Anyone try a KR808 adapter on a Riva 510?

Im thining about getting a set of Riva 510's from Liberty Flights since I killed one of my 808 batteries last night in a botched cleaning attempt. I have a ton of 808 carts and quite like them so Im wondering if anyone else out there runs a Riva with the 808 carts? Do the cones fit over the adapters or are there other any issues with using an adapter on these?

When it comes to cones and adapters it may get tricky; even though they do fit, then, air flow may get very extra restricted, which may be a good thing if you prefer a super-tight drag. Removing the sticker-layer of carto may help.
You might wanna check that whatever eGo, Riva, Tornado, knock-off you are getting is a true 3,7 volts units, otherwise, you are going to feel it is unsatisfying compared to 808 true 3,7 volts batts.
One eGo-type PV comes with a native 808 thread, dont remember which one though, and should check it delivers 3,7.
I guess a good similar option might be a Hello 16. That is 3,7, and 1,300 mah. Not so good looking though...

I use 808 cartos on my Riva 510 with the cone removed, using a goodprophets 510batt to 808 adapter. I've been okay with the performance using 2.6 ohm 808 cartos from vaporsetc, but as others said a standard 3 ohm carto would likely not be fun, a bit too cool. My real preferred combo is 2 ohm Boge 510 carto on the Riva.

Would a 901 Riva be a better match for the 808 carts? I know they are the same threading, just minus the air holes and it looks like the standard 901 attys are a closer ohm match to the 808s.

I believe, though may well be wrong, that the Riva 901 and 510 are the same, just different mechanical connectors -- same output voltage. Someone in the liberty-flights forum area should be able to answer with certainty.

If I am right (a big if, but pretty sure I looked into this before buying a Riva 510), then the Riva 901 would at most get you out of needing a 510batt to 808 adapter (pretty cheap).

If you like cartos overall, then I'd stay with the Riva 510, which will let you use Boge 2 ohm cartos later on (quite nice).

You might also poke at vapor-pure as a possible Riva 510 source -- a new business, some good pricing, there's a vapor-pure thread running where Doug lists an ECF discount code.

As revolver said, an eGo or Riva is a 3.2v battery (maybe 3.4 or a little higher when freshly charged), while an 808 is a true 3.7 volts. So, the vapor will be a good bit cooler and somewhat diminished. Since you want to use cartos that you already have, buying lower resistance cartos isn't your best route. But, Cigeasy has a native 808 connector "fat batt" that is, I think, a 3.7 volt device. It's called the "Elegant Easy." You might want to check that one out.
Overall, I use 510s mostly, so I'm not entirely familiar with the Elegant Easy. I think that there's another company that also has a KR808D-1 larger battery, but I don't know who. Anyway, you might want to check that out at Cigeasy.com since you also would not need an adapter.

I believe the fat 808 batt is called the pigcig from lecig. I am not fond of the name, but its a fat batt KR808D-1 that is a true 3.7v device.

There's also the Greenworld G400 900 mAh 808 auto battery. NHaler sells them, with their usual excellent support if any issues arise. They do run a long time between charges, though I have to admit I've quickly come to like the Riva 510 manual batteries.

Thanks for all of the info guys. I think I might check out the pigcig, but right now Im going to give the Riva 510 a try. Even if it doesn't work out with the 808s for $30 I might as well add a 510 to my vaping line up and I still have a few 808 batteries anyway.

I just purchased the Riva 901 kit, and it came with an adapter to fit my 808 cartomizers. Not sure if plain carts would work with the atomizer it comes it, but I was happy to be able to use all the cartos I have for the kr808-d1 battery with this now too (which was sort of the reason for going with the 901 instead of 510)
