and is a so called "Cloud chaser" and even if you're not. The SMOK TFV4 has literally blown me away as far as how far tanks have come in the past year. This thing puts out just as much if not more, yes more.. then any RDA I''ve used. Mine only came with triple coil installed, it was 45$ at the local vape shop.. So I just placed an order for a couple more of those and some quad coils as well. I had the artic before this and this puts that to shame both flavor and vapor production wise. The artic says it can handle up to a certain wattage I think 80-100.. which just was simply not true. If I put it up past even 55-60, you get a burnt taste immediately. Now with the SMOKE TFV4, you can literally run it anywhere from 70-100 watts without any burnt flavor taste and I keep mine at 80 watts because that seems to be the sweet spot for me, atleast with the triple coil in. Definitely could change when I get the quad coil in though. Anyone else recently get this tank and as excited as I am that there's actually a tank out there now that can match RDA's?

Im thinking the quad may result in dry hits.... it will have an additional coil and therefore less wick in the coil chamber...
more coil, less wick, dry hit :)
( unless the coil chamber is increased in size for the quad, but from the pictures Ive seen, doesnt look like it )
It's actually 4 wires in parallel, but they call it a "quad". IME, no dry hits, even at 100w!

To the OP - yes, extremely stoked on this tank. Not stoked that my juice budget is going to skyrocket though!

Has a tank ever made someone pick up DYI? :p

I have a brand new kit still in the box. I found it at a great deal that would have been hard to beat. Its juice usage is the reason I haven't used it yet. I do some DIY, just not sure how long the two heads I have will last with a high VG blend. I know it has an RBA, but don't think that is the big selling point on this tank. And a pack of heads will cost almost as much as the kit did.

I tried one at a vape shop in Texas and was immediately ...... when they didn't have any for sale. Banana pudding at 100 watts was unreal. Now that I own one I cant even make it past the tri coil. Its just too much vape for me. I am not selling or trading it, just saving it for special occasions. I think I will build the deck so I can vape it at 40-50 watts. But yes, flavor and vapor are all that and a bag of chips!

I have the TFV4, wasn't thinking about buying it, actually won it in a raffle give away. I'm impressed with the amount of vapor production it had, but the quad coil burns out extremely quickly on a 80/20 vg/pg juice. Was not impressed by that at all. I still find the flavor better on a dripper and If I really wanted to I could still produce twice as much vapor on the dripper as well. Main thing I don't like is the juice consumption. You can EASILY go through 30ml in a day if you're not careful and you vape low nic.
All in all, it's still the best tank you can get right now, but I'd still use a dripper any day.

Seems some people have had not such great luck with the TFVA4. Vaping the quad at 110w with some DIY juice. All my juices are 70+VG, usually 80-90VG and 1 flavoring has a smidgen of sweetener. The coils heads I have used up, triple and quad, both lasted me about 3 weeks, maybe a little more. I used a single coil RBA with a twisted 24g coil and that also performed beautifully with no leaks and no dry hits for a couple of weeks or so, same wick.

@Eekins
Do you vape your TFV4 any differently than RDAs? I use a MXv4 at around 130w, haven't used it in a while, but from what I remember the vapor difference wasn't that big. I'm gonna have to pull the MXv4 out and test that out lol.

This is why I DIY. After I got my TFV4, I went through 90ml the first week (3x my normal amount). What can I say, the flavor those quad coils pump out at 120W is insane.

Sent From My Moto E

My DIY taste plenty awesome through my Aeolus dual coil .36 @ 38 watts with no need to choke myself out (5 ml) ...........
