Still wondering which charger is appropriate for these. On my ego 420 charger, the batt led flashes continuously or stays on solid while charging, at some point it goes off. The charger led never changes to green. I'm just wondering how many different variations of these are floating around and why some sites are recommending a 200 mah charger for a 350 mah battery.
Mine is a 350mah from highdesertvapes.com. I have a 200 mah charger I could mod to charger the ego mini, but that doesn't make sense if the batt will draw more than the charger can provide. It works great and seems to be charging ok, but something isn't right and most of the vendor sites are vague. Any input?

You do NOT want to charge a battery with a charger that puts out more mAh than the battery itself is rated for. That's a big no-no. It can not only hurt your battery, there is potential for overcharging and bodily harm. Please, do NOT do this again! Buy the CORRECT charger!

Thanks Mitey, That's my point. There seems to be misleading information both here and on vendor websites, for both the 350 and the 400 minis. Some say a 200mah charger, others say use your 420mah Ego charger, many vendors don't address it at all.
Then there is a previous post about not using a charger that doesn't provide at least the power that the device will draw.
I haven't heard any new "Boom" stories, but it seems the conditions seem right for it.

Use the 420 ego charger or charging will take an unnecessarily long time. 4.2 volts @ 420ma is the rated "potential" power output of the charger, meaning it CAN deliver 420ma at 4.2v if the circuit ask for it, but may provide less as needed. 350mah is the rated capacity of the these batteries(it can deliver apx. 350ma in 1 hour, starting out at 4.2 volts and gradually dropping unless they have a regulator built in to provide a constant voltage (3.7)). You would only run into problems if the charger is putting out well over 4.2v. Even then I'm pretty sure the batteries built in overcharge protection circuit would prevent charging at all. The rule of thumb with battery charging is that the voltage of the charger should match the battery as close as possible and be able to deliver the same or more amps than the battery has capacity.

BIG HUGE THANKS TO ECF! You all make me feel so much safer making my purchases, I hate feeling ripped off. I know there are bigger and badder systems out there, but for me small and portable are very important for me because of work. A few days in after ordering the kit from hoosierecig and I love it! Great little system, kit had everything I could ever want or need to use out of the box (other than liquid). Hoosier gave good and pretty quick service and packaging, overall I can't be happier about this.

I'm glad to hear that you went with hoosierecig. They are my favorite vendor. Great prices...great customer service..all around good vendor.
I suggest that you try their juice too. They aren't in a top vendor list for juice but I have tried all of the top juice vendors and their juice beats them all by miles. Taste is subjective but my top 10 juices are all from them.
Outside of a couple co-ops that I'm in for mods, I buy pretty much everything from them.
And NO...I'm not affiliated with them at all. I was just lucky enough to have stumbled across them.

Good luck with your new kit. I have the same kit and I love it for my work day.

View attachment 178987This made me laugh a little...350 mini with xl carto

LOL! That's probably what mine will look like, only in red (I'm still waiting for my mini to arrive). I have XL cartos on the way for my Twist, but I'll probably have to put one on the mini just to see how ridiculous I can make it look :p

It looks nice however it is pretty tall for what I would consider a mini and it's 24.99 for 400mAh which is expensive but it is VV. I'll pass on this one. I've been looking for one more mini in stainless and at a cheaper price.

....munch....munch....munch...eating my words LOL. I just ordered one :) I wanted another VV but didn't want the huge spinner and it is shorter than the 650 twist. I did get another 450 mini from Liberty Flights since the original post so I'm happy.

Jjcordone mentioned something about a 350 milliamp .... I recently bought a starter kit that was kinda cheap from some place. The battery that came with this kit was described in the contents as an eGo 350mah...Though the clearomizer was ... uh kinda defective as it leaked from the inner central atomizer pin,.... where it connects to the battery terminal. I thought well let's throw that away and fetch some new clearomizers. So I bought a kanger T3 and another type of kanger style clearomizer. I did have a question on the vaporizer that I resultingly put together with a kanger clearomizer & a eGo style battery..... would that be considered a mod (modified vaporizer setup ???? ) or it would just be Considered a normal e-cig configuration: having a kanger T3 tank with eGo 350/900Style batteries ????

though.... from your user pic .... it looks as if you are showing a 1100 or 1300 stainless cased battery ... nice ...!!!

It's a 1000mAh Twist in pearl pink :) I love it, but can't wait for my 350 mini so I can keep it on my keyring.

Is there anywhere that sells tanks that small without modification? What did you use to cut the tank? Also, where did you get the small drip tip? I really like the mini setup you have there and would like to build a few of my own!

BOGE F15 TANK CARTOMIZER 1 ML [BOGEF15TNKCRT] - $4.00 : VapeLite your source for Boge quality electronic cigarettes, Boge electronic cigarettes

you're also looking for a shorty drip tip. If you want a short colored tank you have to cut a smoktek tank with a pipe cutter.

edit: does anyone know of colored rings for the dctanks?
