Anyway to get a "brushed" look on a polished ss tube?

Any method of using the sandpaper? I'm just imagining scratches everywhere or something lol

To get it smooth and even you need to spin the tube on the long axis. A lathe is ideal, but you can improvise with a hand drill and a vise. Fashion a way to hold the tube, spin it at low RPM and apply the abrasive as evenly as possible.

Warning: it's not easy to get it to look perfect.

Scotchbrite pads will do a better job than sandpaper. Use a long bolt with washers bigger than the tube and a nut to hold it tight, bolt needs to be long enough to chuck into the drill or lathe.

Which scotchbrite pads, though? They make brown (very coarse), green, blue...any idea which?
