Anyone use cartos with TV juices?!

I use the 2.8 ohm CE2's and my favourite Geoff's Blend as well as other darker juices are wreaking havoc on them. juice gets gunked up right at the entrance of the ceramic cup and then gunks up the coil. As a result I am getting maybe 2 days out of a carto.

Is dripping the only way to enjoy my juices?!

Anyone have input on this?

you could try V4L "coolcartos" they seem to last a little longer than other cartos with dark liquids in them, but even they dont last much longer than 3-5 refills.

I'm using it right now in my XL eGo carto. It does gunk it up so that I only get about a day's use out of the carto before I have to clean it. I put in hot (not boiling) water (since it's not ceramic), and blow, then rinse, then blow, then rinse, then put in hot water again...repeat. Then dry for about a day or so. Then they work great again.

Amazing that I can keep blowing, rinsing, letting sit in hot water routine 3-4 times and still see dark stuff come out. It takes a while to clean them until the water runs clear.

I've been having the same problem with my darker juices, especially (and sadly) Tastyfinger. I've tried V4L Wow cartos, V4L coolcarts, Bloog maxx fusion, Cig Easy and Nhaler jumbo blanks. vape all on V4L 3.7V batt or Cig Easy's Elegant Easy XXL. As sooperdrave said, the V4L coolcarts are probably the best way to go with the dark juices. Only problem there is that flavor intensity is sacrificed, due to high resistance

I only use cartos and I only vape TV juice. They last three to four fills max and then they go in the "to be cleaned" pile.

Yup,TV kills cartos faster,much faster.But I still use them.The V4L premiums seem to get the longest use for me too.

I figured that I was not alone in this. Thanks for the feedback guys. Cartos are still cheap enough that I don't mind "retiring" them without them dying but I may have to stick with direct dripping while at home, and only use cartos when driving.

Has anyone here ordered and tried the bridgeless 510 attys from Greenhouseone? They are 5 pack for $15 with a 6 month warranty. Seems like the perfect interim solution to me.

I'm using Boge lr cartos with TV Geoff's Blend and TV Spiced Apple Cider, and I really haven't notice any difference from the Boge 2ohm filled with my diy Tiramsu blend. They have been lasting about a week...

As I write this I realize how lame it sounds but I've been vaping for a year and only used V4L hardware - 808 batteries and cartomizers. I find most of the V4L juices DISGUSTING, tho, and TV has now become my go-to juicer. I haven't had the issue you describe to the degree that you are having, but certainly Goeff's juices tend to be thicker and harder on the cartos.

As the other posters have said I tend to get around 5-7 refills out of a cart before they start to taste off - at which time they go into a "to-be-cleaned" pile. Every month or so I have a carto cleaning session where I remove the caps, wrap a rubber-band around a bunch of them (open side up) and drop the bunch into a pot of boiling water. I let them boil for 5-10 mins, dump out the water, rinse clean water through them, and then drop the bunch into a second pot of clean boiling water. I rinse them again and shake out as much water as possible, then let 'em dry for a day or 2.

They are nearly good as new after that treatment and I've only had to trash a small number (maybe 10 or 20) over a 1-year period.

I fill it once in the morning, once before I leave work, and once a couple hours after that. I basically get 20+ fills on my cartos.

I really have to wonder what some people do to theirs to only warrant a few refills before they're trashed or cleaned.


That being said, the cartos you're referring to have sucked for me. It's probably because I like 20/30% VG, but yeah...I've had bad experiences with those.

Whew, 20+ fills per carto? Mine taste like burnt crap after about four. What flavors do you use? My main vapes are waffles, bananas foster and spiced apple cider. The cinnamon and other spices in the BF and SAC seem to compound over fills and just ruin the taste. The sweet aspect of waffles seems to caramelize around the coil in the carto and ruin them. They all still work, they just taste like a$%. On the other hand, a clear liquid like Blue Bulls can be refilled closer to 10 times but I still couldn't get 20+ and continue to enjoy the taste. I only use BOGE 2.0 or 2.8 cartos and generally run them at 4.0-5.0 volts on my ProVari.

I use a good variety of everything. Waffles, Sour Green Apple, Tin Box Mint, AC, etc. Waffles (and other dark flavors) definitely takes more of a toll on them than clear flavors, but I can still get a good week out of them when I use them for dark flavors.

Flavor doesn't change at all. They produce a little less vapor as the days go on, but nothing too bad. The only thing I do is shove a paper clip through the tube inside if the draw starts getting a little tight.


I think people just let theirs get too empty, so they end up burning whatever is left inside, leaving a bad taste over time.

yup! ANY dark liquids are hard on cartos.

I have been using TV juice in cartos for about eight months now....I use a 30% VG/70% PG mix of cherry and menthol with Kanger 808d1 cartos......they generally last me between one and two weeks and I will have pumped 10-20 ml of juice through them in that time.....

I've been vaping tastyfinger and blueberry cheescake on boge cartos, the cartos last me almost two weeks a piece, I'm lazy so I barely ever clean them. The ones I have cleaned may last a bit longer, the longest I've gotten was about 2 and a half weeks. Although after this period they do still work, they don't work well, when I take the old ones apart the gunk they have left behind is rather digusting, thick muddy looking residue, after seeing that I've recently limited my use of each carto to about a week. At a little over a dollar a piece I rather change them and get better performance than keep them on until the performance makes them unuseable.

Funny I notice little difference between light or dark in my carto's. (kr808's from vapor9, and low resistance 510's from vaporkings) at 6 volts I get about 5 days of constant use regardless of flavor or color, and this is with german chocolate, cherry cola, AC, and tasty finger. And by constant I mean I stick to one flavor till the carto's dead, chuck it, then pick a new flavor with a fresh carto, so the juice is never just hanging around inside not being vaped.

Maybe I'm just insanely lazy, but I never understood all this cleaning nonsense with cartos, I trash um at the first sign of weakness. With cartos and juice I don't vape more then 6 bucks a week, when a year ago I smoked more then 60 a week.

I've started doing the same. No more stressing about carto clogging and wicking. I just chuck the bloody thing out and put a new one on..

I don't actually clean them, but when they start to clog up I do pull the batting out, and if it survives the process I use them as drip tubes for another week or so.....
