I was wide awake until 3.30 last night so it would be 4 by the time I got to sleep ...found it hard to wake up at 8.45 this morning! :( ...may not get to bed too early tonight either: the big dog isn't too well, which is very unusual for her. She used to get a seizure around the time the groomers came, and with the help of some milk peptide capsules before and after they come, we've got her through 20 months without one! It's usually in her food but she had none, so if she seems unsettled at all, I'll stay up until she's sleeping soundly. That dog means an awful lot to me!

It's not nice when our little friends are not well, hope she get's better soon

Ugh! I could never understand what anyone saw in him!

I liked most of his records, just didn't like the bloke himself

Oh look! a Christmas pudding! :2cool:

That's Terry on fire at 36mg

Well, at least you are obviously a lot better than you were, and the guys and gals will be glad to hear you are on the road to full recovery, bet the eGo is really helping :laugh:, but hopefully by Monday you will be back on the proper mods.

We have 4 hospitals

James Cook University Hospital <-- this was 1st I tried as it was closest to TS3
North Tees Hospital <-- then this one
Guisborough Hospital
Nuffield Private Hospital in Norton and this is the one I was in

Didin't know about last 2, although I think Trisha knows the Nuffield, seem to remember her mentioning it a couple of times in other messages

Morning all. Been awake since 7.50 this morning and on my first day off too
Aw! Is that force of habit with so many early starts lately? I think all the late finishes I've had in recent months is why I'm not sleeping properly.
This hasn't been a good 24 hours for getting decent sleep! It was going up to 5 by the time our doggie finally settled enough for me to go to bed, and the dratted gas meter chap rang the bell at 8am ...dogs barked and woke me up! Then I got woken again at 9 by a delivery sent to our address by our daughter in law as she's as work!!!
So, by the time I got up at 10am, I'd have managed perhaps 4 hours altogether!

That's what I'd do. I think FT class them as electronic parts or components on the CN22 don't they - not got an old FT package to hand at the moment.
Yes, on the CN22 it states Electronic Component and gives the value at $6.10 - weight 0.129.

I know it's the law for UK companies to cover the return postage if items are DOA, not sure about China though. But from what I've read FT are usually pretty good with returns, if a little slow.
Tracked is around £10, cheapest economy is around £3.60
They say they want quotations for cheapest ones both tracked & none tracked to Hong Kong (not Singapore as return address shown on label suggests), so unless the online ones will suffice, it means someone having to go to the post office, bring it back, me send info to FT & wait for their response, me pack it up to go, someone to go to the post office and fill out the CN22 & post it. Then we hold our breath & hope it gets there!
There's dire warnings about declarations being fully correct or things will end up back with the sender for non-compliance. Perhaps our own customs/postal service are stricter or more vigilant than Singapore/Hong Kong.

I've pointed all this out to them, plus the fact that three trips back and forth will add to the cost of returning the item, and asked why they cannot, according to their own knowledge of weight, size etc., produce a printable returns label with customs details already dealt with.

I think that once those iSticks get here (not in todays post despite being in the UK two days) - hopefully working! - I won't buy anything else electronic from them!

It's cos the guys at work are dopey bus drivers that torque everything down too tightly  A few of them put their toppers on that tight, they actually break the tank
Ah! that would take some force!

Hope your doggy's feeling better today Trisha. Nothing worse than a poorly animal. Our last dog had a lot of ear problems and he'd keep us awake some nights because of it.
Yes thanks, she's a lot better - bit quieter than usual, but better and eating again. She hadn't settled until the birds were singing! So I'm tired ...both of them woke me barking at the meter reader needing to be up the side path early this morning, and my first thought at hearing her was 'Good, she's OK' - and I went back to sleep for an hour.
This big black one is one of the biggest standard poodles in the country ...not the stereotypical skinny little thing with a silly haircut ...a proper hunting dog built like a little tank! She's 31KG. the breeder has deliberately bred them to the old standard for the breed, and Sophie's Dad is the biggest one in the country, and a Crufts champion. She's very special to us - and a giant size copy virtually of the medium size one we lost two weeks after my Dad died. To say I absolutely adore her is an understatement.

My Dad was a huge fan of Elvis the Pelvis
I didn't like the look of him at all!

Isticks back in stock at FT.
Just thought Trish might like another half a dozen :p
Hmm!

Good to hear from you Ron! Glad you're 'mending', and you'll no doubt be very glad to get back home! :)

It's not nice when our little friends are not well, hope she get's better soon
Thanks - we've had our share of serious illness with a couple of our dogs in the past 10 years, but apart from the seizures when the groomers come, she's a very fit and strong dog. So is the small one.

I liked most of his records, just didn't like the bloke himself
Yes - there's a few I liked, and perhaps if I'd never actually seen him, may have liked more!

That's Terry on fire at 36mg
Ohhh! ...think I'd prefer a Christmas pudding

You'd think with the NHS database costing the taxpayer such a phenomenal sum, they'd be able to track one patient within the system.
Never mind, at least you're OK Ron! :)

I've just had occasion to report a missing item from a delivery from fasttech

what a to do, they wanted 3 pictures and a signed affadavit from my grandmas' second cousin

all for a thirty bob packet of coils, has it never occurred to them that if I had wanted to cheat them

I could have opened the package, removed the coils then took said pictures  in the end I binned the

ticket

On a calmer note I tried the tiny rda with a single 1.8 ohm coil and I can see that with the options that dual coils

and a more powerful mod will give me it will be worthwhile upgrading so roll on the release of the mvp v3 and the

search is on for a decent dripper with post holes and a juice well to go with my orchids :vapor:

Picky aren't they! :(
They should photograph the contents in a clear bag ready to go into the mailing package!

Ian, now on my second build with "Bob" and not liking it one bit - 1st tried a prebuilt silica coil I had lying around, - dry hits -though I might have cut the ends too short, so took it apart and built a new coil 1.7 ohm and used cotton this time, put the ends down the channel and cut them level with the bottom, put the ring back on and a tiny bit of cotton showing below ring - still getting dry hits - no air bubbles when I draw without firing, but it does help

EDIT: having looked again, I have now thinned out the tails of the wicks (cut them diagonally from middle of end to side) and that has made the world of difference, not one dry hit.

Don't fill the tank right up until you have got it right because you have to drain it every time you need to get to the wick.
Was yours an A-Mod one??, mine came with a PMMA & Steel tank plus 3 drip tips, a steel one, & 2 black delrin ones, one wider bore than the other.

My Chefs Vapour concentrates arrived already! That was proper quick.

I paid for the £2 delivery option but they sent it £3.20 parcel instead which was nice of them. Included was a note explaining that if things have leaked I should have said and they would have replaced them. They didn't leak enough for me to bother them with replacing it (1 or 2 ml I reckon) but this time they put the bottles in plastic bags and tightly packed it.

Excellent, I shall have to get round to mixing them later!

Well Crap Again....:mad::mad::mad:
Got my AW icr 123 16340 protected battery's in today for the Billet Box Clone, dam if it ain't bad.
Put the adapter on to put my Lancia on it, soon as I screwed it on it started firing. Took the adapter out and checked it with a DVM and it has volts on the connector all the time. I emailed the supplier about it, but this really sucks.

Bob, It IS different than the youtube reviews. It does take a 35mm carto, and the voltage as checked on my DVM was 3.0v to 5.74v. If it didn't fire all the time I would be happy with it.

SSSShhhh George, don't tell her, she's already bought all of the last lot of stock. There'll be none left out of this batch too, if Trisha finds out

Odd one with FastTech:

Just ordered some BVC Nautilus coils, and at checkout, the payment option was greyed out for PayPal: PayPal unavailable due to: Authentic Aspire Nautilus Mini BVC Clearomizer Replacement Coil Head (5-Pack).

Wonder if FT are having issues with Aspire now. I know they had hassle from Hana before, hence all the Hana mods without the logos

Mine was just the basic "Bob" model, no extra tanks or drip tips mate. The only extra I got was the drip tip adaptor so I can use any tip on it.

I've been having problems with my "Bob". Built a 3mm coil with 26g kanthal at 1.2 ohms (so I could use it on the Provari). Wicked it with rayon and left the delrin AFC off, cos I wanted an airy draw. I did V cut the rayon with bare minimum in the channels. First few hits, absolutely wonderful. Took a few more, looked at the tank, a third of the juice had gone - bloody hell, this thing is thirsty. Few more hits and juices covering my fingers. "Bob" had a piddle on me

Took it apart, this time used more rayon for the tails, put the AFC ring back on, but wide open. Leaked again but not as bad. So "Bob" is now in the naughty box until tomorrow. I'm going to take the base apart to see what's going on. Shame, cos it looked great on my Red Vari, with the new red/black PMA tip I got :(

Hope your mixing goes well Adam. Have you got the "mad scientists" white lab coat to wear. This is an essential element to any mixing marathon and guarantees all your mixes will taste like angel's tears and unicorn breath  You can borrow mine if you want :D

Vapemail for terence today, sorry trish... i beat you :D Anyhoo It was my 2 I-sticks ( just ordered 3 more ) well spotted george.:) They never did send me an alert. And 2 of my orchids also arrived. Oh and before i forget my 6 mg juices from chefs also turned up. :)

Sooo, anyways, i cleaned the orchids while the i-sticks were charging, and decided to build one of them to put on my ipv. 8 wraps around a 2 mm bit, and it came in at 0.8 ohms. On to the ipv, and firing lovely, rayon wicks fitted and juiced up and test firing lovely.

Filled from the bottom, using the posset ( not steeped at all ) and bloody juice was leaking everywhere :( i must have lost 2 ml. so i put the fill screw back in, and went for a top fill, still lost a tiny bit of juice, but less than using the fill screw ! So back on to the mod, set at 15 watts to start with and had a blast. Now normally at this point i would say Mmm Mmm Mmm, but the posset tasted like menthol cough syrup  Regardless i really wanted to see what the ipv was capable of, so up to 35 watts  Gotta say the two together are great at making clouds, and i am guessing when my juices have steeped, it will be a fantastic vape.

Nearly forgot to also say that the i-sticks won`t recognize the low resistance coil of the orchid, but that was to be expected, is 1 ohm the lowest you can go on them ?
