I've never heard of it before, but at that price it's not really an alternative for the Provari from a build quality perspective... Great alternative to the LavaTube though, potentially...

This is not really a comparison to any adjustable voltage VV. This is emulating tube mods that carry different battery combinations. 3.7, 5 and 6V I believe (although 5v isn't really a batt combo, but a regulated with - usually - 2x14500's).

It is a 3 stage variable, and while I can see the usefullness, at that price, I think I would just pick up a lavatube and get the full spectrum.

In Phil's review, it looked really, really cheap. Almost disposable imo. Looked far from being worth $70, especially considering other equal devices for that price.

$30, maybe. $70, no way would I spend that much on something that's bound to not last the long haul. Jmo.

Was revisiting this thread, and I think we need to push for vendors to use another designation for these 3-stage devices. This isn't the first one to be called VV. Maybe SV would be better for Selectable Voltage....

I agree it is confusing. Also when you read the details it says vv not 3 stage

Based on Phil's data it seems to be pushing some solid voltage. I'd rather have this at my desk at work vs a lavatube

I have two of these and they're great. The price is right too - $49 for a full kit and $29 for just the mod. Vapingzone has the 3 stage. The new ones are full VV in .1v increments and are made from a heavier plastic - available at SmokTek. Best to use nipple-top IMR batts.
