I am new to vaping and was considering trying to make my own DIY ejuice but after reading up on it and seeing how dangerous the ingredients are I think I may hold off. I have 3 little ones 3 years old and younger so having this stuff around may not be the best idea. However I would like to pay DIY prices. I was just wondering if there is anyone who sells their DIY mixes at pretty inexpensive prices? I'd prefer someone who at least know what they're doing so I don't get some toxic blend or horrid tasting juices. Any info would be appreciated. If I posted this somewhere I shouldn't have I apologize. let me know where I should post it and I can move it. Thank you and Happy New Year!

Also does this Forum have a messaging system? Like where someone can send you personal messages or where I can see when ppl answer my thread and can get back to my posts easily? Thank without having to try to remember where I posted this thread? Thanks.
Nevermind about the personal messages I just found it.

Yes it has a messaging system, and as for the diy ingredients if you keep them put up out of the reach if your children it wouldn't be too bad, but I understand where you are coming from, my 3yo nephew comes over quite often but I haven't had any problems keeping my supplies put away.

Also there are thread tools at the top off the page, if you subscribe to your thread whenever you come back you can view your subscriptions in an easy to find list

If you buy 36mg nic its not much stronger than a strong ejuice . Any ejuice would be toxix for a small child though so as long as you keep it away like how you do with your ejuices it shouldnt be a problem . Its not much of a safety issue for yourself as long as your cautious . I havent spilled even a drop of nic since i started and it would take getting a bit on you to be dangerous . The warnings are mostly being cautious because it is dangerous if you get enough on you but its pretty easy to work with unless your mixing like a animal lol .Basically just into the syringe out to the dropper bottle then syringe into jar of water .its pretty hard to get on you like that.

Really all you'd need to do is keep your nic in any area that the children can't get to...that's the ONLY thing that is hazardous. Then don't mix until bed or naptime, which is a good idea anyway because you won't be distracted and can actually enjoy the process. Clean up well after each session (a GOOD hot water rinse in the sink of all supplies renders them harmless really) and make sure to put that nic back into its' safe area. Everything but the nic is food grade, so as long as you're careful with that you will be FINE! If you're vaping and have flavored juices you already have a dangerous substance around right? I mean heaven forbid your children getting ahold of a bottle of juice!

As for ppl selling their juices, I'm pretty sure it's against the ecf rules to do that here unless you're a registered supplier, so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. You can check the classifieds for decent sales, watch for vendor sales, etc to save money on juice, or try diy which is imo the way to go, but whatever you do, nic in ANY form (diy, juice) is hazardous. :2c:

If I had to do it all over again-this is what I would do.......

Read the recipe threads and note the creators of the juices that sound like you will like them, or ones that get a lot of positive responses from other members that have made them. PM or post in the thread asking the creator or others if they'd be willing to make a trade for a sample bottle of their juice. DTs, cartos, atty whatever-everyone needs hardware supplies. I often see the great members of this forum offering up samples of their juices to others. Once you get your samples and find the ones you like-THEN purchase the DIY supplies to make those recipes so you know you're only buying flavors you like and will use. Once your nic arrives make sure you have large empty bottles on hand and dilute it down to your vaping level immediately. This way you don't have high mg nic laying around the house, and of course lock it up out of reach anyway. At least this way your DIY stuff won't be any more dangerous than the juice you're already vaping.

I offer this idea because-I wish I'd done it. I have TONS of flavors from tpa, loranns, inawera, and capella. I have a lot of money invested in DIY. So far the end result is ONE juice recipe that works for me that I can make repeatedly and continue to want to vape it. I keep trying recipes-have 3 sample bottles I made yesterday in front of me now that I'm dripping, but none of them are ones I'd want to make again. For some people DIY seems to come really easily but for me it's a struggle. And I'm a great cook-go figure!

ETA: matter of fact, think I'm gonna go search for the lady who gave the recipe I like and see if she's got others she'd be willing to share since we might have similar tastes........

I was in your shoes a few days ago...HATED all the flavors I had, couldn't mix a vapable (to me) juice even following recipes others said were good. The only thing I'd mixed that I actually liked was peppermint, straight up, nothing fancy, and some coffee extracts I'd made myself. I was ready to give up on diy and vape straight unflavored juice, which I don't mind. To be honest though, I couldn't STAND any of the juices I'd purchased either, though I'd not tried a whole lot ...maybe 5 or 6 different companies before I went diy.
THEN I got my order of Capellas' flavoring! See, I TOO am a good cook! I loooove to eat good food, and there's very little I won't eat! I adore baked goods, and make great homemade donuts, cakes, I even make a great sourdough bread, so why couldn't I make a great tasting juice?! Because the flavorings taste NOTHING like they're supposed to that's why! Most of them taste like perfume, and I've tried a few that taste like vomit...straight up. I got 6 Capella's flavors, tried them ALL the day I bought them and immediately ordered 6 more. Just as soon as I've tried all that I might have any interest in, I plan to start over and buy the BIGGEST bottles I can get my hands on (it's the only flavor company that's made me consider buying another of anything) !

Sorry to go on, but I soooo know how you feel. They were having a 6/$20 sale...and their sample sizes are 13ml, way bigger than anyone elses. You'd be doing yourself a favor, and you just might find yourself as excited about diy as I suddenly am :)

I got my 6 capellas flavors in last week. Yesterday I mixed up 2 recipes that combined capellas with tpa, and I still have that artificial flavor. The apple pie recipe was all capellas. And it's not great. Not perfumey tasting but not great. I'm "hoping" that I just don't have the percentages right for my taste, and I may be able to tweak it some. I had really high hopes for capellas due to all the raving that's been going on lately. I'm still holding out some hope that these 6 flavors will work out. I've heard sooooo much about the CDS that I think my next attempt will be trying that one all by itself. Wish me luck! LOL

Wow...that shocks me! I haven't tried tha apple pie yet, but it's ordered and on it's way. CDS?
I mixed up the vanilla custard right off the bat, smell was so incredible I HAD to, and I started at drop per ml as I tend to not care for a real strong flavor. Well that was perfection, but I was so excited I couldn't let it go, so I added 2 drops of butter, and 2 drops pumpkin pie spice. Again, AWESOME. Then today while I was vaping it, I decided it might be really good to add some MORE van. custard so I added another drop per ml and to my surprise, I actually LOST flavor! It's creamier, but I lost all but a hint of the pp spice (which was expected), and the vanilla custard flav rather than getting stronger, or perfumey like anything else would have, actually decreased!

I mixed cranberry (capellas) with some discountvapors apple and tpa champagne, again awesome! I mixed up the choc brownie at 10% but haven't had the guts to try it yet (bad history w/chocolates and I'm skeeered!) lol! And I got caramel, which smells heavenly, but I thought I'd hold off on that one until either I need to add something to the brownie, or my apple pie gets here. Anyway, so far I've been MORE than happy with all of them! I'll have to look back at te capellas' thread out of curiousity and see if you listed what you bought. ;)

Hello Guys!

I really like this thread and seems to be interesting. I am doing more and more research about DIY but I am really afraid to spend a ton of money on tons of flavors and end up not using them.

I prefer tabacco flavors and a few dessert flavors with vanilla, caramel, cinnamon. More sweet is better for me (at least so far).

I am trying alot of RY4 flavors but I would like to reduce the nic level on a few of them and get them more sweet that they came from the vendors.

Do you guys think its possible ?
Does it worth to start DIY considering what I am trying to achieve?

Jump in, the waters fine..

What I did... bought 100mg 100%PG from MYFREEDOMSMOKES.. Best deal around.. Great service..

Then I mixed it down to a batch (50ml) of 24mg, 70PG/30VG with NO FLAVOR!!! I use this as my base juice..

Then, I started mixing up a GRAPE and once that tasted great, I added a little SWEETNER... Guess what, I have an awesome Grape... I could vape this all day... But, I still like some of my other favorites... Like NINJA, OurY4, etc... I'll work on recreating them as I go. But, I decided that working on single flavors to get the hang of that first may result in more successes than failures... and tossed NIC juice.. It's working, so far...

Once I had the 24mg NIC Base, I used a 3ml bottle and found that 6 drops of GRAPE and 4 drops Sweetener were perfect and then replicated that in a 10ml batch which we're vaping right now...

We found onestopdiyshop to have excellent prices, excellent communication/service, and excellent inventory selection. The GRAPE and SWEETNER is 'The Flavor Apprentice' professional series. I do recommend buying a larger bottle of the SWEETENER.. You'll like its effect... I suspect I'll be using it in many concoctions... Especially the fruits.. I bought a huge number of flavors and will be experimenting as time goes on.

I felt that thinking we could mix up some complex combo's and get anything worth vaping to be to aggressive a start. As I get older I like more successes than failures... ha ha ha

I wouldn't hesitate even a little bit to invest in your future in vaping.. Use the commercial mixes for the bulk of what you do now and start learning how to make what you really like for later.. Sound like a good plan?

Good luck!
