I only chat up the ones I know are loaded Bob :laugh:

With me it's just snakes, I've always had a fear of them. When I was a kid, I couldn't even watch one on the TV, had to leave the room. Not as bad now though, but I definitely wouldn't touch one

Was quite funny watching her paw away at the window. Would have thought after 5 minutes she would have realised it was pointless

The originals I've got do perform better than the clones, but with some modding, ranging from slight to major surgery, the clones I've got are almost as good as the originals :D

You could always get a snake wrap for your box mod mate.

I'm only anti-social when I'm working
I'm OK with most people really, but on the roads and in places like supermarkets, there's some really ignorant, thoughtless specimens.

I actually let the cat out later on, first time she's been out without her lead on. Watched her for 10 minutes, she had a good snoop around the back garden, popped her head around the kitchen door to make sure I was still there, then went for a wander round the front. She came back after about 20 minutes, had a clean then curled up on the dining table
Our two dogs wouldn't do that ..they'd go exploring, likely get on the road or get lost!

You sound just like my Wife with new technology  She's currently trying to add a printer to her laptop, it's taken me 5 minutes just to type one line, I keep getting "it's just done this" :(
Oh, I've been very quietly sat here prodding the screen and generally trying to find my way around the inner maze!
The only email I wanted on this phone is Hotmail because it syncs with the online and desktop versions. I found that android was the last type to get Hotmail so I had to find and download an app ....not as easy as I'd though! But, to my surprise, I did it!
Because I'd had to log into Google for some reason, the stupid phone assumed I'd want my email account on it ..lo and behold every dratted email in the online version appeared! Had to go online and delete them all!
Then I found how to bin apps from the screen and how to move them! Only thing I'm not too sure about is text messages ...leave that until tomorrow and son can sort that one out.
I will get some work done today! Dread to think how many hours that pesky phone has cost me!

I like technology, but prefer to have dedicated devices/equipment, and a lot of things seem to be linked in an ever widening circle these days ...I don't care for that. ..and, I like a button that does one thing, not open a whole Tardis of hidden corners where what I want is well hidden!
I view TV on a TV, listen to music on a music system, compute on a computer and talk to people on a phone.
Now this phone 'peers' into the computer, the TV uses the Wi-Fi for updating and goodness knows what else is busying itself in places it shouldn't be!

Blimey. now you've got me thinking about pipes again, and baccy - Ogdens 12-inch flake (scented) from either Taylor and Breedon or Thorburn and Clarke. Oh no - let me love my vape instead (ever seen a really dirty pipe-cleaner? I used to inhale that). :)
I love the smell of pipe tobacco - Granddad had a pipe that belched Old Holborn smoke like a steam train, and the company accountant when I was at work used a wonderful cherry vanilla tobacco! ...looking at that, not much different from some e-liquids!

I have quite a good vocabulary of words, just find it hard conversing in German, although it gets easier once I have been over there for a few days, I was born in an RAF hospital, due to my parents being in married quarters in Minden at the time.

Still nothing received here either - on another note I managed to get an order in with NT for some Frenilla & Strawnilla, just 15ml to try
I've always preferred French to German ..it flows beautifully :)
Frenilla's! Lovely. I'd have happily had some if they'd had the maxVG in them!

Is the gizmo the "airflow control", if so it screws onto the 510 connector on the battery, then the 30s screws into that, a. it will save wear and tear on the battery and b. you could end up with a better connection which could be a cause of the leaks, as for the gurgles, what I normally do if I get those, is to take the 30s off the battery and holding a scrunched up piece of kitchen roll over the connector blow through the mouthpiece, that should clear any juice that is in the way, then re-attach it, press the power button for a second or two, then start vaping again.
Oh well, when it comes, I'll see if it improves things!
I do keep removing it, cleaning the top of the battery, drying the thread and blowing through it - then it's OK for a while before it starts gurgling and leaking again! :)

Most of their employees are paid peanuts - guess what you get  Glad to hear you got an Android, it's a bit of a learning curve, but doesn't take long, sure the son will get you going.
Time was, people who worked in specialist shops knew everything about the items they sold!
I do have to say that the manager at the EE shop was knowledgeable and extremely helpful the past two days when we were there - he's pretty young too.
I was getting along OK with the windows phone after a couple of days, but after a few hours poking around in this android one, it's feeling better than it did!

Whatever - we vape now and we're saving the world/whale/money/health of the nation...something like that. :)
Yes, indeed! I was out this afternoon: quite surprising to see just how many people do still smoke. Son has been stopped smoking for 10 years now, but admitted today that now and then, he'd still like one. I had a moment like that today. As long as I can work around this breathing problem with the stuff, I'll be happy to carry on.
I hadn't realised just how much cigarettes have risen in price since last December!

You could always get a snake wrap for your box mod mate.
That could be defined as aversion therapy

Flemish and German are both awkward languages as they put verbs at the end of sentences and have lots of compound words, like "Zentralestelle fuer Arbeitsmittelung" (Job Centre). I've never been too good at languages, but do try to pick up as many words as I can in French & German, can usually ask questions to find my way around, book an Hotel and order food etc, the problem comes if they answer too quickly and not in simple sentences, I have a couple of words and can count to 10 in Flemish, Italian, Spanish and Welsh as well.

Frenilla's! Lovely.

I'll take your word for that:laugh:, it does sound nice, might try the ABC and RYWhore later today, they've been steeping away for a couple of weeks now.

I was getting along OK with the windows phone after a couple of days, but after a few hours poking around in this android one, it's feeling better than it did!

I had a quick look at a YT video yesterday of your phone and it looks like it has 2 different types of screens, a blocky W8 style and the proper Android style, what you need is to get son to put it permanently in the Android style, normally on the Main Home screen (mine has 7 home screens) there are 4 icons along the bottom and one of them should be Messaging, if you open that one it should bring up all contacts that you send/rec txts to/from, opening the name of the contact will bring up all the txts themselves, a lot of the preinstalled apps are usually ok but like Windows there is bloatware you will never ever use, lots of things you may need you will have to download and install.

Or just a good old wind up
Well yes, there's that!

It seems a very stilted and awkward language compared to the 'rippling along' nature of French & Italian.

I'll take your word for that:laugh:, it does sound nice, might try the ABC and RYWhore later today, they've been steeping away for a couple of weeks now.
Pretty sure you'll like that! As for ABC and RY, same thing ...they're both nice. Don't expect GVC with ABC as CV aren't trying to match it, it's their own type of custard. I like both, but ABC doesn't give me any problems, GVC does if I use too much of it. RY's reputation is enough- it's good. As I've said before, it's extra creamy with Confusion added. Can add ABC to it too.

I did actually find the two screen options and went for the android one! Changed the yucky yellow wallpaper too. I used a very pale pinky/white close up of a rose ..can't really tell it's a rose though, just nice and pale! Not really a 'pink flower' type of person.
The contacts bit of messaging seems to be all phone number orientated - more to find out there I think. I thought it may have auto complete by using a name.

So far, I'm not liking android to much - it feels like a commercially owned object rather than 'mine'. Google controls far too much that cannot be deleted/binned.
This morning, I managed to find out how to disable the Gmail app. Seems to be working so I must have done something right.

I think the EE shop manager perhaps didn't suggest I get another 625 in case we had the same problem in using my old phone number and transferring credit over.
I'm thinking that if I (at some point) get a sim free 625, I should be able to just put the Kestrel sim into the Nokia phone? EE customer services tell me they are indeed the same size sim.
Been trying to do a seemingly simple thing like change phones for 10 days now and I'm wishing I'd never started!

Cody, if you're pipe does go wrong, send it this way for me to look at - you might not get it back though

I'm sure you would treat it just as well as one of your own... you would just have to remember that it's not! :)

Haven't checked it but I think it is Meerschaum (a german word after the makers name)

I had a look at some meershcaum pipes on google images today after i saw your post.... some really crazy looking pipes, mainly of poseidon - type busts as the actual pipe bowl... a little too out there for my tastes!

I hope it does arrive in time! :) ...only 3 days after my birthday!

I'm sure September must be the most popular birth month in the UK. I went to school with 2 other lads that shared my birthday. 2 of my best friends have birthdays within 2 days of mine and im always suprised at how many of the people i know are virgos! Must be something to do with being concieved around Christmas time :)

The Meerschaum thing I think means sea-foam - whatever, it's a very light clay-type bowl for those who smoke baccy. When you have "coloured" a Meerschaum you've broken it in. Basically the tar and nic penetrate to give it their own colour. They're great - but even more than a Vamo - don't drop them! Blimey. now you've got me thinking about pipes again, and baccy - Ogdens 12-inch flake (scented) from either Taylor and Breedon or Thorburn and Clarke. Oh no - let me love my vape instead (ever seen a really dirty pipe-cleaner? I used to inhale that). :)

Treat yourself to a new (e) pipe, there are some amazing looking pipes out there, maybe they have improved a lot since you gave up on them :) - when i was researching i was looking in the e-pipe section of ECF and there was a link to this place in Spain that make both traditional and e-pipes and a lot of them from a briar plateaux too. Even more expensive than mine though

SteamPunk I like, have got my name on the list for "The Slug", but haven't heard anything yet.

Is she a regular round at your place, because I'm amazed she didn't run off and get lost

Must admit when I go away somewhere, I always try to at least learn how to say hello and thankyou. My Mum drilled that into me, you should always make the effort on holiday. Came in handy on my last holiday to Scotland

I do like the look of the Slug, I was looking at it a few weeks ago, when I still had some vape budget spare.

It's the first time the cat has been to our house :) Let her out again today for an hour, she just sat on top of my shed watching me while I watered the veggies and ate my dinner outside - soon as I'd finished, she followed me back inside.

That does sound complicated mate. Is there a whole pipe type forum out there, similar to this place ??

Has the Rayon arrived yet ??

That would be the hard part mate, I could quite easily forget that bit

Sorry I shot off last night, without saying good night. The Wife was at the stage of throwing the laptop against the wall, so I had to rescue it from her evil clutches

--------------------

My FT order for the drippers and battery wrap shipped today. Plus other good news, I won another 30 quid on the match last night. When I last checked yesterday, the score was 7-0 to Germany. I'd backed Germany to win and both teams to score and also Brazil to win and both teams to score - hedging my bets, even though I don't have a clue about football  Thought I'd lost out on those two small bets, until I saw the back of the newspaper today (not normally a page I look at). So that's another £30 towards my holiday spending money :D They'll probably close my account soon, cos I'm taking more money from them than I'm spending

Tried them both earlier, I liked the ABC, it tasted very sweet and should be good for sweetening up a few of my other juices, and the RY was nice as well

This morning, I managed to find out how to disable the Gmail app. Seems to be working so I must have done something right.

The first week is always the hardest, trying new things, seeing what does what, and trying to get rid of the bloatware, but once you get past that, I think it may grow on you, in messaging, when you open it, there should be a write icon near the top right, if you click on that, you should get a screen where you can search your contacts for who you want to send a message to, as you start typing the name, the list of contacts will show and you just either keep typing or pick a name out of those that appear, then type your txt message in the other box and press send.

Most phones these days are oriented towards the maker, with lots of stuff added that you can't remove, my Android phone is a Samsung and I can't get rid of the Samsung stuff most of which I don't want, on the other hand my tablet also made by Samsung for Google is the Nexus, which is a proper Google Android tablet, and has nothing from Samsung on it, and only programs that I want on it, although some of the Google stuff has to stay on there because the Android OS is Google's, though you don't have to use it, I have a gmail account, but I don't use the gmail app, because I prefer AquaMail on Android, it a matter of choice.

Must admit when I go away somewhere, I always try to at least learn how to say hello and thankyou. My Mum drilled that into me, you should always make the effort on holiday. Came in handy on my last holiday to Scotland

I canna say, ma kin were all from around Greenock.

Just hope I manage to get my hands on one, the wood and brass look very nice.

That really amazes me about the cat, there is an unwritten rule that when you take a cat to an unknown place e.g: if you move house, then you shouldn't let them out for the first couple of weeks to allow them to get the scent of the new place, cats have been known to run off and maybe turn up weeks later at their old address if it is close by.

That's just evil Terry, I wouldn't be able to pick it up, I'd have to wear gloves while vaping

It made me  when I saw his comment

I can't say I've met that many people with September birthdays ...lots with May ones though! Husbands birthday is May and he's met lots of people with the same birthday.
I have always found that with people I really like or find common ground with are September Virgo or May Taurus!

Must admit when I go away somewhere, I always try to at least learn how to say hello and thankyou. My Mum drilled that into me, you should always make the effort on holiday. Came in handy on my last holiday to Scotland
Och aye, that it would! ;)
In Paris I was very glad to be able to rake up enough French to know how to converse on a fairly basic level because they love it if people at least try, and will help when people are at a loss for the right word/phrase ...don't even try though and they'll be far less helpful.

I see most of those ignorant people on a daily basis

I've found with technology that I'll learn how to do something or make something work if I a/need it, and b/am interested in it - has to be both though :)
The husband of a family member was/is a website builder, and back in 2000, agreed to build me a website ....showed me a draught of the home page and one other and it was awful! Bright blue with lime green text for a start. Obviously clever with code, not with design. After a few more false starts, I downloaded a WYSIWYG site builder and spent 80 hours building a site. It was an OK one too and I still have the same basic site although it has been 'modernised' a couple of times. With recent changes in resolutions and web pages, it doesn't look so good on all screens or in all browsers now, so does need either replacing or some radical overhaul. Beyond me I think. I'll need to be in the right mind-set to start tinkering around with it again.

Sorry I shot off last night, without saying good night. The Wife was at the stage of throwing the laptop against the wall, so I had to rescue it from her evil clutches
It could have joined my phone ..I was on the point of hurling it out of a window last night!
I've had a thought on the phone thing - if I get another Nokia 625 on PAYG it'll be £10 cheaper than buying a sim free one, and it will have £10 credit on it too. I can then swap the sims over so that I have the Nokia with my own number and the remaining £70+ credit, and we'll also have another working phone with a different number. Not essential for us, but I did prefer the Windows phone to the android one.
Been using the text messaging on it earlier tonight to try it out on the son in Barbados. At least I know how to do that now. Must say though, I prefer the bigger keyboard on my desk!

So that's another £30 towards my holiday spending money :D They'll probably close my account soon, cos I'm taking more money from them than I'm spending
Have you got a lottery ticket? ...you may be on a winning streak!

:tumble: Seems quiet on here tonight, does nobody want to talk

Think I'll watch some TV then, night all, night Ian

I've got the X-Gun, it's a monster isn't it, like the toppers, where did you get them?

Yes it is big, like a 26650 mod size wise.

For the toppers, only 2 places I have seen them so far (that you could just get one).
http://www.smokenmist.com/ for the left one and focalecig, com for the right one.
