB - all I taste is lots of caramel and cream. It hasn't steeped as much as it can either. I've got so that I'm not keen on tasting tobacco in anything.

Disciple is Absinthe, Aniseed & Citrus - no cinnamon, I can definitely taste the Aniseed, not so much the citrus, there is another flavour as well, but seeing as I have never tasted Absinthe, I don't know
Oh, well I may try it at some point then! As far as I know, the predominant flavour in absinthe is anise. ...don't mess with absinthe!

Your PC Specialist is a monster for capability, power & capacity etc!!
My Cooler Master Case is only an inch smaller than yours, and has an SSD plus two 1GB drives: one purely for images the second for other programmes, documents etc. The next model produced after mine was similar but with more capacity & power etc. ..they did another upgraded version since too.
No doubt yours was like mine: customisable. If the gallery world was as buoyant as it was, I'd be thinking about getting them to build me another soon. If this dies, then I'll have to, but not getting one at the moment! I couldn't work without it. I store all my reference material, set-up photos, photos of every painting, 'normal' photos and all my other work-related stuff such as website files, accounts, etc.
The notebook may be a decent one (I had Chillblast make that for me too), but I don't like it as much as the desktop by a long way! I even use a wireless keyboard and mouse with it if I have to use it!
One thing I do not want is W8! No way!

,filled up and Mmm Mmm Mmm, well worth the three hours it took me.
What patience! I'd have thrown it in the bin half way through all of that! I may have infinite patience to sit for hours painting, but when it comes to fiddling around with stuff like that, forget it!

I saw the last couple of hours so wasn't too bad, some of the crowds watching were so big that there was only room for 1 cycle to go past in certain points, they should have put more barriers up.
...and they said the country roads in Yorkshire would be dangerous! Hah! they forgot to control the people!

Took me a while to get it back working, don't know what I would have done if it gone kaput altogether, I rely on it so much, should really see about getting one of those small profile ones and using my drives externally for all the data etc.
If mine died on me, I wouldn't be able to fix it. Eldest son is good with computers, but if he's not around and something goes wrong, I really do panic!
Husband can't understand this relationship people have with computers because he doesn't like them, but really, nothing much moves in our lives without them!

Well it sounds like most of us have had hassles today :(
I've been having hassles for a week now: always had a PAYG Orange phone but it was sadly out of date. We only use it if we're going out and think we may need to use it or for others to get in touch - it isn't on all the time and that's how we like it! So, I thought I'd get a new one, and last Monday got a Nokia Lumia 625. Phoned Orange and asked them to transfer the old number to it along with the £69 credit I had.
Umpteen phone calls from younger son and myself have produced reassurances such as: it'll be working within 24 hours, it'll be working within 2 hours: then back to 24 hours, and on Friday, 48 hours! I can't get anywhere with them ..it's like talking to robots.
It'll be more of the same tomorrow, and I really don't know where to go from here - daren't use the old phone -not that I need to- but it's in limbo with it's number and credit being transferred (supposedly ) to the new phone sim. I couldn't just swap the sim because they're two different sizes.
Only thing it does do is pick up the Wi-Fi from my router.
Sick of this new phone before I even get to use it - I look at it frequently, but still 'no service'.

I've been dripping the banana pudding from NT today too. Bloody lovely, Trisha, you're right I can taste fresh banana, plus loads of fresh cream, a lovely cake base, nom, nom, nom :D
Yes, it is lovely! I won't be using it again though as I have to accept I just can't tolerate PG: It had me unable to breathe by late evening and I'd only used it for around 10 minutes!
Thank goodness the ACB is so good!
Don't forget the Frenilla and Strawberry Frenilla if you want some on Tuesday! Grrr! another one I can't use!
