Anyone own a Skarabaeus ( reg, not Pro) by Taifun?

Hello everyone,

I know this is not a VW or box mod, and its old and has been discontinued. Its been replaced by the Pro. I hope someone out there can help me out with this nice mod

I just bought a used one and its gorgeous and its 23mm. Got it yesterday and Im in love. Its an odd device as its basically a side/ top firing tube mech with some electronics to fire it with a button. SO its not a true mech and definitely not regulated.

I just want to know any details others who have this can share. The FB page is in German and dont seem to understand I want information. They have a PDF manual for the Pro but I can only find it in German.

I know I have seen photos of the switch taken apart and also it can be upgraded to the Pro module ( sets wattage?) so there have to be some sort of instructions somewhere.

If anyone can help me out , Id love to know more about it, especially the switch. I cleaned everything I could including the brass contact inside that touches the battery top. I also cleaned the 510 contact.

I can see a lot of muck around the little button so Its killing me not to clean it. I just dont want to damage it.

I finally got a reply on FB Skarabaeus page. They said not to immerse or try to take the button apart. I was told to use a soft brush to remove any debris. I did use a touch of 99% iso alcohol.

Im really loving the Skarabaeus, it hits hard and looks so nice paired with the Taifun GSL.
