If that dual 18650 GGTS extension is actually three top pieces put together, or is it different in design?

Trying to find reasons to justify buying it since making the GGTS that much longer does not appeal to me so much.

Last time it was up it was 3 top tubes and I havn't seen any mention of a new design so I would say it is safe to gues it is 3 pieces.
