What you waiting on trish ?
Nothing much to be honest: some acrylic flat tips, 30S coils, an airflow control valve and a stubby 350mAh battery! Only the battery was 5 days as far as I recall and now there's a few items.
The order is paid for so I'm reluctant to cancel it and start messing around with credits.
I sent them a message earlier so I'll see what they say.

 Yeah, no chance of keeping them two still  But I can keep very still trisha, honest.

OH and no hassle, i promise. :D
...I'd still know you were there! :p

Your PC Specialist is a monster for capability, power & capacity etc!!
My Cooler Master Case is only an inch smaller than yours, and has an SSD plus two 1GB drives: one purely for images the second for other programmes, documents etc. The next model produced after mine was similar but with more capacity & power etc. ..they did another upgraded version since too.
No doubt yours was like mine: customisable. If the gallery world was as buoyant as it was, I'd be thinking about getting them to build me another soon. If this dies, then I'll have to, but not getting one at the moment! I couldn't work without it. I store all my reference material, set-up photos, photos of every painting, 'normal' photos and all my other work-related stuff such as website files, accounts, etc.
The notebook may be a decent one (I had Chillblast make that for me too), but I don't like it as much as the desktop by a long way! I even use a wireless keyboard and mouse with it if I have to use it!
One thing I do not want is W8! No way!

I hope you have a good backup plan in place, I have 2 one to backup the backups, it would be disastrous to lose all that work and HDDs don't last forever, I have W8 (got it cheap when it first came out) on the lappy and hate it, think I will put W7 back on it.

What patience! I'd have thrown it in the bin half way through all of that! I may have infinite patience to sit for hours painting, but when it comes to fiddling around with stuff like that, forget it!

Another good reason for me not to get into RBAs too much, I would have done the same.

...and they said the country roads in Yorkshire would be dangerous! Hah! they forgot to control the people!

Amazing footage though, and luckily no accidents that I saw, unlucky for Cavendish not being able to continue though, and Froomey managed to get a point.

If mine died on me, I wouldn't be able to fix it. Eldest son is good with computers, but if he's not around and something goes wrong, I really do panic!
Husband can't understand this relationship people have with computers because he doesn't like them, but really, nothing much moves in our lives without them!

I'm no expert some things I can do, others I shout for help, like if the thermal paste between the heatsink and cpu goes then I get someone else to do it, I have blown a motherboard in the past trying to fix that.

I've been having hassles for a week now: always had a PAYG Orange phone but it was sadly out of date. We only use it if we're going out and think we may need to use it or for others to get in touch - it isn't on all the time and that's how we like it! So, I thought I'd get a new one, and last Monday got a Nokia Lumia 625. Phoned Orange and asked them to transfer the old number to it along with the £69 credit I had.
Umpteen phone calls from younger son and myself have produced reassurances such as: it'll be working within 24 hours, it'll be working within 2 hours: then back to 24 hours, and on Friday, 48 hours! I can't get anywhere with them ..it's like talking to robots.
It'll be more of the same tomorrow, and I really don't know where to go from here - daren't use the old phone -not that I need to- but it's in limbo with it's number and credit being transferred (supposedly ) to the new phone sim. I couldn't just swap the sim because they're two different sizes.
Only thing it does do is pick up the Wi-Fi from my router.
Sick of this new phone before I even get to use it - I look at it frequently, but still 'no service'.

I hate Orange, I had 2 phones which we used for Emergencies, and because we hardly ever used them they tried to steal the money off them, where is your nearest big town, that has an Orange store, I would suggest going to it if you can, taking the old SIM/phone and new one, they should be able to do it there and then

I do a weekly back-up to an external disc and also keep the back-up copy on a different drive too. I sometimes copy important folders over to the notebook too. I keep all my website files on another external drive.
I suppose it wouldn't hurt to keep a small external drive updated weekly with a second copy of the latest back-up. ....not that I have a clue how to restore such stuff! but I could always send the back-up drive to Chillblast to fix it for me!

Just saw this too that may be of interest at some later time re W8:

I don't even like taking the cover off to clean inside the case!
Our son had offered to build a computer to the same spec as this one, but when he checked, there was very little difference in price, and came without the 2 year warranty of course.

The only reason I stayed with Orange is that I can get better coverage - son lives fairly close and has had two others and coverage is poor.
I use the phone so little, it's not a big issue as long as it works.
I've spent a long time on the phone this morning and finally got the answer: sim card appears faulty! So, the fastest way to deal with that is to pay £15 for a new one and get them to change it there and then at Carphone warehouse. They can phone Orange and do the changeover for me (apparently).
To get the card free I'd either have to go to another town (an EE store) or get on the phone to ask for one to be posted ...worth £15 to go to the nearest and get it out of my hair today!

The "press & shoot" feature sounds very handy. Not sure about controlling the flow of liquid with the drip tip, though. How would that work?

Looking at what I've read so far, you push the drip tip and the juice flows out of the tank onto the wick & coil, presumably there are a couple of small holes that open up in the side of the chimney.

Not sure pipe, but the chromed brass would be an issue for me !

Could well be, stainless steel would have been a lot safer.

That's good, it's amazing how many people don't back up at all then moan like anything when the drives fail, I have a couple of NAS (network assisted storage) drives both in Raid 1 mode (2 drives inside each mirroring each other, so that if one fails I can just swap it over without loss of data)

Looking at that, they don't seem to want to get away from that horrible blocky interface, and restore the Aero feel, I think the only way to get a lot of people away from Win7 is to bring out something very similar but with the security enhancements that W8 has.

Coverage is the main problem, why can't these companies get together and share the costs of installing masts and then let any phone connect via them, that way we might get a better coverage, when I worked on the railway could never understand that when we went through the New Forest, we would lose the signal, but drivers in cars wouldn't because of where they sited the masts.

I used to be with Vodafone when I worked, tried Orange, but now I am with 3, simply because their PAYG 321 pricing is so good 3p/min, 2p/txt & 1p/MB data, £20 lasts me months :)

:D My son used to say I was paranoid about such things and also security ...he soon changed his mind after losing a drive and later getting cash stolen via a hacked Paypal account!
I say, if a threat exists, try to avoid it.
We'll never avoid all unforeseen problems with computers, but we can at least try!

Exactly. To me W8 looks like a social media toy compared to a serious workplace computer. They really do need to get their heads around the fact that there are two types of computer user, and allow people the choice.
This new Lumia 625 has a W8 interface! ...as far as I can see without being able to use it properly, it isn't a big problem on a phone.

Yes, good universal coverage should indeed be in place by now! I very rarely use the phone, so topping up is a rare occurrence. I have £69 credit on the old one, so I'm hoping I don't end up fighting to get that transferred!
I did as Orange told me on the phone this morning: went to the Carphone warehouse (I'd phoned before going and was told yes, they could change the sim and get it activated for me) ...got there and the chap in charge told me no, they can't. I had to go to the next town and the EE shop!
At least the chap there seemed to know what he was doing. He tested the phone, then got a new sim and phoned Orange ...lady was obviously making things hard for him and he repeatedly had to tell her that he was a staff member and all she had to do was arrange the change-over. Eventually, he said an exasperated thank you and hung up. He assured me it'll be working ..probably in a few hours, but anything up to 24. I'll believe it when I see it!

Reason I went for an Android phone, I had gone through Nokias and Blackberries, didn't want anything made by money grabbing Apple, and Windows was too similar to W8

And these companies wonder why they lose customers - I think I would have demanded my £69 refunded and told them where to stick their service, unfortunately looks like you are a captive audience if no other company can offer a decent signal.

Yup, Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence, during the winter I can do quite a bit, but have to cut back in the Summer due to overheating

Must admit I do have an interest in that sort of thing myself. I've always been intrigued by the fact that the Universe is the size it is, but we still haven't found any other inhabited planets. Or at least, the type of inhabitants that we expect :D

Before we look for extra-terrestrial intelligence we should identify and encourage home-grown talent.

The other planets can wait - and they probably have their own issues (how much sun factor do you have to wear if you're a Venusian?)

On this planet, there's very little intelligence  This forum is the exception obviously ;)

Posted off the rayon for you today mate, so should be with you pretty soon :)

I'll taste the LMP again soon!
If you like CV's RY, you'd like the ACB - all I taste is lots of caramel and cream. It hasn't steeped as much as it can either. I've got so that I'm not keen on tasting tobacco in anything.

I've been having hassles for a week now: always had a PAYG Orange phone but it was sadly out of date. We only use it if we're going out and think we may need to use it or for others to get in touch - it isn't on all the time and that's how we like it! Only thing it does do is pick up the Wi-Fi from my router.
Sick of this new phone before I even get to use it - I look at it frequently, but still 'no service'.

Yes, it is lovely! I won't be using it again though as I have to accept I just can't tolerate PG: It had me unable to breathe by late evening and I'd only used it for around 10 minutes!
Thank goodness the ACB is so good!
Don't forget the Frenilla and Strawberry Frenilla if you want some on Tuesday! Grrr! another one I can't use!

Hopefully the LMP should taste better in a while Trisha. I'd be careful with any juice that has even a hint of tobacco Trisha, tobacco juices take longer to steep than any other. So you might not taste the tobacco at first, but it could come through stronger at some point. To be honest, I'm pretty much set in my juice choices now. I'll still try a new one occasionally - usually courtesy of my mate Terry

I know a lot of people have had problems with Orange CS, but for me (touch wood) they've been just fine. I've had a contract with them for more years than I care to mention, but to give you an idea, my first phone from them was the size of a house brick and everyone couldn't believe how small it was

Think I'll resist the Strawberry Frenilla on this run. I've got loads of strawberry based juices right now, I'll be turning red in a bit

P.S. If you want any life models trish, i believe ronnie and ian are up for it.

Not enough paint to do my parts mate  I've got a large head obviously

Just saw this on another forum, could be quite useful, what do you think boys: $17.61 M8 Glass Tank Rebuildable Atomizer (4ml) - chromed brass at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

As others have said brass posts could be an issue. Looks easy to fit wicks, but is the system robust enough to stand the test of time. I'd like to see more pics inside the top cap to see the juice control system. I do have juice control on the Ithaka, but I just unscrew the mouthpiece to expose more wick, works just fine. I'll be honest, brass doesn't bother me, but the juice control is my mine issue. I would honestly wait for a few reviews first, before hitting the button, just to be on the safe side :)

what you trying to say I have been very quiet lately don't know about Ian though

I'm a good lad I am, I'm always quiet - when I'm asleep :p

You have indeed, and Ian, as always has been an absolute gentleman ..as has Terry, bless him :)

Why thankyou Trisha, I'm always a Gentleman when Ladies are present
