Ahh to bad that was my favorite! all nets are gunky.

I've found I can drip some titan fluid tobacco every other drip or so and its not as gunky and still have the flavor of the net...

@Mazinny have you found anything like the Blue Grass Burley?

My order all 17mg
Orange-Honey
Gypsy-Blonde
Flue-Cured-Virginia
NS-DARK
Air-Cured-Burley
Fire-cured-Burley
Red-Virginia
AirCured-BlackBerryBurley

Thanks for the quick response!

Gypsey Blonde is really nice ! The burleys and virginias i don't vape straight, i usually mix them with each other and/or latakia and perique, but they are fine by themselves as well.

No, i haven't found anything that tastes quite like BGB unfortunately, although Ahl now carries the synthetic version of BGB ! Haven't tried it yet.

Ditto on the Gypsy Blonde, really really good, I want to try her darker more sharp Sister the Gypsy Brun.......

All of the Burleys from them are good, but I just tried the Fist full of Burley, a bit grassier and strong.....

I used to love the Allushion Blue Grass, and the Devil Dog, but they discontinued them? Too bad.......

I also love the NET Excalibur, very nice.................

I just received Ahlusion's new "Devil Dog" and "Blue Grass Burley" synthetic Aromatics. Fresh out of the mailbox both smell like a freshly diced mixture of bell peppers and green chili peppers with DD having the strongest aroma of the two. I dripped some DD in a Magma and to me it tasted - exactly - like it smelled, the "green chili pepper" note was dominant. I will age both for a couple of months and see what transpires.

Oh wow, maybe they changed the formula, cause it used to smell just like tobacco and grass or a good cigar....... Hmmm....

Hmm, I'll have to check back with you in a couple of months before I buy them, peppers hmmm!

Not a formula change, completely different juice. They used to be naturally extracted " tobacco " juices. The new juices are their attempt at recreating the taste using synthetic flavorings.

Curious, had you tried them in their NET form ?

that is too bad, they were strong and very grassy, but good. Devil Dog was a damn strong one, it put hair on my chest......... The blue grass was wonderful..... Oh well......

Plus they did not need to wait for weeks til vapeable....

Yeah, the old aros were good straight away. Blue Grass Burley was one of my favorites too ( still have a little left ! ). Devil Dog was decent but not unique like BGB. Apache from MOV and a couple others are very similar imo.

I tried the NET versions of both BGB and DD a year or so ago, not my favorites but they were pretty good. Taste is very subjective, but in my opinion these new synthetics taste - nothing - like the old NET based aromatics. Perhaps after aging them the flavor profile will change, time will tell.

Awesome, good to hear from someone who has tried the flavour I was most interested in. Not sure what you used to buy for analogs, but can you give any comparison to an American Spirit?

I was simplifying about specific flavors and talking generally about how variable and touchy these are to get the full experience. I found a family resemblance among the flavors I tried, all heat extracted, but the situation ended up not providing a lot of comparison between them. I liked Red Virginia maybe more than NS Dark and both a bit more than Big Spirit, due to more flavor. Chris's Blend could end up way funky tasting in the wrong setup, but I could taste it, at least, in everything.

I smoked Winston Light pre-FSC, McC(see username) Blue in Gold 100s tubes last, having trouble getting anything decent anymore for that occasional.

I may be missing something but I ordered about 6 bottles of NET liquid and didn't care for it. It tasted like bad tobacco leaf tea. Almost like putting a bunch of grass in water and letting it sit for a few weeks. I tried all the different flavors I ordered and they all tasted similar. I'm letting them sit for a month. It's been about three weeks and I'll try it again but I definatey didn't get the hype. May just be me though.

Fyi ordered from an "a list" dealer and vaped on nautilus mini.

We're talking about NETs from www.Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco.com, e-liquids for electronic cigarettes, not NETs in general, although some others will be similar and your description sounds like my first experience with NET.com and what was talking about in my earlier post. I don't think steeping was the main factor, either. I think it's even more variable due to hardware than most juices, which can be considerable. It's like it has to be in perfect focus or you can't tell what it is. Then it becomes startlingly real and while not necessarily delicious, very satisfying.

It can also be used to add a natural note to other juices and this is less variable. The problem is if you do discover the magic combo later you may not have much left.

That's a great description of some of the NETs I've tried, grassy... but all NET's tend to improve with age, so I may go back and try some of the HHV and Ahlusion NETs I didn't care for when new, that grassy or peppery taste. I like Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco NETs on day one, and they only get better with a few weeks aging.

I've noticed that NETs made with/from Virginia dominant tobacco blends tend to have that hay like grassy flavor note. The type of extraction process used also plays a role in the final flavor. If I remember correctly Heather's Heavenly Vapes (HHV), uses steam distillation to produce their NET and are the only ones doing so that I know of. Ahlusion doesn't offer NET, all of their tobacco line, including their new aromatics, use "synthetic" flavorings. River Bottom Fog Sauce (RBFS), NET.com, MyVapeJuice (MVJ), and Goodejuice (GEJ), all offer NETs and use simple soak (hot and cold) extraction methods like those discussed in the "Liquid Extraction From Tobacco" sub forum here on ECF. NET.com and MVJ offer a wide selection of NETs and reveal the specific tobacco or tobacco blends used for the extraction. That's handy when you know what tobacco flavors you do and don't like. NET.com also gives you a choice of hot or cold extracted NET. Clay at NET.com produces great NET but so does Diane at MVJ and her NET is squeaky clean. RBFS is also top notch and is currently $10 for 30ml at Vapingwatch River Bottom Fog Sauce

Great information St8vision, thanks. I like trying new products, and the River Bottom Fog Sauce is a good price, I've heard of it before, so I will give that a try, though i prefer 24 mg and they only go up to 20 mg nic, that should be ok. I will look at MVJ as well, so thanks for the leads!

Look's like you're right about Ahlusion no longer carrying NETs like it says on the "Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux" of this thread, however their website information for Smooth Criminal states 'While our non-aromatic blends are based on natural tobacco extracts (mainly various blends of light and dark Cavendish), the focus is not on the tobacco itself, but a blend or flavors in this recipe. The tobacco used in our non-aromatic blends is fairly neutral compared to our aromatic blends." I bought Smooth Crimnal however and the taste to me is more like those V2 cigs I tried, non-NET, having that "hay" like taste and slight peppery throat irritant for me. Interestingly enough, I bought some NETs from HHV and had the same impression, "hay" like taste.

Taste is such an individual thing, and hard for me to describe, and though I agree that Virginia's might have what could be described as very slight grassy taste (especially Red Virignia), to me its a taste of its own - Virginia tobacco leaf, and Pure Virginia doesn't taste grassy at all to me. Definitely not hay, lol. I love the red anyway, best throat hit I've had yet in a NET, pure cigarette taste, marlboro style. I get 70/30 pg/vg, 24 mg nic, heat extraction method. I plan to try the cold extraction eventually due to reading some of the testing done, the cold method is described on the Naturally-Extracted-Tobacco website as being a little milder however.

Again, thanks for the feedback, I am still learning my way around NETs and vaping devices, though I've tried dozens of each, lol.

Taste is an individual thing, I love most of the NETs I've tried from NET.com, but I am sure not everyone will. I do want to tell you though that I have bought several types of vaping devices and kits, including the Kangertech EMOW bottom dual coil, and most recently the Aspire Nautilus mini with Organic cotton BVCs, and while better than the EMOW tank, its not even close in taste with NET's that a cheap Goodejuice 9.95 to 12.95 "blisterpack kit" CE5+ clearomizer gives me, though not the best quality, I have yet to find better flavor and the replacement "wickless" (not really though) coils are like a cartridge for a tank, and cost only .49 cents each.

Taste is very subjective and prone to change, current favorites may become less palatable over the course of time. Some of the juice that I really enjoyed two years ago I no longer find appealing while others are still just as tasty as ever. Personally, I enjoy dessert tobaccos and prefer those that are well balanced with the tobacco presence slightly forward. From NET.com's offerings I liked the heat extracted "Balkan" and "tRY4.1" mixed together 20/80. For my taste, one of the best balanced retail dessert tobaccos I found was "ouR whY qu4tro" from Quick nic Juice but it's slated to be discontinued once FDA regs take effect.

Does NET.com Big Spirit really taste like a burning analog? That's what almost all the reviews say anyways. Like Thanatopis said, and I am paraphrasing, too good to be true. I haven't smoke an analog in a little over nine days and I feel like I am going to smoke again just for the taste. It's kind of a struggle living without the minor alkaloids but I can do but that taste of burning tobacco taste good and I kind of miss (I think I crave it). I've been vaping on and off for a few years and have been reading ECF, learning quite a bit so I know the subjectivness of taste and the rhetoric of no juice will taste burning cigarette are the two main things I have learned. Also, are NET.com NETs coil killers?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I've tried Big Spirit, NS Dark and Speaking Spirit. All are very good. I smoked American Spirit menthol and Perique cigs. I can't say they taste exactly like the cigs but, they are very good. This might be a result of 45 years of taste buds living in exile. I would suggest you try Clay's sample packs: Sampler-Cigarettel

NETs can be coil killers. I used them in the Nautilus Mini for months before switching over to RDAs. With RDAs though it's easy enough to wash, dry pulse the coils and rewick to get rid of gunk. I will say that My Vape Juice and NET.com have some of the cleanest NETs I've tried.

Remember that NETs need steeping to reach full potential. Taste them out of the box to satisfy curiosity then let them hang out for a few months.

To answer your second question, yes, NET.com will gunk up a coil faster than any synthetic juice. It is the nature of the beast when it comes to NET's. Although, they (NET.com) are not the worst out there. Can't really tell ya how many mils of juice it takes to gunk a coil cause I drip and don't really pay attention to how much I use. It does take longer than others to gunk up my coils if that helps.

As for if Big Spirit tastes like a burning cigarette....Nope, it tastes more like what the bag of RYO tobacco smells like. After all, NET's are just extracts of tobacco blends which provides the taste of the tobacco, nothing more.

With all that being said, it was NET's which finally got me satisfied with vaping. I liked it (vaping) before but was always chasing that magical eliquid which would satisfy my tobacco itch. NET's did that. They allowed me to taste what real quality tobacco really tastes like for the first time in my life without the ash or burning smell ruining the tobacco.
