Can anyone talk me into or out of a LavaTube? I'm wanting to upgrade my twist, nothing wrong with them just want new! I was looking at a LT, but read about the voltage drop they have when your battery is dying. Plus, just want to get some opinions from the community before I pull the trigger. Lavatube? Is there another VV PV out there for $100-$150 (PV, charger, and a couple 18650s) that out shines the LT? And please y'all, don't recommend provari!!!!!! I CAN'T AFFORD IT. However, I'm pinching pennies :) because it looks sweet

My original LavaTube is sitting in a drawer as my emergency hurricane battery, just waay too honking big. I'm a 55 year old blonde who lives in Palm Beach, and it's just too big for me. I use an Apollo VTube mini for at home and Twists for out and about. Here's the link for Apollo and there's a 30% off coupon, so it'll be smack dab in your price range. I've used the mini daily for at least 6 months, with no problems whatsoever.

Apollo VTube Kit

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I had looked at the vtube once before. Does it.have voltage drop as battery is used? I noticed the provari doesn't have the drop and I like that. I'm not dead set on a provari, I just like it's features. If I could find something with the provaris features id gladly buy it instead and save $200 bucks. I just don't know about throwing $300 bucks around on something I can't even hold 1st.

I don't notice a voltage drop until right before it quits. For about $50, you can get it for now, and then use it as a backup for when/if you get a Provari.
I'm finally going to get the Provari as a Christmas present, because I haven't been able to justify the $$ either. But, I can easily justify it as a present :D

Thanks for the replies y'all. Decided I'm just gonna hold off and save for a provari. I'm gonna start ordering small things for it now, charger, batteries, attys, end cap. Then buy the provari in December when I get my bonus check. Figure if I do it that way I'll have everything but the mod and only have to crop 170$. Makes me feel better if I break it up and don't drop 280$ at once. Now....... I gotta decided between the v2 or the mini
