Has anybody had any experience with the T2 eGo clearamizers? Im about to order a half dozen (plus 2 spare wick/coil ...) and would like some input. I like the changeable coil/wick assembly. It holds a decent volume of juice. The various colors are a plus also. The price seems to be rite in the middle... not too cheap, not an arm-n-a-leg.

I don't want a cheapo that's going to need replacing every month, yet I'm pretty new and don't want to throw a $20 bill at each one either. None of them would be constant duty... more than likely 4 of them would take an equal share of my time. The other 2 would be for flavors I have to be in the mood for.

Any opinions on how long they would last? I know that's a subjective question with many factors coming into play. I want something that will last a bare minimum of a month... 6 months would be ideal. The kit Im getting comes with 2 CE4+s. Are they any better (it dosen't look like it)?

Maybee I should invest in a more costly pair for the ones that will get used the most.

Anyway... any ideas?

Thanx

Suprised I'm the first reply.. The eGo T2's were the first thing that I ever vaped out of. And they are very good and reliable clearos.. I used them solely for my first few months of vaping.. From all the tanks I've tried, the T2 seemed to be the only 1 that I could vape on the same wick/coil, for weeks, without cleaning or replacing. Great warm vape, good flavor/TH, and no leaking/gurgling. The wicks didn't seem to need a "break-in" period, like other clearos, for the flavor to start coming out..

All in all, very reliable & a good quality clearo, especially for the price.. I've since switched to the glass, bottom-coil Protank; and I rebuild my own microcoils for this using cotton-balls for wicking material (see my thread in this section of the forum). But I would recommend the T2's to any beginner, or anyone just wanting an "easy" vape. Great clearo!

I assume you are talking about the old-school Kanger T2s?

Personally I feel they were the best clearos available at the time but today there are better options such as the eVods, Protanks, and other modern bottom coil designs. The T2 is a top-coil, so you are fighting gravity to feed juice to the coil. The coil-head is also kind of sunken into the device, and makes switching heads a bit more frustrating than it should be if you aren't using tweezers or something, since you cannot unscrew the base of the T2 to easily access the coil-head. The mouthpiece, like on many kanger products, cannot be replaced with standard 510 drip tips, which might be something that bothers you.

Being an older design, replacement coil-heads are going to be scarce compared to more recent models, and you never really know when they will stop being available.

Clearos in general are all basically disposable units. While most today have replaceable coil-heads allowing them to be used longer, they are all still built fairly cheaply and one shouldn't expect their clearos to last as a long-term item.

If you are open to suggestions I'd point you towards the Kanger eVod, Kanger Protank II Mini, or the RBC clearo seen here:

RBC Clearomizers

They are incredibly cheap, but are actually built quite well, sturdy and clever design. Performance on the heads is great as well.

Hope this helps and you find what you're looking for!
