Anyone vape Bobas with an RM2/REO.....what coil/wick build works best

Anyone vape Bobas with an RM2/REO.....what coil/wick & ohms build works best for you?

Being 100% VG, Bobas is THICK...so I'm wondering what coil size /wicking material has worked great for you.
I'm starting trying lots of different builds today, some input would help.

I have KO Gen DO Cotton, Rayon, and sterile cotton balls, 26g,27g,28g wire

Mostly been doing microcoils on 1/16" , and building between 0.7 - 1.5 ohm coils, just to see the different flavors.
Still experimening, have not found a sweet spot....

** (My other eliquids are thinner, almost any coil/wick works great and taste good with them ! , but Bobas is SO thick its gonna need something appropriately built for it I'm finding. I luv the taste of bobas in my old protanks.....want to enjoy now in my REO)

A bigger coil with more wick tastes better especially with thicker liquid. However, I received some ready wick this week and put it in all of my Reos because it seems to enhance the flavor of all of my juice.

I'm getting muted flavor...been using KOGENDO exclusively today with bobas. I'm wicking just like supex does on his video.

*Funny thing is, if I rewick and use my other juices they are awesome and juicy hits. The bobas is dry and muted.
Thought I just had too much wick, so went smaller...same. Still trying

I luv the KGD on all my other juices tho....Bobas is the only one giving me trouble...!! Its my fav juice......arggh

For me, parallel duals in 28ga, about .6 ohms gives a more flavorful hit than a single of the same resistance. Cotton wicked with short tails, next to the air hole and almost on the deck. Mundys was great too, I am just to lazy to make it

Increase the ID of your coil and use a thicker gauge wire to gain more surface area while keeping the ohms lower to off set the larger diamter. (longer amount of wire used = more ohms)

What size air hole is your RM2? I would try 6 wraps of 26G around a 3/32 drill bit, it will slide in perfectly and line up great. You may also want to try twisted 28G, 6 wraps around a 5/64 drill bit.

I would only do these builds if my air hole was 5/64 or 3/32.

Try Gorilla juice?

Yes, very good advice above. I enlarged the air hole to 1/16, changed the drip tip to a short pyrex wide bore, and a macro coil with a small wad of cotton. This works the best for me but I did find the drip tip makes a big difference.

Anyone else using THICK juice and getting wet juicy flavorful hits.....what setup worked for you?

I'm using 28g on a 5/64" bit wrapped 6-7 times for a 1.0ohm coil. All my DIY juice is pure VG except for the tiny bit of flavorings PG. The liquid is slower so I squonk for 3 seconds and give it 2 seconds to drain excess. No problems. If I rush it I end up with a slightly burnt taste. Thicker slower juice means you need to give it more time to travel both ways is all.

I have had Boba's in one of my Reos exclusively for a year or so. I have tried just about everything. I find that a 30g Kanthal wrap single micro coil in the 1.2+ ohm range works best. Sub-ohming Boba's doesn't do anything for me and tastes burnt to me. I sub ohm with sweeter juice, like Pluid, which blasts off under .8 ohms, but Boba's tastes and works better for me at over 1.2. I use KGD cotton. Also has the added benefit of better battery life.

I'm finding that out also.....Boba's taste better at higher ohms.....most my other juice I like .7 - .9

I can vape my Boba's at .5ohm dual coils if I mix it 50/50 with some unflavored VG. My Boba's has been steeped for about 9 months so the flavor is super strong. Even cutting the flavor down by 50% with a bottle this strongly steeped still gives wonderful flavor.

Boba's is one of my ADVs but I run it in a dual-coil Cyclone with AFC, dual-coil RM4, or dual-coil Odin (catching a pattern here?...lol). I set them all up running at about .5ohms with 7 wraps of 28ga around a green or pink lurelock blunt needle.

For single coils in the RM2s I find right around 1ohm is best for me. I wrap that with 28ga as well, same coil as the duals but when only running a single it comes out right at about 1ohm.

I bought my first Reo to vape just Bobas and Gorilla Juice (18mg). I just used a 1.3 ohm coil wrapped around a 1/16th precision screwdriver. (My coil of choice) with a rayon wick. Vapes Bobas like a champ!
