ok..ive got a Twist which i enjoy very much but have been eying a bigger vv mod that has more power and features. Looking at a Lavatube which is affordable compared to say a Provari and has many of the same features, then seen a Vector VV from vapor beast .com which looks like a Lavatube knock off ( i could be wrong )but what ive seen is a improvement over the LT 1.5T. Can anyone chime in with their thoughts or experiences concerning this mod...thanks

:toast:cheers

Yeah, it is more than likely the 1.5-T model which is the "corrected" version. Approximately 10% of the 1.5 original versions had defective circuit boards and some went up in smoke (literally), so they were recalled and the 1.5-T version was pushed out in it's place. I have an original 1.5 and while it's decent, it's still a Lavatube, meaning it has crappy parts and I know it won't likely won't last me a long time. I do like it better than the L-Rider Lavatubes though, simply because of the ohm reading function and ability to use dual coil crap on it. I've seen and used much better devices that are in the same/similar price range though, so before you make the jump, I'd look around some more and make sure it's what you want. Any questions about the device, you can PM me.

Looks like Battlelance is right. I was curious about this and skimmed some info all over and it seems like it's just another case of 10 different names for the same product. This looks like the lavatube 1.5 T from a different manufacturer, with some improvements over the old one and some drawbacks. This uses pulse-width modulation apparently, and although vaporbeast's site says it's 3 amps, the thread and vaporchase's review both say it's up to 4 amps, so it'll play nicer with dual coils. :p

Here is what was said in vaporbeast's thread, which I warn you is 99% useless. Geez .. the way the owner posts makes me want to avoid that vendor, but I digress.

"We have version #1 in stock directly from L-Rider and this 1.5 version from Young June which is a nice improvement IMO. For example: Larger case, 4a, metal caps, MING style drip tip, battery life indicator...etc."

Edit: Direct link to the quoted post.

Vaporchase's video:

Ohh and vaporus has it as well for a Canadian vender and you can save yourself about $30 if you have some 18650s and a charger already.

^^^^ Regardless by looking at your post history it's obvious you love vapor beast because you seem to recommend them & all there products & juices to any & everyone. I don't have a dog in this & Tim does seem as a stand up guy, but I don't think anything at all really negative was said for you to get all riled up about.

Whoa way off-topic ...

I apologize I think it was me sounding like I was bad mouthing vaporbeast. I haven't heard *anything* bad about them as a vendor, I merely meant that that thread was not information ( IMO ) for the OP's questions and it seemed like more a promotional/sales thread, but .. ECF participation is always great ! Anyway .. no offense was intended and I didn't mean to say anything bad about vaporbeast, just got frustrated with the 10 names for every damn pv out there. :p Apologies again.

It is true, many suppliers have a different name for the same products. I suppose it s there way of differentiating themselves from the sea of like products. I too think the VaporBeast thread is the owner Tim's way of promoting his business and products. That being said it's also a place where his customers can check in, say hello and learn what's new at VaporBeast.

Thank you for the apologies chagrin. Have a great day and wishing you and your business much success.

Thanks to everyone who has chimed in to this thread i appreciate it very much. Just to give you an update i have ordered the chrome Vector VV kit along with a Smoktech DCT already shipped so hopefully will be here next week. I did a lot of research folks and although this mod may be a middle of the road VV mod i feel it may suit my needs for now until some thing else shiny catches my eye LOL Will let you know how it all pans out .:toast:cheers!

No not vaping a Vector VV, but I have a Mini Vector VV Platinum arriving on Monday. I chose it because
1. Vapor Beast gave me excellent presale support
2. It's the latest version which claims to resolve past issues including 3.0 or 3.2 amps instead of the previous 2.5
3. It's a medium/small form factor with separate batteries. I prefer the control of separate batteries.
4. Price is reasonable
5. It looked damned sexy.

I'll come back at you after I've received it and tested it out.
