Well, Terry asked me a while ago if I'd tried my bottle of Barbed Star from CV yet - I just did and it's not one for me.
I get a sort of mild, cooked rhubarb with the cool citrus, especially on the exhale, not a particularly noticeable aniseed.

Not often I feel pretty negative about one of theirs, in fact, most of them are brilliant!, but I'm not keen on this one.

Burnie
:vapor:

Some great photography there mate. The BB looks superb. The only reason I can think of for me not getting one is the battery size. If it took 350s or better still 650s I'd be hunting one down right now :D

Which one, I like the Strawberry and the Raspberry ones, don't drink Whisky of any kind, so you can keep the JD, I've not had any problems with the AFC on the "Bob" so don't know why yours is leaking from there, suggest taking the whole thing to bits making sure all o-rings are on correctly and then putting it back together again, see this video for how to do it.

To be honest Bob, I like them all. Tried the pear first on holiday and really enjoyed it so got the strawberry, that was lovely too. The one I had left in the fridge was the berry one - lasted all of 2 minutes  I've been a fan of JD for years now, I hate normal whisky, but the JD bourbon just has something about it - as smooth as an angel's armpit

I've seen that vid, thanks mate. I've not touched the atty today, but I will be doing tomorrow after Lewis Hamilton gets crowned F1 champion :D

What the heck are you feeding that plant on Burnie

I can only grow Egos on mine

I keep trying to grow a money tree, but the Wife keeps on nicking the fruit

Do you need to use the 'foreign' adaptor? I'm just using a white standard UK 3 pin 1000MA USB adaptor plug - think it came from Ireland with an istick I got there.

I've got some Kopparberg Pear Cider in the garage keeping cool! ...son & his wife came and we had a bottle of Black Stump with steak in red wine sauce, rosemary baby roast potatoes and broccoli & carrots. Chocolate cream gateau & coffee ice cream for dessert! :) Lovely bottle of wine! Got a case of 12 from Laithwaites with a good 40% introductory discount!

I may not need the adaptor to be honest Trisha. The one I've got, I think, came with a charger I got from TW ages ago for my 14500 batteries. The charger, even though it was a decent one, got binned on my last clear out. The nitecore charger I've got does all battery sizes, plus I've got a back up charger too.

That sounds like a superb meal Trisha. I like the Kopparberg, because it's not a sharp cider like some others.

First point of entry to the uk trish, and as our bob is down there he should get his first. :)

It's just not fair is it mate. We shouldn't have to wait for our new toys, they should fly them into Manchester specially for us

The past week, I've had none of the PG/VG ones I usually mix around 15-20% with a max VG one, and the eczema patches that appeared in the past couple of months on my face have just about gone! My gums aren't sore at times anymore either. Both signs of my PG intolerance even at that lowish level ...and although even VG and flavours can/do affect me a bit, I haven't had a problem with breathing every day as I was doing in the past month!

I'm really glad to hear things are looking up a bit Trisha :)

Anyone...where can i buy some Rayon?Had a look around but all seem out of stock.Failing that,i'll have to go for ... cotton.

George, if you get stuck mate, just give me a yell. I bought a 365 metre box, enough to last 3 lifetimes  I can quite easily pop some in the post, but be warned my postage times are about as slow as FT, just ask Terry

Been busy doing my chores today

Did manage to rewick the RM2/Reo, a couple of Kayfuns and got to have a play with the Rose.

Watched a couple of vids on the Rose, seems I was wicking it wrong, as well as filling it wrong :( First build I did with rayon, I was splitting the rayon to come out of the two wick holes on each side. As soon as I opened the juice control a little it was flooding.

Ended up doing a 10 wrap coil with 26g kanthal, 3mm diameter at 1.2 ohms. Fitted the coil into the ceramic cup and then into the atty base, tightened it all up and the usual fire and squeeze etc. Then got a 4 inch length of rayon, ran it through the coil (this was the hardest part). At the point where the rayon came out of the first juice channel, I folded it back on itself so it went back into the coil chamber. Then ran it out of the other juice channel, folded it back on itself again and back into the chamber. Trimmed it off leaving a 3mm tail and tucked this down into the chamber. Then repeated this on the side. I was a bit dubious about this working, the chamber is literally stuffed with rayon now, almost like a "cotton cloud" set up, but the coil isn't covered at all. Plus I was a bit worried, because rayon doesn't normally like sharp bends.

Next filling, I'd been top filling like a Kayfun. In the vids, they were bottom filling like a Taifun, then screwing the atty base onto the chimney and tank section as one whole unit.

Filled up with the last of my moo juice - the rest has been wasted through leaking attys :(

Popped the Rose on the IPV2, fully expecting leaks or dry hits. So far I've vaped 1/3 of a tank and it's still behaving. Hardly any gurgling, the juice control is now open about 2 full turns. At 15 watts, this thing is an absolute

FLAVOUR MONSTER

I can honestly say, flavour wise, it's better than a Kayfun, yes really :D

It was nice, and that Black Stump wine is an extremely good fruity red, and one of the few that a glass doesn't make my eyes want to close! Must be a really well made one.

Yes! regional deliveries! :)

I'm really glad to hear things are looking up a bit Trisha :)
Just had to take a tablet :( ....I thought my rainbow sherbet one from NT (a max VG one) would have sat long enough to be really good ...and it is - but the high volume citrus fruits in it are way too bad for me, and gave me a problem after just 10 minutes! Think it's got a lot of lime in it. So, no more of that for me! Such a shame as I really like it!
I seem to get a bit of touble for a couple of days each week, and think it's down to a combination of VG and even the low levels of PG & flavouring building up to a level that triggers something pretty much like an asthma attack - if I catch it quickly enough it calms down.
It does hack me off at times, but I keep plodding on! I know for certain I have around 6 from Chefs that never give me much trouble - probably more when I re-visit a few!
Think I need to sort out some favourite Velvet Cloud ones for such times too - haven't used them much for a while. Nightshift is a good one for a start :)

Hmm, i`m glad i didn`t order any of that now, i didn`t like the sound of it anyway. Sorry for the punch on the nose trisha, i thought i was posting to Ian.
Oh really? ....not sure what to say to that ....
Yes, unusual to get a CV one that really doesn't work for me, but that doesn't. Never mind - I'm sure we'll get more in the future.

Right - time for a cup of tea and one of those big triple chocolate cookies from Tesco's bakery! :D

Not really a fan of wine, unless it's free and I'm already half-cut

Hope I haven't jinxed things for you Trisha. I'm just hoping that the times between tablets get further and further apart.

A full tank didn`t even put a dent in the battery mate. :toast:

City centre or the Trafford centre mate ?? Hope you remembered my prezzie

Seriously though, I hate the area around Piccadilly or Shudehill the most. Driving anywhere round there is a bloody nightmare.

Glad the iStick lasts so long mate. I'm thinking of trying one during the day at work, instead of the Vmod. Will make a nice change from the Vmod
