Just my :2c:, but it doesn't matter what you build for a reo...............there awesome. :sneaky: Welcome to reoville, so glad you are here. Have fun and happy squonking.

Thanks! I'm loving it so far. I think I just need to play around with it a little more and I'll find that sweet spot. Also the draw is a little tight for me, so I may be drilling the hole just a little. All in all though, I'm happy to be here, and excited to learn!

Try moving the coils out as far as you can to the edge of the deck without going over of course then play with the height of it. My coils are just about centered top/bottom on the air hole and directly in line with the air hole. I am not much of a cotton expert but try trimming the tails a bit shorter. With a REO most everyone will tell you less=more when it comes to wicks and juice.

Do you DIY your juice?

On the Rm2's I screw on the cap and take the tip of a black marker and put a dot on the base right in line with the air hole. That way when I am installing a new coil I can see where to line it up and I do not need the oring under the cap.

So I've been playing around with it for the past hour or so. Tried everything from a 28g parallel coil at .6 ohms, then a 28g single coil at .8 ohms, then a 30g single coil at 1.3 ohms, and now back to 28g single at 1.0 ohms. Loaded it up with some Or3O from NT, and decided to call it quits for a lil while. I sat down to enjoy some vape time and watch these Redskins get beat by the Browns, and BAM! The Reo is hitting quite nice. Finally found some more flavor, and surprisingly bigger clouds than I've had so far. I tried what you said and moved the coil as close to the edge of the atty and air hole as possible without shorting, and have it lined up perfectly with it as well. Maybe that's what it needed, or it could be the change in flavor (been vaping PBC all day,) either way it's hitting better now. Thanks for your help! Hopefully I can repeat whatever I did this last time. I'm sure ill be back with more questions though. Lol! I do need to get an extra RM2 o ring or two. The top cap is still a little loose with just one when I line it up with the coil. That, and I believe I may end up drilling the hole a little bit to get a looser draw. It's not quite where I like it.

I vape primarily Nicoticket, every now and then I'll vape a couple juices from a local B&M. I haven't gotten into DIY yet, and honesty I'm not sure that I will. I could probably never make anything that would come close to satisfying my cravings the way that NT does.

When I got my first REO it was head and shoulders above everything else I had for all day flavor and no fiddling issues but I found the flavor would still come and go to a point. I was here reading all the post about diluting the juice and/or vaping unflavored so I thought hey I should give it a try. I had some nic base so I loaded up a bottle and then put a little premixed juice in with it and WHAM.....it hit me in the face. I was so completely amazed that I could get better and a more consistent all day every day flavor with less premix juice. I use several NT juice and I dilute them all using a RM2 and 1ohm coil. It may not be your thing and of course that is just fine but if you find you need to try something new. Give it a whirl...

Enjoy the game.....

It's tough to know what exactly does it when you start hitting a sweet spot for a particular build you've had going for awhile. But remember a few variables that change as you vape, such as your voltage and wick. When using cotton, I find it takes a bottle or two to 'break in' and really get the flavor coming through. Also, I've found that there seems to be a particular voltage range of the battery that really vapes better depending the build, and not necessarily at full charge. My current build and wick seems to vape the best at 3.75-3.85 volts.

Thanks for all the info guys, right now I've got it vaping the best I've had so far with it. Still not quite what I get from my other all day devices, but definitely a good vape. I'm gonna keep playing around with it and see where I can get it too. The convenience and dependability are gonna be a huge plus as far as device to carry to work. Now if I can get it to vape just the way I want it to I'll be set. I figure with everyone speaking so highly of Reos, it's more than likely something I'm doing or haven't done to get it where I want it. Any and all info still out there is more than welcomed. I'm using 28g wire, but thinking on getting some 26g. I plan on hitting all ends of the spectrum to find that sweet spot, so we'll see what happens. Do you think opening the air hole a little will help or hinder the vape quality?

Definitely too much cotton on the picture you showed, you want short tails that barely touch the deck. I would also open up the airhole if you prefer a looser draw. I use a magma on my maraxus mod, and flavor on it is very good, my favorite tf dripper to date, but it doesn't beat the flavor I get out of my rm2s. Of course I'm running dual coils in my rm2s so, that might have something to do with it.

Would love to see a picture of those dual coils you're running. Especially if you're getting better flavor from the RM2 than the magma! That's exactly where I'm trying to get to with mine.

These are if I remember correctly 8 wraps around the 2nd smallest screwdriver in my precision screwdriver set with 28 g kanthal, comes to .65 ohms

Looks good! I may have to try that. Everything so far has been second best to my magma.

You sound like a good candidate for the RM4 (Atomic clone). Very similar to the Magma.

Oh, and yeah....way too much cotton on the first pic.

Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for.. Unfortunately my mini isn't an LP. So for now I've gotta find a build for my RM2 thats gonna work. Been vaping it all day today. And I'm not getting hardly any flavor.. I don't know what's goin on. Kinda aggravating though.

Having a hard time getting a good picture.. Looks like the wick is covering the hole, but I left a gap underneath it, so it doesn't have it clogged like it looks. Also I used the o ring given to be able to adjust the air hole to place is directly in line with the coil.

Two suggestions;
try using shorter tails on the wick, with a Reo less is more when it comes to cotton.

Move the coil out closer to the edge and over by the air hole. Might need to go up also, you want it to be right in front of the air hole. You want the air flow around the coil both over and under it to get the most flavor from it. Most RM2 have the air hole shifted towards the drain and your coil is shifted to the other side.

*Update* So I've done everything you guys have said to do. Coil closer and in front of the air hole, less wick, everything. I've tried at least 20 different coils in it, and am right now setting on 5 wrap .8 ohm micro build of 28g kanthal. I've been everywhere from .5 to 1.1 ohms on my builds, single coils spaced, single micros, and parallel coils. Everything has seemed very underpowered and while there is some flavor, it's very sub par to me. I truly don't understand what the deal is. Everyone talks so highly of Reos, and I've yet to find that enthusiasm. I've used mechanicals before, and, truly wasn't impressed with them. I guess I've just gotten used to my DNA30. I love the concept of Reos, squonking is awesome and very convenient. I just don't understand everyone's enthusiasm about its performance. Someone help! Haha I truly want to love this thing!
