I watched a documentary about one such family, and wished I hadn't! They had a football team, not a family! ...and the council had to convert two houses to provide a home for them.
Until last winter, we'd been very unhappy to find that a large detached house nearby had been rented at £1100.00 per month to a family of four where the parents didn't work because they said their special needs children needed 24 hour care. Needless to say, everything was paid for in benefits.
We began to notice that they ran a 4WD, had a TV that literally covered a large wall, and took the two children to school or wherever every morning. They then had another child, and the wife would go past with a pushchair and a dog. Last winter though, the new rules about benefit caps came into being, and they were given notice to move out and find something cheaper. During that months notice, the wife suddenly developed a dragging foot - when she remembered!! ...not sure what sort of scam that was in aid of, but there were a few local people very relieved to see them go.
At least that was one thing that the government began to sort out! Child allowance is a good thing for those that need it, but I do believe that if people cannot afford to have children, then they shouldn't expect others to contribute, nor feign extreme circumstances that aren't really there.

That's the ones that really annoy me, nothing but scroungers expecting everyone to give them everything, and they usually have some sort of black market scam going on as well raking in hundreds of pounds a week.

You've got me curious now ..I'll have to look back through my orders!

Yes, something I've long admired in other EU countries: the fact that the police carry authority and command respect! We saw a student shot at a demonstration in Austria: demo's illegal, and when we were in Madrid, I realised that they had a two-tier police: one were the usual approachable kind, the other were quite frightening ...I made the mistake of asking one where there was a post office! He glared at me, placed his hand on his holster, and then realised I was just a lost foreigner and softened enough to help.

Always remember going to Prague just after the wall came down, same thing 2 types of Police, walking around together in pairs, one dressed in blue and carrying a baton and a pistol, the other dressed in military fatigues and carrying a Kalashnikov.
I think Spain and Italy are both similar in their Police make up, the city or regional police and the National Police, the latter being the more heavily armed and not so friendly.

Can you compare it to the CV Caramel Cappuccino ...better, same, worse?
I'm going to re-visit my CV coffee ones to see how I find them now. I did like them quite a lot, but haven't used them much recently.

I've had the CV one on the go for a while now, but have only just put the MBV one in a clearo to try it again, as I have left it alone for quite some time.
Colourwise the CV is definitely darker, and I think I prefer that one to the MBV one, the MBV has that tobaccoey taste that a lot of coffee flavours have.

In fact I would say it is more like a slightly stronger CV R-Y ..... (it has the usual +2 MBV flavouring) just tried them both in tandem.

Should i send for a Pink one,so i've got the set?
It would have to be an inhouse vape only 'tho.

It's not really pink - more Magenta like this - I have the full set and wouldn't worry about taking it out.

Another newbie question from me if someone would be so kind

If I'm using n-r-n wire, would I set the steam engine calculator

to zero in the leg length box ?

and would I start wrapping the coil from the weld ? TIA

Yes to both questions :)

I've held back on the iStick after reading some discussions

regarding soft metal used for the 510 connector

problems with misfires and false readings at lower wattages

has anyone on here had any such problems ?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

And thanks again Bob, I'm getting there slowly but surely

VapeMail - Strix ejuice finally arrived early this morning by RMSD, my Black Reo arrived lunchtime by RM normal delivery and later my accessories from ReosMods arrived by ParcelFarce, so that's 3 off the list, only another 6 still in transit, wondering if my small leather pouch has gone missing because it has been at RMs Heathrow depot since the 30/10, unless there is an anti Russian thing going on

Not had any problems with my 4, but I am very careful with all my mods, never tighten anything down too hard, not sure what you mean by false readings, they use Mean rather than RMS which most other mods use (or give a choice of), which means that you have to set it lower than a comparable setting on another type of mod, so if you had a Hana set at 10w then with the iStick and same atty you would have to set it at 9w for a similar vape, maybe even 8w.

You're welcome, and aren't we all :)

Vince as an adddition to the above, just had another look using the iClear XI with a 2.2 ohm head, on both they were set to 10w and according to the reading were putting out 4.6v (4.58 actually for 2.2ohms @10w), BUT on the iStick the iClear was showing as 2.1 ohm which would mean it was actually putting out 4.69v.

I think PBusardo's review showed what the difference really meant, to be honest though the difference is not worth worrying about unless you get to the extremes of what it is supposed to be capable of ohm-wise

I think they are a great little tool, the perfect out and about mod.
The readings don't really worry me as i only use it between 3,3 and 3.5 volts.
It's just perfect with the mini nautilus,to stick in your pocket and not have to worry abot losing a load of money if anything happens.

I'm also thinking about the clone Hana,Trish has on the way.Just great for when you're out working.

From what I've read at low wattage settings the device

will not kick (?) down until the battery is partially discharged

even though the display reads the values that the user has set

@ Brynglas, I've been looking at apv's (clones) for days now

and the H ana caught my eye until I started reading the reviews and discussions on FT

there are a few too many instances of bad build quality i.e. loose wires,

hot glue rather than mechanical fixtures, loose 510 connector and varying resistance readings

on the same atty for my liking. The mvp v3 is due out any time soon and they've reportedly ironed out the minor

niggles with the v2 and given it more battery life, a smaller form factor and more power, so I'll be holding out for that

I've sent a note to Santa and everything

Yes, I remember Phil saying something about that in the review, but I don't go below 8w so not a problem for me.

Twas a brilliant find trish, and i am guessing they will sell out real quick.I love the box mods, much less effort than the mechs i have, and like yourself i will either put mine on e-bay, with the exception of two which are `kicked` Or just start a thread on here. They would be good for someone starting out with mechs. :)
They certainly have sold out fast! only a few red (Magenta) ones left! - at that price, it's a no brainer! My Spinner batteries cost more than these from FT and they've been a pain!

I have got two of the acrylic stands from ft, one for mechs, and one for juices and i am sure i will be able to modify them to hold my box mods. :)
I saw a two tier one at just the right size at FT, so ordered that. But, My pen/pencil desk tidy is clear acrylic and has two tiers on it ...it already has 2 MVP's, an iStick and two spinners in it ..in amongst the pens & pencils ..so, I'll move the pens/pencils to my larger desk tidy and put the rest of the iSticks in there instead!

So how many i-sticks will you have when your new ones arrive ??
How many? ...er 6

Should i send for a Pink one,so i've got the set?

It's a Magenta not pink - the pictures online are pretty inaccurate all round.

You should see the house they were in rent free! Big double fronted one with a mock portico. 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms I believe. When we heard that they were on benefits and both fit to work, it really annoyed us.
We really shouldn't worry ourselves over such things, but it's hard to ignore sometimes.

Yes, the ones in Madrid both wore two piece uniforms and hats, but the scary ones had a mid-green colour whereas the nicer ones had either black or navy.
In Paris, there are military types around a lot of places such as the Elysee Palace and they carry semi-automatic weapons. They do smile though!

I've had the CV one on the go for a while now, but have only just put the MBV one in a clearo to try it again, as I have left it alone for quite some time.

Think I'll stay with the CV one for now then ..thanks for trying them both! :)

I've had no problems with them ..odd misfires, but nothing annoying. The power thing is easy once you get used to it ..I find 1-1.5W less than an MVP2 is the way.
They're very good for what they cost. Neat yet solid with a reassuring weight to them.

Thanks for the heads up on istick at FT but already sold out.
Sorry, pink still in stock.
It's not a bad colour ...I'm not a 'pink' sort, and I like it.

I certainly like mine! I use mini Nautilus and MOW on them, but a mPT2 looks OK on them too.

I'm also thinking about the clone Hana,Trish has on the way. Just great for when you're out working.
I do think they're a neat and fuss free little thing. Not a bad price really ..there's far more expensive ones around.

I particularly wanted the red metallic ...just that 'magpie' thing
Nothing is perfect really, but hopefully mine will be OK.
