I have two AGA T2 plus tanks that I don't use anymore. I had real issues making the SS mesh wicks, and ended up buying them premade. I just didn't like the Genesis-style tank experience at all. Had to do the Genny Tilt, and leakage if tipped over, not a carry out and about type of tank. Once I got my Kayfun Lite Plus the Genny's got put in the storage drawer. I kinda hate the thought of giving them away because I don't know if I might need them one day post vape apocalypse.

I think you are wise to keep them around, none of us know what's coming down the road and we may have to resort to hardware cast aside in the future. I keep all the clone mechs and disused gennies I have as a hedge against the possible future.

It has been my candid observation over some time that there are those who can roll a mesh wick, and those who cannot, no matter how hard they try. GrimmGreen cannot. He told me he tried 40+ times and gave up in disgust. I think it must be a genetic thing. Others get it going perfect on the 2nd or 3rd wick. So I guess you are either a mesh person, or not, and if not there's nothing you can do about it but go another route.

I found nothing difficult at all about rolling a Mesh wick................The damn leaky tanks simply did not fit my lifestyle. Fine for sitting around on a Table Top but a pain for working the yard.

I was a die hard mesh genny user for a couple years. In fact, for me, they were my 'gold standard' by which I judged other devices, as they came along, like Kayfuns, Taifuns, Squapes, etc. I only set the gennys aside when I began dripping, and eventually using bottom feeders and REOs. These met my 'gold standard'. I'm a pack rat, so I still have my genies and tube mods packed away. I've never gotten into the 'buy and sell' thing. I still have a couple DIDs, Krakens, Cobras, z-Attys, Bliss, AC9, and probably some RSSTs, AGA-Ts, along with a couple Poldis, GPs, Rollers, Nanos, etc.
I have so much stuff packed away, I'm sure I could vape forever. I think I even have a few sq. ft. of mesh somewhere.

I like variety so I mix it up alot. Maybe a couple days with my REOs, then I'll hit the RSST or ZAP for a while, use the dripper in the morning with my tea or at night watching the tube. I like my Protanks so I'll bring a fresh one while out doing my errands, or maybe a Nautilus or Kabuki... I'ts nice to have so many choices, heck I didn't even mention the Kafuns and Russians...Yeah, I'll be set for a couple years anyways, vaping however I please :D

All this talk and reminiscing got me to look at the geekvape Avocado. Velocity style build deck with 4 holes to put the wicks down into a tank. Includes a blocker for single coil builds.

BTW my wife's RSSTs have adjustable air caps from madvapes.
RSST's are all adjustable, you just need the proper drill bit  Me, I like 1/16"-5/64" :)

Thanks for the reminder, I had been meaning to order one of these to try out :)
