Hiya kwill...
Dig around in here and you'll find a few extraction techniques:
DIY E-Liquid

I recently made my own extract, a chai tea, using pg and a crockpot. Its not shabby at all, though a little light in the final mix. One of the issues, maybe THE issue, is getting your extract concentrated enough to have a good final flavor. I don't know that using fresh fruits could get you even close. It took me a few tries with mine, using dried materials and layering several rounds. Its messy and time consuming but i consider it good fun and an invaluable learning experience. You got to start somewhere! Keep detailed notes of your process and materials, and good luck!

I'm pretty curious about this as well. I have my doubts, since you would have to get the extract's particulates super small, make sure it isn't gummy, and suspend it in something that vapes. I think it would mainly be work that you would need a lab for.

Incidentally, someone on another forum mentioned he tried using an orange flavoring (for food) to make eliquid and ended up getting a mouthful of citric acid, which he obviously didn't like too much (meaning it burned the .... out of him). Trial and error I suppose, no pain no gain.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll try a 50/50 mix of pg/ vodka, and mix with a puree of my fruit/beans. I'm going to try tamarand first. It's a very strong flavored friut (or is it a bean?), so I think it should make a decent extract.

Many commercial juices have alcohol extracts in them, it will generally give you stronger flavor. A personal preference for not using alcohol made me try using just pg to extract, and it worked. Probably not as well as if i had used alcohol to begin with, but i am pleased enough to try it again.
