Seeing so many folks talking about the nic level they find comfortable for them. I'm just starting, but here is what I'm seeing for myself.

Got a bottle of 12mg and 24mg to start as I wasn't sure what I would need. Well I'm not experiencing headaches, but I feel kinda weird when I vape on the 24. Am also experiencing loss of appetite when I vape.
My goal is to get down to 0mg. I'm thinking of just starting to use 0mg juice. I saw some makes that are 8mg, thinking about trying that. I am really wondering if I'm getting more nic by vaping than I had previously with cigs.

I'm finding that during the day I vape lightly. But at night I will get heavy on it, going maybe an hour or two. Not just sitting and puffing for that length of time. But hitting the pv several times whenever the opportunity presents itself, then dropping it back into my pocket.
Doesn't really feel like I'm satisfying a craving, I think I'm doing it because its a new sensation, and because it doesn't smell or linger on/about me.

I'm thinking more and more of just going 0mg because I seem to be "binge" vaping, and losing appetite, and sometimes feeling a little out of sorts. Feel things less it seems when I use the 12mg. Also finding I am getting a little forgetful, making me feel geriatric.

Was wondering if anyone else is vaping, just for pleasure, using 0mg and what it took them to get there.

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
I made some 0mg mixes out of VG and extracts. Works very well. When I feal like chain vaping, I use some pure vanilla extract with VG about 1 part vanilla to 4 part VG. Very enjoyable. I'll be experimenting more with it, but I have cut down my nicotine usage tremendosly without much trouble. I was a 1 to 2 PPD smoker a couple of weeks ago and smoked my last analog over a week ago. Very pleased I did.

When I first quit analogs, 24mg just didn't cut it, for me. Used 36mg for 2 weeks and then pulled back to 28mg for about 6 weeks. Now I'm doing 22-18mg and it doesn't seem much different than when I was at 36mg.

My goal is step down to 0mg and then just do that for 6 or 7 weeks. After that, my addiction should be purely mental and I should be able to just give it all up.

...Since I'm a total junkie, you'll probably have to put up with me for a long time.

Not a problem at all Quasi! I enjoy the wisdom and humor in your posts.

Hey KJ4!

At the very beginning of my journey I gave myself 6 months: 90 days to wean off cigarettes (not necessarily "quit"), and 90 days to wean off nic.

It's very easy to control your nic levels when you mix your own. I like to keep all of my juices at one nic level and vary my nic INTAKE by my vaping, e.g., chain vape when I need more, and vice versa.

Last month I was at 25mg. Started my 90-day program this month by mixing down all of my juices to 18mg, next month 12, then 6, and 0mg in October. That's my 90-day plan to work down to zero.

Like LowThud, I use 0 nic a lot to chain vape, and to relax late at night. My simple mix is just vg (I like massive vapor), home made menthol drops, touch of spearmint, and I added a touch of tangerine this month (vaping it now as I write). Quite cool and refreshing.

started at 24, tried to jump down to 6 and it was too hard. (just fyi, i wouldnt suggest making such a drastic jump)

the problem for me is that I get less throat hit with lover nic levels and without the throat hit I just vape harder and harder till my head hurts. I have mixed the 2 liquids I have and like that.. I will be moving down slowly, however, at high level nic vaping I can easily cut back on the amount of vaping I do.

the best thing in the world to me is that I can pull my pv out of my pocket and take 2 puffs, then put it back and never miss a beat. dont have to budget time in the day for cig breaks. Or step outside at 3 am if im up all night (like tonight lol)

I posted detail on my journey somewhere else in the boards but can't remember where, so here's a Cliff's Notes version.

I started at 16mg when I first quit and stayed there for about 4 months. Then I cut it in half to 8mg for a month, then in half again to 4mg then zero. It was totally easy. In truth the body can get over the addiction to nicotine in a matter of days. For most people it's about the behavioural addiction that makes us fall off the wagon. E cigs do a great job of satisfying that.

But we all know that nic is a stimulant and this year I wanted to lose some weight - which I did!!! 36lbs since Jan 1). So I went back to nic to get the metabolism going and it worked beautifully. After being on 0 nic for many months the first day on 16 mg had me totally zooming!! But our bodies adapt really fast and it's settled in to a norm now. I'm going to do a slow wean again once I shed a bit more. The secret is to do it slowly and either adjust your excersize or diet to allow for the loss of nic stimulant.

But the bottom line is that it's really an easy thing to reduce. So many of us have a psycological thing about how much nic we "require". But in truth you can go down on nic and never notice a thing.
