Anyone replicate ECOpure?

lol why are you mad about what I said? It just seems weird that people are sensing menthol when you are saying it is nothing but EM. It also seems weird that there is going to be talk of throat hit from just VG and water, plus their relatively low nic content. Maybe igetcha is like, "Hmm, quite a bit different than other tobacco flavors", just because they claim there is a hint of tobacco in it.

This is made by the same people who run FAUK.IT with their misleading sampler packs of Flavor Art flavors. They make it seem like you are getting 5ml samples, but it is really just a few drops to go along with their ECOpure. I'd be really surprised if there is nothing but EM in this... but I will try it eventually. Also, do you have some EM you can look at? My 30ml Cotton Candy is nearly clear, so how is the ECOpure so dark?

There is also a flavoring though. They count water and VG as one ingredient. Aqueous Glycerin. They also metion on cignot that they use food safe flavoring. I'm wondering if it is the "barley malt" flavor that FA used to carry. They used to have two, barley flavor and barley malt. I wonder why they pulled the barley malt flavor? Exclusivity to ECOpure? If you check Liberty flights FA section, they still have the barley malt listed but is always out of stock. Hhhmmm perhaps not, but I like to make myself feel like I am part of a big secret detective style mystery lol. I think I'm starting to think too hard about this, remember Kizzle, SIMPLE is key!

You're right about the Aqueous Glycerin. I don't know where people are seeing these things, but that makes sense to count those two as 1 ingredient.

I just bought a bunch of FA flavorings from someone who got them months ago and part of it is 10ml of Barley malt. Intellicig has arranged something now, as I said, and sells their stuff as FAUK.IT, so what you are saying is actually plausible.

I was supposed to get one of their samplers free (well, 3 pounds to US) and I was going to add on to my order, thinking that the samples were actual full bottles. Luckily someone pointed it out to me before I got them. I got my money back, but the guy who runs Intellicig was a jerk to me and tried to send less than what I should get. Places like this need to go out of business.

Here's what I got on malt extract and maltol:

There's some more info here. And this is the supplier they list for it, though it's probably a quite common product. Whatever FA makes hopefully wouldn't have sugars. I'll definitely give this a try once I get it.

Also: Happy Vaper seems to still have the stuff for sale and there is a review of various flavors here... This guy says 1 drop per 5 ml... even less than he is putting for other flavors.

I would like to know how close the barley and barley malt taste side by side. 1 drop per 5ml! Wow must be strong. I can't find any flavorings or products for that matter anywhere on fauk.it. apri, did you get both barley and barley malt? Id like to know how similar they are. If barley malt is no longer available and that is what's used, we won't be able to make a sustainable supply for personaly vaping.

Maybe that URL doesn't actually work. Try here. They don't have any barley I think. Yes, I got both barley and barley malt coming. Even though ethyl maltol is widely used, I don't see why we couldn't be using plain maltol as well. It's 4-6x weaker than EM but probably, like EM, will dissolve more in PGA. You barely need much EM in mixes anyhow, so it ought to work somehow. Those "vegetative/grainy" descriptors from the Fenaroli's guide I put above jive with being able to pass the flavor off as a sort of tobacco, and also with the "nutty" descriptor I believe that igetcha69 gave.

just read this in another thread from Mamu

""""""" I wouldn't use Walmart or CVS or Walgreens stuff - just read the label and you'll know why.

I've found LorAnn's glycerine to be tops with vapor and consistency.

Mix it with distilled water and grain alcohol (Everclear) and a little ethyl maltol and you have intellicig.com's ECOpure

She's been a BIG help to a lot of people. Give it a try at least for a base to get close :)

Aprioristic, any follow up on the barley?

I'll try to do something by this weekend. After complaining about FAUK, they somehow managed to ship one of those sample things, so I can try their plain mixing liquid I guess. I'll pull 10ml to mess around with and save 10 until I have actually tried the Rich, if ever. I got some (not ethyl) maltol crystals to see what they are like too.

I guess what I should do is... Assuming that barley malt is what they are using, try to copy barley malt by adding stuff to barley, since it is easier to get than the barley malt. I can try to get the amount of water/EM in their ECOpure stuff too. After that I really can't do more than guess at what Rich tastes like.

For the people asking me about barley: I honestly didn't take great notes when I messed around with it and that was weeks ago. The same "barley" is definitely what is in the barley malt. The malt has some sort of deep syrupy type flavor about it and not like malted milk. The barley part is more like a cereal grain to me and not the hay/straw/beer or whatever you were asking about.

Thanks for the follow up. If you still have extra to trade PM me

Probably not unfortunately because the barley malt doesn't seem to be made anymore, or the only place that has it is Happy Vaper in Canada. Your best bet on Barley might be liberty flights, or that is the only other place I see that has it. I could do 3ml trade, but your problem is having flavors I don't already have which is only a few random ones from FA. Feel free to PM me your list though.
