like these:

Amazon.com: PIPETTE PUMP: Industrial & Scientific

seems like a great way to get precise measurements, I find it odd that none of the vendors sell them, so maybe there's a reason. what do ya'll think?

I used to use one like this years ago when I worked in a lab:

Pipet Pipette Filler Bulb Silicone Black Three Valve: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I don't think that the advantage to using them is to improve on accuracy, but their purpose is to provide a level of safety. For example, if you need to pipette a concentrated acid or a waste water sample without sucking it into your mouth. If you want to improve your measurement accuracy for DIY, try using a syringe; it's cheaper and it's easier.

I've used the second one on the OP's site listed. We used them for checking chlorides on gas and oil wells. They work nice, and like Jellyfish said, it keeps bad stuff out of your mouth. We were using open ended pipettes and with the pump we could keep from having to suck the liquid in to the pipette. It also gave you more control on dripping one drop at a time. They're nice, but not really needed for this in my eyes. The syringe in easier, and more accurate for me.
