I wonder that sometimes Trish, they seem to convert $1 = £1, certain things are more expensive over there but a lot of things are a darn sight cheaper, the problem is you have to work out how much the VAT + £8 RM fee will be on top of what you are ordering if it goes over about $24 to see whether it is worth the effort & wait.

I am pleased that you feel a bit better trish, even though it is only a bit :( And i hope the tablets help out. It will certainly be the taxes trish what pump up the prices here. I think this country must have one, if not the highest vat rates in europe.
It's certainly ridiculous that a tube of paint for instance can leave Italy, cross the pond and cost that much less than here, supposedly inside the EU!
I'm not particularly looking forward to going to sleep tonight because I know it'll take hours tomorrow to get things to settle down again once I get up again! It's a pain. Can only hope it settles down a lot more soon.
I'll keep taking these tablets though and with luck, they may make a big difference.

I also agree with everything you say regarding the bast*r*ds, who want to destroy our civilized cultures and go back to living in the bloody dark ages. Like they do now incidently. I am not going to post on here on the way i would sort it out given the chance, but it would include something with nuclear in it`s name.
The trouble seems to be spreading like a malignancy. It may be the first thought that springs to most of our minds, but nuclear offensive isn't the answer ...for one thing, they aren't all in the same place by a long stretch - they seem to spread relatively thin and far, and for another, it could trigger mayhem from other volatile countries.
Our younger son mentioned only today the drop on Hiroshima, and how it couldn't happen now, in a modern world. It certainly solved things, but it wouldn't work with this situation.
These people don't use modern warfare tactics ...9/11 was a sneaky horror borne of very lateral thinking.
I don't have the answers, but I wish someone did.

Anyway, seeing I like the H1N1 (not tobacco tasting at all by the way) I think I'll try my Wakonda mixed with CB or something similar! Only way I'll get to try the ones that don't come in a max VG. I've got a small bottle of 18mg Strawnilla too!
On Wednesday, I didn't touch nicotine after one attempt made me feel even worse (hope I haven't put myself off the PBC for good!) and I didn't miss it one bit. Only used a small amount yesterday, but today, there's that old familiar wheeze and tightness again! I do wish it wouldn't do that! :(

Yes, it often does seem to be even £'s for $'s - with art materials, I have a friend in LA, and he used to take delivery of the paint etc., re-label it and post it on to me. He also made me linen panels too and sent those.
I can get most of the same items here now since introducing the paint and panels to a London art store, so it's not necessary any more.

With those coils, luckily I could only order two packs and it was under $19 with postage :)

Fight fire with fire is what i say trish, they want their own country/state, okay give them one, let them flock there from all over the world and settle in nicely Then we hit them bloody hard. Don`t get me wrong i am not a warmonger, but i want rid of that lot, sooner rather than later.

They don't really want their own country/state, all they want to do is cause problems for the Western World, what I say is let the Saudis have them, they know how to deal with terrorists, criminals etc.

Well considering they have already "claimed" a state in iraq, i would have to disagree with you there. And like most countries in our civilized world, the saudis wouldn`t touch them with a VERY long pole.

You are a gent, sir

I did some of that recently, mainly the Vapable ones, think I ordered too many of them, some of the others I off loaded to a mate who I used to work with and supports Dulwich Hamlet, same as me.

You're welcome Bob, I'll let you know if I've got any left when I do a sort out.

I certainly did need the sleep. Managed to sleep from around 12midnight until 7am today too, but getting up again was not good! It's taken until now for things to calm enough for me to move around better.
Son brought me some tablets he'd got months ago for labyrinthitis, and it turned out to be the same ones my old doctor gave me some years ago when I was troubled by this BPPV. They did help quite a bit then (Betahistine dihydrochloride), but this time is worse than back then. Hopefully, they'll still help! Have only had two so far.

You don't have to know anything about painting & art. All you do need to know is a/ do you like it, and b/ does It look right. If the answer is yes on both counts, then she's talented! :) The other thing to know is that no artist is ever 100% happy with what they do ..it's all about ever improving. One huge learning curve. Water colour is the least forgiving too, and as such, the most difficult to master.

Ah! there's a thought - do a search for Jacksons Art and my name - you should find an article they did about me last year.

Well I hope things settle down soon for you Trisha and the tablets help.

I keep telling the Wife she should do more painting, but she doesn't take compliments very well. In fact she's a superb singer as well, but trying to get her up singing is like trying to push a bus uphill  My Step Daughter gets her Mother's talent for singing too, in fact she won a national karaoke competition a few years back and won time in a recording studio. She decided not to bother and keep working as a Care Assistant  That's one thing that really irks me, when someone has a natural talent and just doesn't do anything with it. If I could do something like that, I wouldn't be driving buses that's for sure

The problem is there's too much Political correctness these days. Just send in the SAS, SBS and any other Elite forces, give them free reign to deal with them as they see fit. Instead of having some Bureaucrat sat in an office hundreds of miles away pulling the strings. I'm pretty sure the guys with the winged daggers on their caps would soon sort them out.

To be honest I think their there just to gather intel, to guide in the air strikes. I read an article, not longer ago about how the SAS now have their hands tide as far as shooting goes. Now they have to be able to justify every shot and can be held accountable for every shot taken. Way to PC for my liking, let the guys go in all guns blazing the way they used to be able to. The scum they are up against aren't going to think twice about slotting an SAS soldier, so why should it be any different for our guys ??

You'd need a darn big country to get them all 'settled' into ...and they aren't so dumb that they'd just gather there like sitting ducks  ...sadly!

Just saw this on AAEC and wondered if anyone was interested, I've sent off for a couple: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiDa1V6RZy0
Nice! ..but yet another lot of coils to stock up on :(

They don't really want their own country/state, all they want to do is cause problems for the Western World, what I say is let the Saudis have them, they know how to deal with terrorists, criminals etc.
They want all of the countries and states ..they want to impose their so called religion on as much of the world as they can, by fair means or foul. They vowed they'd do that a good many years ago now.

Well considering they have already "claimed" a state in iraq, i would have to disagree with you there. And like most countries in our civilized world, the saudis wouldn`t touch them with a VERY long pole.
Too many factions, spin-offs, groups, sympathisers, and not to mention those too afraid to stand against them. Every leader world-wide needs to take a very firm stand against them and take responsibility for clearing them out of their countries- but we know that won't happen! :(

Well I hope things settle down soon for you Trisha and the tablets help.
Thanks Ian - I'm pretty fed up of it already. I'm fine if I don't move! ..by the time I've slept, I won't be able to look down at the keyboard again! Still, never know - these tablets may help by morning!

Some people (myself included) find it very hard to 'make an exhibition' of themselves ....it doesn't always sit comfortably no matter how good/competent they are. I was being trained for Covent Garden Opera by an ex opera performer who had gone on to become her Majesty's Chapel choirmaster. Every time he put me into grade competitions, my voice shrank and disappeared, and I did have a very powerful soprano voice. I was in 2 Church choirs because they actually wanted me! But, I began singing with a group and had my head turned by the music of the day ...and my vocal chords badly strained to boot!
Always meant to go back to it, but life happened, and it was painting that I happened upon first. Finally, I'd found what I was best at, but attending my own gallery openings was a nightmare, so I don't go anymore because by the time the day comes, I'm a wreck.
If your wife is taking lessons or attending a class, her work will grow and become even better. Perhaps find an art society that puts on shows? A bit of success is a huge encouragement :)

The problem is there's too much Political correctness these days.
Yes, and I think that's what weakened things to the extent we didn't dare risk upsetting anyone of different ethnicity. It was a disaster just waiting to gather speed!

I do think more under cover/covert work would achieve a lot, but all this PC rubbish stands in the way, and they have to be answerable to far too many people before they can act.
Who knows what is going on out of sight, but it'll be a drop in the ocean against the vast array of fanatics.

We seem to have acquired a potentially nasty world ....someone let the genie out of the bottle and it'll be a darn hard job getting it back in again!

I wouldn`t be at all surprised by that mate, the wifes brother did a few years in the sas, and he could see the signs then and got out. He sits in front of a computer now, gathering intelligence. Travels all over the world doing this

Well now we've set the World to rights, I'd better call it a night :D
If only words would do it!

Thanks - often seems we the public can see the simple truth and part of the answers, yet they can never do that without making everything as complicated and un-doable as possible.

I know they wouldn't want them as citizens, but they would know how to deal with them if they were prisoners :laugh:
If all countries would/could deal with what's on their own doorstep, it would make a huge difference.
