I've been chewing a can a day off and on for over 10 years. I was wondering if anyone has had success switching to vaping? I always switch to swisher sweet cigarettes and end up going back to chewing. This time I went from chew, to cigars to vapor and it seams to be a good transition. Only been 4 days but I haven't been as tempted to buy a can.

Yeah I actually smoked a pack a day and dipped half a can a day, I think dipping was actually harder to quit then smoking, even to this day I crave a dip, I mean really really crave it. I loved dipping, though the girlfriend would say its disgusting, but mmmmmm I did love my Red Seal long cut wintergreen. Anyway, vaping has been a blessing, for smoking and dipping, but the truth is, until your really ready to quit, and I mean really really ready, nothing will do it for you, vaping only helps.

I've tried to quit smoking, I think its been 4 times now. Its not easy. Even with vaping, you'll be tempted to go back to cigarettes. If not for the taste... For the feeling of being BAD. haha. Vaping is healthy. We aren't just addicted physically and mentally to the nicotine. We are addicted to the flame of the lighter. We're addicted to belonging to the group of smokers at work. Addicted to lighting one up with a girl at a party. We're addicted to smelling like nasty smoke. We're addicted to our mothers telling us we stink. We're addicted to old woman giving us the stink eye in front of shopping centers. We're addicted feeling like we're doing something we shouldn't. Thats probably one of the main reasons we started in the first place. Your going to crave the taste of dip. Your going to crave your girlfriend wishing you'd stop. Tobacco is a self destructive desire manifestation. It might take a couple tries, or it might just take one try. But you can do it with vaping. Easily enough. Vaping is an amazingly precise substitute for the action of smoking and its a great nic delivery system. You can do it mang.

To be honest I was mainly a cigarette smoker. But like 6 months ago I started dipping on a family vacation because my dad didn't know I was a smoker. And since my family on his side is all from Pennsylvania and Ohio (where dipping is a bit more prominent than here in Miami) dipping was a bit more acceptable. Even my dad partook when he was plastered haha. Anyways, I just wanted to say that vaping DOES help the crave. For both cigs and dip. I still find myself getting a can from time to time. Mainly cuz I like to dip sometimes while I am playing video games or studying and some of my fraternity brothers dip so I do it occasionally with them. But for the most part I don't even feel a need for the dip and haven't even thought about touching a cigarette in over 3 months. I guess I just like the action of spitting into a cup every once in a while haha. I would say vaping is a GREAT way to stop if you really, really plan on quitting. Vape on brother! :toast:

When you dip or chew tobacco then you are supposedly getting a lot more Nicotine in your system than if you smoked it a lone.

I would reckon that someone who is coming from using a can of dip a day would really have to crank the amount of Nicotine in the eLiquid way the hEck up there! Talking about starting out at about 24mg Nicotine eLiquid.

Always have to be careful with increasing the Nicotine in the eLiquid because it's going to get Harsher as you increase the power via Variable Voltage or using Low Resistance Atomizers.
