anyone use just regular foam pads from dollare store?

Wondering if it would be okay in your opinion to use a regular foam pad used for washing dishes as a filler?

Really have to see what the stuff is made of. Materials some would think are harmless, like actual cotton, are not. PET (polyester) is what polyfil, PTB, blue foam and aquaclear (most common used here) is. So before I'd use something different I'd want to see what it is and the safety sheet on it with regards to inhalation, etc.
