I hear malt is suppose to be the flavor, but the only malt I can find is the kind used in brew making which is really sugary. =bad for atties. So just wondering if anyone else has been able to find a good recipe for this juice. Thank you.
So I tried asking the dude that runs Backwoodsbrew and asked about flavoring in his malt juice, and he was about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine.

EcoPure is malt flavored? A good place to buy ethyl maltol is also ecigexpress. Their "signature" line is also Flavor (Perfumer's) Apprentice and you are looking for cotton candy flavor.
wrong malt, I'm pretty sure we're talking malt extract to replicate the flavor and not a sweetener. I think Stosh is on the right track.
Nope. The Wench and Apri are on the right track.
.... I would be curious what Stosh's malt juice tastes like....
Cignots carries it too.
The TA was just a guess based on the description and the ingredients of the Fresh. I've not had much experience with the Rich. They all seem to be light, so I don't think it takes a whole lot of flavoring..
When I get some extra cash I'm going to try this; EM dissolved into VG (if it doesn't dissolve well in VG, dissolve into DW then add to Vg+nic juice. DW would also help thin it out a little which could also contribute to the "clean" taste people get from ECOpure) then add some barley flavor from FA as well as some of the vape wizard for some extra body. Sound good peeps?
In the interest of science and DIY, and because I have some malt extract left over from DIY beer brewing.
I dissolved some brewer's malt extract in PGA, and added 1/2 mL to 4 1/2 mL unflavored 30mg nic juice, and
vaping it on a 306 atty at 3.7v, and it does have a distinct malt flavor, very nice. Long term atty damage yet
to be determined. (306 cleans up easy enough) but no discernible reside left so far.
interesting idea.
I wonder if you could do the same thing with all grain. Maybe add some crystal 120 for a darker, more molassesy taste, crystal 20 for a lighter taste. Might warrant further investigation. Next time I brew, I might take out a syringe of the mash before boiling and experiment.
Further, I wonder what vaping wort would taste like. You'd get the hops flavor as well as the malt.
Your wort would probally be too dilute to use as a juice flavoring, unless you boiled the all grain
down to the concentration of a malt extract. Hmmm, maybe a hop tea to add some interesting
flavor to my juice, thinking, East Kent Goldings, one of my all time favorites.

good point, boiling down to a higher OG might be necessary. I've never seen an IPA juice before, I wonder what the heat would do to the alpha acids?
