I'll send you this 6mg next week Terry - that'll knock it back a bit.
Would custard or Sweet Cream help with that?

Thanks trisha, i have got your mod stand all clean and ready to be packed tomorrow :) Twill be posted on monday ! That`s what i have been doing with the strudel, just a bit of cream mellows it out nicely, but when i get the 6 mg from you, and mix it with my 18, it should be perfect on it`s own. :)

'@ Terry & and Ian could I ask what you think of your ipv

and whether they are the revised model ? TIA

I got mine from grey haze vinnie, One of THESE It is very very good indeed. The only problem i had was the usb connector seems to have come loose, so i can`t charge that way. But having said that i prefer to use my charger anyways.:) Not sure where ian got his from, but they are really good mate, and certainly put the power out. !

The one I'm looking at is £65 delivered and includes an efest 2500 35 amp battery

Good price, but that battery is over-rated it is only 20A Continuous and 35A Pulse although some reckon it is good to 30A, I wouldn't go below a 0.5 ohm build with it though to be on the safe side. JOOI where from?

EDIT: Ignore all that Vince, I see that Adam mentioned about the batteries and you said later where from

So how many new coffee ones have you got to try trish, apart from the one you mentioned ? I would like to try a different one other than the MBV, just for a change. :)

MBV Morning Vape - (coffee amaretto) only tried this because Cloud House do 5ml trial sizes
MBV Caramel Coffee - again, a 5ml trial size.

Indigo Five Bucks - coffee cream caramel
Indigo Dawn to Dusk - black coffee tobacco

SNG Double Black - sweet black coffee tobacco
SNG Cheerio Java - Cappuccino vanilla Irish cream

HHV Mocha Java - sweet coffee chocolate
HHV Serendipity - a NET tobacco with flavours of black coffee/tea cocoa

Highbrow Cappuccino diablo - robust coffee
Highbrow Tiramisu - mascarpone espresso and bitter chocolate

Most of them are in 5ml bottles, so a good size to try.

Just tried building my KFL+ v2 for the DNA40, tried the 0.25mm first and popping the coil right in the middle, so ended up doing 10 wraps of 0.45mm round a 3mm mandrel and got 0.09 ohms:

2014-11-30 11.34.56.jpg

fitted it on the KFL+ v2 got the coils glowing nicely whilst squeezing together and put some Rayon in fitted it all together and filled it up with my mixed Lemon Bar/Sweet Cream and tried to vape with it - NOTHING - looked at display and it was saying something about "xxx down the same as up" can't remember what the xxx was - so emptied the tank took it apart and tried firing it - no problems - put it all back again but without filling it and it still fired okay, filled it up and now working fine @ 30w and 410°F although the tank gets a bit warm if I vape too much one after the other, probably because of the low ohms, probably be better if chain vapers use the steel tank rather than the PolyC one.

You could do with a small dripper with all that tasting you do
just change out the wick, give it a rinse & dry and you're good to go
with your next juice, I have an Igo-L for the same purpose
I did get one of the small ones but found it fiddly and also that they taste different to when in a tank. I'm happy enough putting a ml or so in a tank to try. I only tend to try one or two at a time anyway.
I tend to use them in a tank that has had a similar flavour in it: a couple of draws and the old flavour is gone. Seeing these are coffee ones, I'll use the same tank until I've tried them all, then any that seem good I'll put a fresh coil in and re-try them.

RE: my problem with the DNA40, I have found the answer in a POTV thread:

Atomisers - when you fit an atomiser the DNA 40 board looks at the resistance the first time you press the fire button and uses it as a "Baseline" It then uses that baseline resistance to work out how hot the coil has become once you fire it (Nickels resistance increases as it heats - you can see this if you turn the temp control off and dry fire a coil repeatedly until it glows, if you watch the display whilst doing that you will see how the resistance increases sometimes by 0.3 ohms or so).
If you start with a freshly coiled cold atty then it should automatically recognise that without any help. Sometimes though the resistance of your new coil will be very close to the resistance of you old coil or if (and I'm not 100% sure about this) you've changed attys very quickly then the DNA 40 may not be sure about the coil, it may then ask you "New coil Up, Same coil down" Only press down if you've just unscrewed the atty for a second or two after firing the atty, this means that the DNA 40 will use the previous "Baseline" reading to control the temperature, if it's not the same atty and you've pressed down then the baseline will be wrong and the temperature controll will be wrongly calibrated.

So all I had to do was press down as it was the same coil, as I had taken the atty off in order to fill the tank  or I could have pressed up as long as the coil was cold for it to re-assess the baseline

Hmm, the only two i think i would try trish is the last two. The cappacinno, and the tiramisu. let us know what they are like and i will get a couple of samples :) Oh and i have just packed up your mod stand. I have made the package nice and sturdy so you should get it in one piece

Sounds like a lot of faffing about to me bob ! Is that because you are using nichrome wire, or would it be the same with kanthal ? I have been having a bit of bother with my kayfun mini as well. I have the coffee and cream in it, and the wicking has been awful. A few draws on it, then getting dry hits ( not nice )

I am hoping i have now solved it by putting less rayon in, and the wick ends barely touching the top of the juice channels. I think it was just too much rayon, and with the coffee/cream being a thick liquid it was just blocking the channels ! We will see.

It's because it is all very new and a learning curve and yes, this is with the Nichrome 200, which is all you can use in order to use the temperature control, if you use Kanthal or normal Nichrome then it will only work in normal wattage/voltage mode, but the difference is amazing, what actually happens is, while you are vaping the temperature of the coil goes up until it reaches what you have set it to, it then automatically adjusts the wattage down/up to stop it exceeding that temperature.

As for the Mini KF - with rayon less needed than with cotton and I have found the best way for any KF is to feed the wicks up through the chimney bottom then once you have it screwed down cut them so they are just a bit more than the top of the chimney then poke them down on to the deck, making sure it doesn't obstruct the channels before putting the top half of the chimney on, I have CV Mint Choc Vapetto 50/50 in mine which is also a thickish liquid
