Thanks very much for the offer bob, thats very kind of you sir :) I will be fine for a while though, so no need to bother. If i am honest, i found the captain custard just as nice as grants, and the digby`s smells good as well. When i opened it this Morning  I was surprised to see how dark the colour was. I don`t know if they pre-steep theirs, but it is looking good.

That's cos the morning light changed the look of the juice

Sorry, guys, I just realized I'm in the UK forum. I didn't notice that when I first posted about fasttech.

You can stay if you want. My last FT order is in exactly the same situation as yours, we can have a race - see who's parcel gets posted first

We don't mind playing across the pond, quite a few pop in to speak to us.

Glad to hear it. I used to frequent the base store that the Royal Air Force guys ran in Saudi Arabia (Prince Sultan Air Base). They were a good bunch and they always had the all the good stuff. [emoji4]

That's totally wrong of the Council to expect you to go without leccy for that long Bob. What if you needed to use the phone in an emergency and had no mobile - most cordless phones have to be plugged in to the electric as well as the phone line to work. Totally out of order in my opinion, they should provide some sort of back up power if it's off for that long.

I did see your note about the site address mate, cheers for that :)

cordless phone - what's one of them then  I have 2 corded phones 1 downstairs 1 upstairs so no problem on that front, the one downstairs & the cordless one is actually connected to my Router|Modem so that I can screen calls and stop them being used for high charge calls, the upstairs one is in my room so has access to everything

That sounds like a lovely mix, I'll have to try mixing some up

and get the guinea pig to try it :laugh:

To be honest Adam, a lot of the stuff I've had from FT has needed some form of modding. Guess that's the price we pay for such cheap stuff.

If it's just a small job, I don't mind too much though.

Yeah I'll try sanding down the base of the AFC barrel, it should only need 0.1mm or 0.2mm off it I think to give it another quarter of a turn. What kind of sandpaper or wet and dry would be good for that do you reckon? I would guess some fairly fine grain wet and dry would do the job as I want a smooth finish at the end and it won't need much coming off I don't think.

I still think it's wrong they expect you to be without power for so long. What if you desperately had to charge up some batteries for a mod - now that would be an emergency

The guinea pig would never speak to me again

Yeah Adam a fine grade about 100 should be fine, you know the score though mate, a bit of sanding check it, bit more sanding check again. I wouldn't use a dremmel or anything like that, if you only need a small amount taking off. Just make sure the sand paper is on a flat surface, so you sand the barrel evenly. Most clones don't use a really high grade stainless, so you should have the job done in no time mate.

Yes, ..not too sure about bananas myself, but the other two sound good! :) Perhaps a little cream or custard instead of bananas for me!

I agree, that's a long time, especially in winter!
When an electrician came to change our dist. panel, he brought a generator that kept my computer, phone and a kettle going for 5 hours, and at least it was summer. Shame!

That sounds like a lovely mix, I'll have to try mixing some up
I had a feeling you'd say that!

Cheers mate that is pretty much what I thought I'd do, thanks for the paper recommendation :toast:

Other than that it's a nicely machined clone. Cleaned it with soapy water and a toothbrush as per usual but couldn't spot any flecks of metal or burrs.
